129.6 - Wilson pounds and Valdez 129.7 pounds. Good to see that both make the weight without any problems.

This is going to be a great battle, this two doesn't back down from any challenge. It's going to be one of the best fights if they live up to the hype and both shows their warrior mentality.

In typical Valdez fashion the fight lived up to the hype and it was an exciting slugfest. Valdez with his experience proved to be the better fighter tonight, although he did have to take some damage. Valdez is champion once again, albeit an interim one, and will have the opportunity to make some intriguing matchups against some of the other belt holders. All the wars he’s been in have taken their toll but I think he still has enough to beat somebody like O’Shaquie Foster.

Still at awe at how Valdez can still fight like that throughout his career, it was really a brawl from round 1. Throwing heavy jabs and so Valdez face took most of the damage. But it's more of his heart that really keep him in this fight. He wanted to show to his fans that he can still become a champion even if it is just for a interim belt. But nevertheless having this belt he will have his chance against the regular belt holder.

Wilson might have to fight and go back in his Australia though to have some tune up. Fights that will give back his confidence again. His losses is very bad in the US though, but it was against a very tough Mexican brawler.

^ Interesting as well is the fight in the women's division, Seniesa & Valle. This is for the undisputed minimum belt. Both women make the weight, Seniesa Estrada 104.2 lbs vs. Yokasta Valle 104.3 lbs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z7KK9l_kdM

Here is the video where they exchanges not so pleasantries.

And as per the link given, both are in total shape.

And this lady put up a good fight as expected, it went to the distance though, as Seniesa Estrada outpoints Yokasta Valle, 97-93 from the 3 judges scoring at ring side.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UAcmIJ2WvI

I agree with the winner here, as I have said, it's close by Estrada has more pop from his pump and good techniques throwing it. As compare to Valle who I think is just throwing everything and his punch doesn't have that snap that Estrada has.

Maybe we will see a rematch?

^^ Yes, that's something that Filipinos will be proud for putting it's name on boxing history for this great fight between two of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all time. I think that price will go up as many big boxing fans wanted to have that in their room and hang and be proud to let everyone see that they have it.

Not sure if this is one of the most expensive boxing memorabilia in recent years.

So just imagine like 50 years from now, those sign shorts of Manny Pacquiao and how much it will fetch,  Grin

Interesting development here, Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis Signs Multifight Promotional Deal With Matchroom

Quote
Eddie Hearn and Matchroom have won the race to sign one of boxing’s hottest properties, as Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis has signed a multi-fight promotional deal in partnership with Boots Promotions.

He held the IBF 147 lbs belt, however, Terrence Crawford said that he is not interested in fighting Ennis. Not that he duck him or what, but according to him, he is not a PPV star and it seems that Crawford after becoming a free agent, it just looking for big money fights.

Career wise it might be a good move for Ennis as Eddie Hearn can guide his career better as now he has the belt. And we have been waiting for him, Crawford and Spence to go and fight each other. Maybe this is a great time since Hearn is a good manager and maybe he can talk to this guys, offer them good money just for us fans to see this great fight.

But in any case there is no progress for this year, as this two will have a rematch or Crawford talking about a Canelo fight, and looking at the rankings, he could defend his belt to their #3 rank which is Cody Crowley just to get busy for this year.

I believe Ennis’ lawsuit, seeking to be released from his former promoter, has not been resolved. I wonder if there is some kind of deal that was made between the former promoter and Matchroom and the lawsuit will be dropped.

Ennis’ career has stagnated in recent years, so it was a good move to separate from NOW Boxing, Stephen Espinoza, and PBC. Matchroom and DAZN don’t have a great welterweight stable but he will at least remain active, and that could lead to some bigger fights eventually.

I thought Boots is one of those fighters that will remain loyal and worships Al Haymon even if there are bigger offers outside. Well, at least he proved his loyalty in the past when he rejected the offer of Crawford for the WBO belt and then bark like a stupid dog when Crawford unified all the belts and clearly has no intention of remaining in the division.

