I think it's a false correlation. If you look at the "competition" of services that offer ever shorter and more and more moronic videos for the appropriate audience, then naturally you will see a reduction in the focus time. But judging by the Netflix statistics, the series are not becoming less popular (rather the opposite), the duration of feature films is constantly growing (now it is hard to find at least some serious film shorter than two hours). Here we see the opposite trend, right?
As for the fact that modern people very quickly change the focus of attention and move from one to another, a consequence of the fact that in the modern world information flows are fast and endless. These are necessary skills now, but they do not mean that a person cannot concentrate on one thing when he needs it.

I would not say its the young people who tend to steer the vehicle of progress... If anything its our own human desires. You say TikTok is short and stupid but it satisfies the human need for attention and social interaction. A lot of our technology, if not all our technology is just based on human desires and a better way to fulfill them. Gambling is one of the smaller pleasures in life but it still satisfies an urge. I think it can get them addicted because if you look at Tik Tok, many people are trying to copy the content or even modify it into something different and look new.

Being too curious is not always good. Have you heard of the saying "curiosity killed the cat"? That is what I am talking about. In the next level of gambling we will have to use v.r and it can be dangerous because you are covering your eyes, you can't see so you are prone to injuries. In my opinion, Tik Tok is one of the platforms that contributes to the degradation of users. I know some people who can no longer imagine their life without TikTok. Instead of filling their heads with useful information and developing, they keep leafing through the TikTok feed and consume a huge amount of completely useless information. This is a great example of how technology can create a negative impact on people.

Ofcourse it will make people more addicted. Social media sites are promoting stuffs that will increase smartphone usage.
Especially they are trying to add features to their own apps which will make people to use those particular apps for a longer time.
I am just worried that these apps doesn't add features like small games and connect it to their friends.

That is what they say that it was the tiktok's fault. Those people that can't live their lives without tiktok can be considered addicts already. There is no correlation between this platform to gambling because they have different concepts of making entertainment for the people, you may think that the content is completely useless but other people may entertain it well, and sometimes it can also be an alternative to gambling addiction.
