Well, my point of view on this one is it will depend on the coin like if it is too much volatile then I'd say it's better if you will go for trade but if it is not that volatile enough but expected to make a pump then investing will be the best option. To put it simply, trading is better in the short term while investments are better in the long term. Besides, in trading, you must be quick because the price could change at any moment so it will be quite risky while long-term investment, on the other hand, all you need to do is choose the best coin you think, buy at the dip then HODL.

For me investing is my thing because I cannot do a lot of trading because it just takes a lot of time and you need to analyze the market charts as well as doing a lot of research.

And I don't really have a lot of time to do daily trading, for me investing especially for long-term investment is a much higher profit especially if you enter at a low price in a token and exited at a peak price.

investing in altcoins is good now the risk is very small ,compared to trading against humans who hold the most capital.

nice idea. i did that too. i never take out my money from my investment for my daily needs. just set aside my money for daily trading and take the profit. i invested my money in bitcoin and still keep it till now. i make my btc investment as a long-term while hoping that the bull market will keep continue.
