I also agree, because long-term investing will be much more profitable if we are on the right project, but from trading people can also raise money quickly because they are always watching the market all the time, so I think trading is more difficult and must have a lot of knowledge.

Even a substantial knowledge can only get you so far when it comes to unexpected events and we all know such events can and do happen. Could be an announcement by politician or tax authorities or a security breach of an exchange and the whole market might go into the red.

for me i prefer investing which means i need to be patient as much as possible to make good profits. trading is good as you can make quick and daily profit if you are good in research and chart analysis. the choice is yours base on your strength.

I did 2 of this option because from my experience in bullish market on 2017, holding/invest in good coin will be offer better ROI than trading. But before we make invest in any crypto we should be make research to know how strong this project in fundamental and the team behind it. Good decision to invest in low cap coin with good fundamental because this crypto more possible to offer high ROI. Trading also offer good ROI but this activity need more times and possibility make stress, use compound strategy and stop loss will better for trading activity to minimize the loss and to maximize the profit.

Investing deals with buying of a coin and holding for longterm, most times it's about buying at the private sales, public sales, IDO or during an IEO or maybe spotting a gem already trading in the market, then you invest and hold for a long-term.

For trading you have to actively spend time watching the market chart, and concentrate on buying low and selling at a higher price, trading is alot more stressful and risky than investing, that's why I would advice you to invest rather than trade.

He was an avid researcher and always follows what many says here that you need to invest and use money that you can AFFORD to lose. He said he can start with 10 dollars. He saw that the token can only be bought by connecting a Metamask ETH account to the website - not sure how that works but ok. He has 50 dollars worth of ETH on his old HitBTC account that he willingly accepted using and transfer to his newly created Metamask account. But the problem is the HitBTC withdrawal fee of 0.0115 ETH is too much for his small ETH amount that he has on his exchange. He tried checking fees on Binance and saw that it is also $27.00 much to his dismay. He cannot think of any way he can put money to his Metamask account since we are in Asia then he felt that the crypto ecosystem particularly that of ETH must be designed for rich people and that poor guys like him do not have a chance at this game.

So his supposedly first time investing experience was met with a hard slap on the face by the ETH fees and he cannot put his small ETH from HitBTC to his Metamask account. If you can only hear his curses and cries of anguish.

The average transaction fee varies from $20 - $30 right now, which is not acceptable for anyone who wants to start with smaller investments in any token based on the ETH chain. It's sad and I can't see how that can be brought down in the near future. It is problematic because it forces small investors to go with an alternative that they might not like as much.

Scalability will take time and for now it is what we have to deal with.

If person do not have any experience in trading it is better to invest. It must be simple to buy and sell the coin. So liquidity of the coin is important. mate it,s totally depends upon you if you have money so you have to decide where you invest in which cryptocurrency both investment is really good instead of trading. you can mush profit if hold in few months if you want more profit than daily trading. but investment with really careful before any invest. mostly people make huge profit as long term . and pick good fundamental projects. after all you have decide which you have best option . thanks for interesting question

I also had same problem, When price went up I confused what to do, but now I have understand what to do. I suggest you to do same. When price goes up you should sell your 10-20% altcoin amount and wait and see what is happening now with price then take your decision for full amount of altcoin.