Boots has the skills and power but he is untested. Eddie and DAZN have the deepest pockets in the sport while also partnered with Saudi Arabia. Maybe Crawford should vacate all the remaining belts now and let the young guns fight each other.

This is a big piece of boxing history, a worn shorts by the Greatest of all time, Muhammad Ali has been auction with a staggering $6 million.

It is truly said that there is no price for the interest and people are willing to pay anything which is the belongings of their favorite players. Whoever gets it, it will be an incredible piece of sports memory, Muhammad Ali is undoubtedly one of the most iconic figures in boxing history.
Seeing the price of it as $6 Million, it shows how much value people place on items connected to such legendary athletes.

I never collected or showed any interest in collecting sports memorabilia myself nor do I have any favorite pieces related to sports history. The only reason is that these items are priced so high and that only you are extra rich and a millionaire can afford these masterpieces.

That's also what I'm thinking, not giving Ennis a chance because he is no PPV star? Look who's talking, perhaps it was Crawford wanted a bigger fish and he is waiting for the rematch against Spence, whether 147 or 154 lbs. And he has to remember that he is no getting any younger as well. I will agree that this is a surprised move by Ennis as PBC might have the most numbers of welterweight fighters. But I guess the final straw is not getting Spence and so he decided to try Eddie Hearn to guide him, like what Matchroom did to Canelo. And maybe Ennis wanted to get a piece of that huge "oil money" that some of the boxers are getting right now. As we all know that Haney is close to his Excellency Turki Alalshikh.

Hopefully with this move, Ennis will be more active this year under Eddie Hearn. Who knows, maybe we can see him and Benn fighting this year?

As long as Ennis opponent is not just second tier boxer and again being active, I think this is a good move for him. The thing with Hearn though is that his fighters are not exclusive for him, I mean he can try to negotiate an fight others in the other stable to exposed his boxers.

So let's see who will be his initial opponent being a Matchroom boxer.

Yes, all of that will happen because Muhammad Ali is heavyweight boxing legend who is truly an idol for everyone, even Mike Tyson, who is boxing legend with various heavyweight titles, also idolizes Muhammad Ali.
Those people who have more wealth will definitely pay lot of money for some of the valuable items left by Muhammad Ali and owning or keeping valuable items belonging to the boxing legend also gives them sense of pride.
And this is not the only valuable item left by Muhammad Ali, so perhaps in the future we will all see other items being auctioned for prices much greater than $6 million.

Moreover, it will be worth much more in the future and this will become collectible item that is really used as an investment by some people because many rich people also deliberately buy and keep it not only for pride but also as profitable valuable item.

You can listen in this interview and see what his plans his,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8bsQ-pGFbg

And it's obvious that he want all the smoke at 147 lbs, Crawford, Spence. He can get this fight if the money is right. The good thing is that he will stay active now, and he can go global, meaning it will include exposure in Saudi as Eddie Hearn is one of the most powerful promoter in that side of Middle East now.

If we look at the rankings, the Canadian Cody Crowley is his mandatory.

Yes, even before that video surfaces, I was hinting that a Cody Crowley fight is good for Ennis, just to stay active and answer all those criticism of not fighting his mandatory since he has been reinstated as a full pledge champion now and not just a interim belt holder.

So this could be a great fight, and he can show his tools and wares and what's the hype is all about for him and why Crawford says that he doesn't want to fight Ennis for now. And then after Crowley, he can call Spence and Bud Crawford again and for me he deserves a title shot or at least bodies should put pressure specially on Crawford to fight Ennis.

And then after Crowley, he can call Spence and Bud Crawford again and for me he deserves a title shot or at least bodies should put pressure specially on Crawford to fight Ennis.

Well, talk is cheap. Ennis talked about being the best in the division and yet he did not put strong pressure on Errol Spence to execute his IBF mandate. And it's a fact that he ducked Crawford when offered for the WBO belt. That lame excuse that Al Haymon treated him well so they want PBC to promote his fights and not of Crawford's choice who's actually the champion. And then he barked about wanting Crawford later when he unified all the belts. So he was willing to fight outside PBC then or he was just bluffing.

