When a club makes a lot of debt, that would ruin their future as well. That is the problem Galatasaray has right now, Fatih Terim (weirdly liked by many to this day) spent so much money for this current roster that can't even crack into top 10, which means not only they failed, but they also spent the money they didn't have to fail.

This results with the team not being financially strong enough to contest the league title for the upcoming seasons unless they find good cheap players. A good president would not allow something like this.

I do not think that they are great on paper. Which position do you think that they are "great"? You think two amazingly slow defenders like marcao and nellson could be great? Or taylan and berkan midfield should be able to start a new position? Mustafa muhammed is the best they could do on a striker deal? I believe that they have been horrible from the get go because they never really had any chances to build a good roster at all. They need better and better players for sure.

I can see the defense staying the same, that could be done one way or another, but I have to say it is nearly impossible for that midfield to ever have any success at all, their midfield was and still is horrible. Just the duo of cicaldau and morutan and spending 10+ million euro on them is bad enough move.
