It seems to me that the development of technology will lead to the fact that our world will resemble what is happening in the movie The Matrix, when it will be impossible to determine where you are - in the metaverse or the real world.

This is bogus decentralization. At the moment, all the Metauniverses that the developers are talking about and that are being made now are completely centralized projects - all infrastructure is owned and managed by the developers. Therefore, there will be no problem in getting someone to force complete the KYC or pay taxes or completely erase them from the Metaverse.

This is a controversial point in view of the fact that top monitors transmit a picture of best quality, and, for example, for me personally, a monitor is much more convenient than any VR equipment, simply because I can see well with only one eye, so VR for me means a deterioration in the picture and not an improvement.