Now that he is out of PBC, Matchroom is more than willing to offer him fights to other promoters too. We'll see if he calls the other top tier guys because I doubt Crawford or even Spence are interested at 147.

^^ Perhaps he was frustrated from PBC for not giving him the chance to fight Spence, hehehe. But now that he is out, he can chase them, but I do agree that both are not interested on fighting Ennis.

It's not a clear duck in my opinion, it's that Ennis can't put the money that both Spence and Crawford wanted as a 147 lbs and as reported, there could be a rematch in the horizon whether 147 lbs or 154 lbs, leaving Ennis behind. But let's see how Eddie Hearn can guide his career, he might pull some strings and put Ennis in the headlines in Middle East with big money for his new boxer.

So I doubt that PBC will have to postponed that or the governing body not forcing the mandatory because it's a huge fight.

And after winning all the belts, Crawford is no longer interested on him. It's a career move, we can't blame him for that leaving PBC. And most likely Eddie Hearn could have sweetened the deal and has good offers money wise for Ennis.

I really think that Oscar Valdez has more experience than Liam Wilson and that solid close-combat performance was really epic it was classic or vintage but at the same time was a masterclass performance from Oscar Valdez, and Liam Wilson doesn't have an answer in that barrage of punch that he was taking it was really something that Liam Wilson don't have any answer and he can not move anymore in round 7 it was really eminent that the referee would just need to stop the fight because he had seen enough one-sided beating from Oscar Valdez.

In boxing news,

Quote
Shorts worn by Muhammad Ali in one of the greatest fights of all time could be auctioned off for up to $6million.

https://www.boxingscene.com/signed-muhammad-ali-fight-worn-shorts-from-thrilla-manilla-reach-6-million-auction--182589

This is a big piece of boxing history, a worn shorts by the Greatest of all time, Muhammad Ali has been auction with a staggering $6 million.

https://www.sothebys.com/en/articles/muhammad-ali-thrilla-in-manila-everlast-boxing-shorts

Lucky for the multi-millionaire who will get this piece of memorabilia and hopefully it will land on a real boxing fans.

That was great memorabilia from the Legend Muhammad Ali and for sure if this was auctioned for that kind of amount it would be an even much bigger amount in the future this piece of boxing shirt was worn by the legendary boxer it is worth another fortune, I really think that even the legendary Manny Pacquiao's clothes and worn shorts that he used during his boxing career all of those could have a significant value it will be a privilege and an opportunity for someone to have a possession of something like this.

And Breaking news Ryan Garcia won against Devin Haney it was an upset for the Champion that he was defeated by the Underdog Ryan Garcia it was really imminent that Ryan Garcia had the upper hand he had the speed and the feints were really effective against Devin Haney, even though the Referee was on Haney's side it was pretty much imminent that he was because he always breaks the two apart and always getting Garcia back in the ropes while letting Haney sets up the upperhand while Garcia was in the corner, and keeping up the time in shaking Haney's gloves if he is OK giving Devin Haney much time to rest.

Well this is just what have seen in watching the fight it is up to you as an audience what have you seen but despite all this Ryan Garcia still won the fight.

Haney-Garcia lived up to its hype. Full of drama and some questionable decisions. Most if not all were expecting Haney to easily dominate Ryan Garcia. What was more unexpected though was when Ryan Garcia landed a huge left hook that badly hurt Haney in the very first round. It changed the tempo of the whole fight. Haney was still winning the next rounds but he remained unstable and Ryan already found his range and is just waiting for his opportunity again.

It's just annoying how the referee was helping Haney a lot. He never deducted a point on Haney for the countless hugs. There were times he interrupted when Haney is hugging while Ryan's hands were free. But he let Haney punch when Ryan is the one clinching. One judge also tried to rob Ryan of a clear win. And corrupt WBC still retained Haney as its champion when it should've been declared vacant because he failed to defend it.
