Perhaps there is no hype on this fight because of the weight category, we all know that big fight is in 147 lbs. But there is a potential clash and making some noise between Crawford going down to 140 lbs again to face Josh.

It's because of Taylor's opponent, that's why there is no buzz in this fight.

I guess the better move for him is to go to 147 and test the waters if he wins this fight. Or probably wait for the 135 lbs, like Lopez moving up in weight or even Tank Davis, who already try 140 lbs and won a belt. And that's where the money is, not fighting someone that boxing fans are not familiar.

We can also tell that the fight will be one sided basing on the betting odds alone.

I don't think it will happen on the next month, Bob Arums seems hurried to make this fight will happen. This pandemic still not going well, Japan is really strict to keep their healthy and not affected. Maybe this fight will still happen in this year, but not too soon.

I disagree because Casimero's name is not as big as Nonito Donaire. Casimero's was also made to look like a clown versus Rigondeaux after he was saying before the fight that he would knock Rigondeaux out. Donaire's last 2 fights ended his opponents in knockouts. If you are the promoter would you promote the fight that will be liked less and sell less tickets or will you promote a rematch between 2 exciting boxers in the bantamweight division?

However, why is Bob Arum making this fight only 1 month after the speculative announcement? Inoue and Donaire do not need to train? But this is an important fight.

- Naoya Inoue wants to plan of coming back in June but that was depend on Japan's restriction which from what I read, will be lifted now on April instead of the speculation that it will be on June. Therefore, the Japanese monster might fight right away and Donaire is the best pick for that.

- Casimero will fight Paul Butler next month. if let's say he win, it needs again another 3 months of preparation to fight another boxer. I think 2 months is not enough for Casimero to rest and prepare against Inoue.

- Donaire also don't want to wait hanging for long. If he will be on the final stage, he have to wait until 4Q to face either Casimero and Inoue.

I don't see the change of result still but it may be challenging now for Inoue to beat Donaire because Donaire can now gauge how hard the punch is and may take extra precautions in this rematch.

It's because the fight has been in works since January of this year.

The first fight was recognised as a modern day classic and now it looks as though bantamweights Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire are going to do it again. As per a tweet that was put out by boxing writer Manouk Akopyan, the two champions have started negotiations for an April rematch, with Donaire’s Probellum promoter Richard Schaefer informing Akopyan of the news. And this is indeed exciting news.

So there is no master plan from Arum, simply they have this in works since the start of the year and could have sign the contract like in February or early March. And that's why they just announced it this week. So they have been preparing for this fight months ago prior to the official announcement.
