Good news for boxing fans, WBO orders Terence Crawford to face Sebastian Fundora.

The World Boxing Organization on Wednesday ordered World Boxing Association belt holder Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) to meet Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs), declaring that the sides have 30 days to strike an agreement or the bout will be sent to purse bid.

And with that we will see the WBO having just one champion at the end of the day as Crawford holds the interim belt, while Fundora is the full champ having beaten Tim Tszyu in a bloody fight.

So it's good to see that at least boxing organization are forcing their champion/s to fight each other. And after much talk of a Canelo Alvarez vs Bud Crawford, I don't think that is it going to happen. Crawford might be busy unifying the super welterweight division and there are a lot of great fighters too at 154 lbs right now.

Who do you think will be the favorite going into this fight?

Of course, when we see 2 great boxers it will always be good for the boxing fans. And I think this is to be anticipated, both are champions but there should only be one standing champion and so they will have to fight this one out. I think it will be Crawford who is going to be the favorite here, nevertheless, it will be a challenge for Bud to see how he is going to adjust with the height and length advantage of Fundora. We have seen Tim struggled and then lost his belt against Sebastian. But we all know how tactical boxer is Bud is. So maybe he will figure it out along the fight and then readjust as necessary. As for fighting Canelo, it's hard seeing Bud at 168 lbs and then maintain his power or his quickness and it will be a mismatch. Although it's going to be a career payday for him but most likely he will take it maybe as his last fight before retiring.

They are still hoping though that Canelo is going to give them a shot after his fight with Berlanga.

Oh yes, it will be a real fight either one of them will be a big challenge for Benavidez, regardless of his injury against Gvozdyk, we should give the big guy a big tap on his shoulder as he give everything against David, and he almost pull a upset. It's going to be a big factor for him, there are a lot of boxers that is used to have a brittle hand, take for example Floyd Mayweather. If my memory serves me right, he has history of injuring his hands and prior to fighting, he will have someone inject some sort of medicine to numb the pain and it's totally legal or at least when he fought in his native Las Vegas.

So that hand injury could be a bad sign for David Benavidez as he is going up in weight and potentially fighting boxers that have a solid and good chin. And so he will go and punch so hard that he might re-injured it again and again as it will be brittle due to the wear and tear.

He wouldn't fight either one of them. Just imagine, if Benavidez wins, it means he's better than Bivol, and Canelo wouldn't want that since he already lost to Bivol in their previous fight. Even more so if Bivol wins again. So, we shouldn't expect it to happen. Canelo seems more focused on easy fights for the money now and probably doesn't want to risk losing again after what happened with Bivol.

They might not want to admit it, but we have seen that Canelo is declining, starting from his John Ryder fight. That's why he chooses boxers that he can easily defeat. But they could deceived fans because his opponents seems to be good in paper. But hardcore fans knows what Canelo is doing here.

So money first for him, like Floyd when he was about to go out as well. And he is signing like 2-3 fights as well on whoever he wants to like Matchroom's Eddie Hearn. However, I do not see Canelo having to get the money from the Saudi's because him and HE Turki Alalshikh as somewhat in a disagreement.

Canelo has been always a double edge when it comes to his standard. That time Benavidez is too young or doesn't have the experience and he has to build his resume face, plus he was caught with illegal drugs as well in his system, so Canelo doesn't want to fight him.

But then later on his career, he cherry picks opponents, Charlo as career 154 lbs who has to move up 2 divisions. And then Munguia a Mexican, but doesn't have the experience and then Berlanga, a good fighter, good boxer in paper, but still the same with Munguia, doesn't possesses the tools to beat this version of Canelo as he is too notice.

And Canelo will face Benavidez for at least $200 million as per report.

Speaking of hand injuries, it is also reported that Shakur Stevenson did break his knuckle and did go under the knife for a quick surgery and his fight with Cordina is not cancelled. So it's obvious that the hands are the first one to get injured for this top level boxers and hopefully they can recover very fast.

That's one advantage of being young, their body tends to heal very quick. And since Benavidez doesn't have a schedule fight, then it's good for him to rest till next year. But for sure he will be tuning in on the Beterbiev vs Bivol fight as he says that he will challenge the winner.

He has a bright future indeed and that's why his name keeps popping up as a potential fight for Canelo, a Mexican vs Mexican fight, but so far Canelo doesn't want none of Benavidez that many suspected that he is ducking, or just making a lot of excuses like demanding a huge paycheck from the powerful broker in Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh. But how can you blame Canelo for not facing David at this point of his career, the dude is young and bigger and a powerful puncher.

That's why him and his dad opted to go to Light-Heavyweight division, a bigger division so that he can have face boxers.
