Andy Ruiz will be making his comeback fight in a few hours against Damian Knyba in New Jersey. It will be a 12 round bout. Ruiz is inactive for more than two years as his last fight was in August of 2026, ring rust might play a factor on this fight so i'm putting my money on Knyba to win via decision. Knyba lost his last fight against Agit Kabayel just this January of this year.

Eddie Hearn has promised Ruiz if he win this one, he may face Anthony Joshua next.

I also missed it because I thought it was happening tomorrow. Since DAZN has a partnership with a cable network for this new series, boxing has to move aside during the college football season.

When I saw them face to face, I thought Knyba had a really good chance of winning. Ruiz looked slimmer than usual, but there was a massive height difference. Ruiz has also not looked good since beating Anthony Joshua. That fight was 7 years ago.

He has kept trying to recapture some of that glory. After squandering his prime years, it is time for him to accept reality and move on.

Yeah, Andy Ruiz is done and basing on his performance today, he should retire and hang the gloves for good.
As for Damian Knyba, we should watch out for this fighter, he might be wild card on the heavyweight division.

Anyone seen this video? There is this one circulating and Broner was asking for a rematch (maybe this is just a joke as we all know that Broner is out of shape already).

And past forward to 1:01, you can see that Marcos Maidana has still that 6 pack, lol. Still, his body was in shape, obviously he can some weight though. But then Broner might have to think twice seeing how Chino is still fit even if he has retired more many years now.

I speculate that the next opponent might be a boxing superstar who will be considered not very much difficult for King Ry. Would it be shocking if I said that the next opponent will be Pacman?

Pacman wants to fight. However, he does not want to fight a boxer with no name. This is either a fight against Floyd Gayweather or a challenge for a championship.

I guess it's because the didn't took any damage on the fight against Conor that's why he still wanted to get one fight. But December might be too early as there are no fighters that might be available for him.

It's better to just take it slowly, and wait for Teo Lopez for next year for another super fight for him. Pitbull Cruz as you said will have a fight this weekend and he needs go to up in weight at 147 lbs.

Might not be possible as fighters are contractually obligated to have a rest after a fight. We might even here them "officially suspended". To give their body a rest.

So we might have to wait for a Garcia vs Lopez fight next year, preferably in May wherein Ryan Garcia is now the officially get the Mexican day fight. So in May we will have the Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo.

Possible too that it could be against Manny Pacquiao as that is what Ryan wanted for a long time.

King Ry has only 1 more fight in his contract under Golden Boy promotions. I reckon that after this he will have his own management promotion that will partner with Zuffa boxing very much similar to the crying Haney who has his own management promotion but he is partnering with boxing promoters.

I speculate that after Cinco de Mayo, if King Ry gets the victory for the unification fight against Teo, it will be another unification against the crying Haney on 2027 Mexican independence day!

On Pitbull, the fight will be on 147 if he wants to challenge King Ry.

But the money though, so it's better for Ryan as you have said to avenge his loss against Rolly or a Teo or Haney fight.

Seen some post though about Shakur and Ryan, but Shakur said that he wants rehydration clause. Or even wanted to fight Haney at a catch weight of 144 lbs. That's why he is drawing a lot of criticism.

While Ryan Garcia won't even bother to have that kind of clause in his fight. Like in the Conor Benn fight wherein it was reported that Benn has rehydrated to 170 lbs. But it didn't concern Ryan at all and put him in canvass.

All the folks saying that Bivol is ducking Beterbiev that’s why he doesn’t wanna go for the trilogy, they are just noise makers and even Beterbiev himself knows that’s not the case.

Although i would not totally blame if he thinks Bivol is ducking him, i mean he’s old, has not been very active and wants the rubber match while he still got it in him, that’s understandable but things don’t get to go the way you want all the time.

Bivol had a mandatory opponent to fight at the time of Beterbiev’s call for a rematch, and assuming Bivol had accepted the fight with Artur, he would have automatically lost a belt which means even if Artur beats him he won’t be getting all the undisputed championship belts.

IMO i wouldn’t say that he was running, he had to choose between aiming to be undisputed lightheavyweight champion and fighting a 40 year old tuff guy for the third time and he chose the first, you can’t blame him for that unless you’re oblivious to how sanctioning authorities and belt politics actually work in boxing.

I was talking about a potential fight in December where he is going to choose an easier opponent to stay busy. It would be better to cherry pick Rolly, even as he comes off a loss, than Pitbull who is undersized for welterweight. Ryan is as much of a scammer as Tank if he keeps on fighting weight drained bums and blown up midgets. Not that I actually feel bad for the Epstein class Saudi rulers who are the ones losing massive amounts of money on their poor investments.

He already gave up the WBC belt when they were supposed to go to purse bids for a fight with David Benavidez. He fought an unknown German guy instead. Making a defense against Callum Smith is unnecessary. I believe there is already an agreement to fight Beterbiev next in Russia, so he isn’t necessarily ducking, but I feel he has been stalling to age him out a bit.

Agree, all road now leads to King Ry, so it's not that he doesn't want to fight Romero for a rematch. But there are bigger fish for Ryan now, like the fights that you mentioned and for sure fans here wanted to see that bigger fight instead of Romero.

Romero could be there for him, but not in the next couple of fights. Teo most likely will get the first dub at Ryan. And if Ryan was successful then Haney will be next for him. Not sure about Shakur, as he was talking about catch weight and rehydration clause.

While Tank will have to deal with his personal issues and it's just pity to see him like this.
