They lose their bet because the fight ended in round 11, a good win by Canelo and it's not really that exciting to know who will win as starting in round 4 he already won every round, and just like what he did in his past opponents, he slowly dismantles them until the body will give up.

If it's Canelo whose fighting, upset is a slim possibility. The betting here is just on the way Canelo gets that win, either by knockout or decision.

Heading into round 11, I thought that my bet of Canelo winning by decision is a win until Canelo landed that left hook to the head  .

But kudos to Plant who gives Canelo a hard in the early round via that shoulder roll which he abandoned in the championship rounds  .

I lost by just a one round.

I have Canelo winning the fight in 7/8/9. And I was rooting for Caleb to go down in the 9th round.

Unfortunately it didn't happen, maybe I should have bet on 8/9/10 for Canelo.

Anyways, that's gambling, very close, but no dice for me in this match. But congrats to Canelo for being the unified super middle weight champion.

Not a surprising result. Canelo did what he does to every opponent. He wore Plant down with body shots and finished him off in the late rounds.

Yep, Plant put up a good fight though in the beginning and it's really bothering Canelo early because he can't get inside. But once Canelo negate that jab, then he was able to get inside, slip in his left hook which Caleb took.

However, we all know that sooner or later you will get tired and then the power of Canelo is consistent from round 1 up to the end of the fight. Plant was too tired by all those left hooks and body shots.

Canelo proved to be the master tactician, like what we all expected he size him up then work on the body in the middle round, and finally, in the championship round he masterfully imposed himself because he knows the early body shots will take their toll, it's always been like that size up his opponent work on the body then impose yourself to get a knockout, masterfully done.

That's the time when Golovkin was much younger and Canelo hasn't figured out him yet but still it would be a money fight if Canelo delays his plan of moving to the Light Heavyweight category and fight GGG one more time as people think that Canelo has unfinished business with him.

IMO, the Light Heavyweight category is the division that could give Canelo more resistance as he will be fighting bigger opponent though slow but they still hit hard.

Canelo really too good was like a doctor dissecting his patience, lol. Caleb has a good defense, but it wasn't enough, that shoulder roll is not very effective for a counter left hook of Canelo in the fight. It looks like his left hook is missing early, but it's not. It's hitting Caleb square-off, but the accumulation of punches and fatigue and it's just a matter of time before Canelo will knock him out, just like in the Kovalev fight.

I agree, Charlo brothers has nothing to offer to Canelo, they hasn't beat any name fighters in their resume, while Andrade the same, just looking for a good paycheck before he retires.

Options for Canelo is to move up to 175 lbs, Bivol or Beterbiev, that will be an amazing fight as those two are also heavy punches and have been avoided.

Not sure if Canelo is open to move up to LHW, he said after the fight with Kovalev is that he is no longer going to campaign on this weight. Maybe his team knows that it's really hard to go up in weight and super middleweight in his home.

However, he already swept obviously he got the 4 belts in modern era.

It's probably not his priority now, he showed to the world that is the best fighter in his division by making history. A fair fight for both since both of them are excellent fighters especially Canelo who just won another belt which makes him one of the undisputed champions. He just comes back and proves that the past will not hinder the result of today because you can always change yourself and use every opportunity to upgrade yourself for tomorrow. Congratulations to him and his team as he managed to climb a record where no one has ever been there. He just becomes the sixth boxer to hold all four belts.

It was Canelo who won the fight and he is now the unified champion, also, he made history beating Plant in this fight.
The start was good, Plant had a chance but eventually, Canelo found the right strategy to beat Plant and knock him out.

No way, in fact, Dana White shut down the idea after watching Canelo knock out Plant, Usman had a good chance in the cage but in the ring, no way Canelo is the king of the ring and Usman will not last a round inside the ring against Canelo, a lot of UFC fighters experienced humiliating losses against boxers celebrity with the exception of Silva who is a boxer in the early years of his fighting careers.

Many are shock on the way Caleb showcase his skills, knocking out Caleb was out of the box now he gain a huge attention and probably a moral booster for him especially on his next matches, he’s a dangerous guy.

Decent fight last night canelo looked good.  For me plant gambled to much by staying inside him all night.  Think if he stayed back and just waited to counter he might have been able to catch canelo in a spot or 2.  Either way plant put up a good fight but canelo was just too much for him.

I don't think he can do that all night or all through the course of the fight, the body punches are just too much, Canelo invested in the body punches in the early rounds so he can cash out in the latter rounds, this has been his strategy on all his fights and unfortunately for his opponents they cannot solve it, they will eventually stop dancing around in the later rounds because of fatigue caused by early body punches.
I love to watch Canelo because of his game plan that he can execute perfectly, new boxers can learn from his style.
