I've seen some posts about that, but Pacquiao vs. Shakur is not yet finalized, and there's still no official announcement for the match. But if this fight is going to happen, I'm not really sure who will win. Looking at their statistics and personal information, Pacquiao is much older than Shakur, and there are a lot of things that he may have to learn the hard way. What I think makes this upcoming match interesting is that both of them are southpaws, which is kinda strange for us.
Well, Pacquiao is already a legend in this sports, so whether he wins or loses against Shakur, his supporters will still consider him as the grand champion & for sure, the majority will probably be betting on Pacman's side including me.
Me I'm already very sure who will win, yes Pacman is a legend but he is an old legend, Shakur is still 29 years old, still very young and very quick. Might not have the same power as Pacman, but dude is young, Pacman won't be able to win that fight if he will push through, what he would win is guaranteed money as people will certainly watch. I would call it more like an exhibition even if it could be a pro fight because there's a big mismatch. No matter how much we believe Pacman will win, we are just being biased here.

Everything may change if Manny is able to cut Shakur's speed and movement, like cutting corners or keeping Shakur within his reach. I think Manny can be able to do that since he is good with his footwork. Although Shakur had the youth, Manny had the experience. Nothing is set in stone here, so I am not confident enough to say I know who will win. If it comes to the judges' decision, the result may come as a draw, just like what happened in Manny's last match. There are lots of variables here to determine who will win.

I'm thinking the same, this would be just a money-grab for Manny Pacquiao and whether we like it or not he will be just used as a medium so that fight fans from Asia would watch that Fury-Joshua fight. Just in, Eddie Hearns has floated the name of Joe Cordina as a possible opponent for Manny Pacquiao in the undercard of Fury-Joshua fight. They are just so desperate to include Manny on that card to add more excitement and why not, they have the money to do so. I hope Manny will bite the bait this time around.

If it comes to the judges' decision, the result may come as a draw, just like what happened in Manny's last match. There are lots of variables here to determine who will win. Unfortunately he can't. Shakur's just too slick for a post-prime Pacquiao. No offense to Manny because he will be my GOAT in boxing no matter what anybody says, but in this fight, we know that he's no match to a prime-Shakur. Shakur's too fast, too great at defense, and a great counter puncher as well. Shakur's not known for a great knockout artist, and that's where he shines a lot because I doubt that an old Manny could survive a 12-round fight with a fighter especially in its prime years. I agree that Manny had the experience, but let's not forget the one thing that affects the fighter. AGE, and we know how big of an impact age is especially in boxing. An old fighter will be affected in terms of endurance, stamina, and speed, and many more. If it's an old fighter Vs. old fighter then I might lean on Manny, but not on this one. Anyway, I just did a quick search online, and Dana White already shut it down saying that the matchup isn't even real in the first place. I'll forget that this ever happened in the first place. Manny's busy being a public servant already.

I have also seen Amir Khan and Danny Garcia mentioned. For the nostalgia factor, those names are more appealing than Cordina, although I think most people would prefer if Pacquiao remained retired. He looked decent against Barrios, though he is still greatly diminished. Like so many legendary fighters, he doesn’t know when to say goodbye. Netflix also seems to care more about name recognition than quality. I would much rather see a champion like Kabayel or a high level prospect in an intriguing showcase than these diminished old timers.

Maybe for Netflix is all about business and they have a canny taste for it or the big business when they put Jake Paul and the legendary Mike Tyson. And there was a lot of hype on this fight and saying that Tyson has a good chance despite his age. So that could be the cue for Netflix to look for legendary fighters for their exhibition match or even pro. I would tend to agree that our Manny Pacquiao is really out of his prime but perhaps that one last fight in him to proved that he can fight is still there.

Anyone seen this video of Poland's president doing boxing with Manny Pacquiao? I've read that he has some amateur background that's why see that he has some form in that jab and upper-cut. And when he visited the country, his one request is to be able to meet and perhaps spar with the legendary Manny Pacquiao. Manny might be caught off guard as he was wearing jeans. But still, he gave the President some sparring sessions.

Having one main thread for boxing makes sense tbh. it keeps the predictions and results in one place instead of having to search through a bunch of separate topics. would be nice to have people update the results after each fight too, so it's easier to look back at how everyone's picks turned out.

IMO i wouldn’t say that he was running, he had to choose between aiming to be undisputed lightheavyweight champion and fighting a 40 year old tuff guy for the third time and he chose the first, you can’t blame him for that unless you’re oblivious to how sanctioning authorities and belt politics actually work in boxing.
He already gave up the WBC belt when they were supposed to go to purse bids for a fight with David Benavidez. He fought an unknown German guy instead. Making a defense against Callum Smith is unnecessary. I believe there is already an agreement to fight Beterbiev next in Russia, so he isn’t necessarily ducking, but I feel he has been stalling to age him out a bit. The unknown German you’re referring to was Micheal Eifert and he too was a legit ordered challenger who was also an IBF mandatory for Bivol, so it’s not like he was just some random club fighter that Bivol handpicked. Callum Smith too is a WBO mandatory fight for bivol, so he really has no choice cos he would be stripped of that title if he declined to fight Smith, that’s not unnecessary IMO. It’s the same system that forced him to deal with Eifert that is still responsible for this situation with Callim smith too, so i don’t see how that is Bivol’s fault. He could have decided to vacate the WBO same way he did with the WBC if he was only interested in the trilogy with Beterbiev, but he didn’t. Clearly he has his priorities set at something else.
