The important role of teachers in the society cannot be overemphasized. After the home, which is the first school for the child, the teachers are the next in line to help mold the child to become a better citizen.

 But in the place where I'm from, teachers are less respected compared to the doctors, engineers and the rest and as such, not much value is placed on them. It's comfortable to owe teachers their salaries and even the government turn a blind eye to some of their needs and as such these people tend to act unconcerned whether students are been imparted upon or not.
Before we honor the doctors and lawyers of this world, let's first give the teachers their due.

of course we all know how the teachers have been working tirelessly in giving out quality education on children who are the future leaders of tomorrow, but yet when we are to talk about their pay in wages, it's nothing to write about because they get so little in return to what they are giving out, but i want to believe that despite this challenge, not every country treat their teachers in such manners, they have a payment scale accredited by the government as minimum wage which they all follows especially in the advance and developed countries unlike the underdeveloped ones that does not have a standard for teachers salary.

This poor treatment of teachers is common in developing countries, if you check in countries where teachers are giving peanuts you will see that money is being spent by politicians excessively but nothing write home about when it comes to teachers.

Teachers have an huge impact on the growth and progress of society . After home that Is considered as your first school,your teachers are your makers . They can help you become a successful human being and they can help you selecting and opting correct field for your future.  I have seen many bright and intelligent students opting wrong fields for future and suffering because of that.  Enjoying and loving your job is extremely important for your success. We've all found ourselves in a world were one particular profession is prioritize than another because of the selfish interest of those involved, before it used to be that everyone want to be a teacher because of the way teachers were been treated, they enjoy almost thesame benefits, salaries and allowances as with doctors lawyers and other professional field regardless of being in developed area or not since it's by posting, sone teachers will also prefer the remote areas were they could have less expenses for a living, but not more future plan for teachers nowadays not to talk of giving them all the necessary and required incentives and allocations for teaching job, I've seen some instances whereby teachers uses their salaries to help facilitate teaching aids in schools, government aren't bothered about education anymore but got distracted by politics since money is involved.

I don't think like that teachers indoctrinate politically ,they give you right kind of knowledge and information regardless to anything. For example. Learning Greek and Roman mythology is good from the standpoint of simply going through it to see what those ancient nations believed. But to have tests on the names of those mythological gods, and what kinds of superpowers they had, is indoctrination, even though it's all headed up under the title Mythology.

There are all kinds of practical things to learn without directing the lives of people into a bunch of crap at the same time. And I am not really blaming the teachers. They unwittingly fell into the same trap from their teachers. But things should change to teaching and learning practical knowledge.

Simple history of the US is enough to direct children along the lines of true national patriotic living.

We need to be very careful on whom we employ as teacher and the kind of schools our children went to, some teacher never worth deserving to be called a teacher because of their low level of exposure, experience and the kind of personality they are, they will definitely affect the children with the negative influence, but the best qualifying teachers are those ready to teach both educational and moral character without compromising anything, just as some teachers need to be inspected during their role if duty and needed to be appreciated as well for good performance.

This is hard to answer. Do teachers earn enough all around the world ? Probably yes, compared to most ordinary people. Why do teachers complain about their salary and welfares ? I guess it's because most teachers want more things than they really need. To be honest, all teachers are entitled at least two long vacations between terms every year and they can use this time to take care of their family or find a part-time job to earn more. However, not many of them choose to do so simply because they do not want to. They demand more while they do less. Well, I don't think occupations naturally grant people noble things, like you can never say a man is a nice person just because he is a pliceman. Teachers nowadays are not all qualified to teach students well in terms of enlightening them to independently think and find their own way of being and living. You know what I mean. Can't explain too much.

I must agree that teachers have the right to get more especially for every teacher who serves and gives his life for the totality of education for the marginalized or people in the jungle. There are many stories of teachers who devoted their lives only to educate and provide knowledge.

We need to choose carefully the people who will become teachers. This job is not easy at all, and the teacher must have distinctive qualities that qualify him for this position. That is, scientific competence is not sufficient on its own. There are countries where newly recruited teachers are required to submit a medical report on their mental state. Unfortunately, in many countries, assignments are carried out randomly, not based on an objective assessment of the eligibility of the delegated person.

they are always struggling to make their both ends meet and then they keep finding other way to earn some extra money and they are never happy with their jobs.

And still, they are using their salary to make wonderful and colorful decorations for the room so the children will enjoy seeing them? Also, the base salary or starting salary for a teacher in a public school is $340, which is still too low, and again, they will work overtime to finish their lesson plans and get the things they need for classes. Though $340 is already enough salary in our country, the effort and expenses that they incur are not worth it with that salary.

I worked as a teacher too - and I taught from Preschool to university and I remember I was always struggling and then people used to make fun of me that I am a teacher and then I switched to the corportae sector and people wanted me to go back to the teaching again

Teachers are nation builder. Teachers are professional who are trained specifically to train pupils, students from kindergarten  to the terminal of education in any part of the world. Teachers are builders who psychologically and educationally trained to understand  the mental ability of every child to be what they can do best in pursuit of education.

Today's world of development call it engineering,  medical,  military,  religion  etc, are the brain work of a teacher. So looking at the human development holistically,  without Teachers the world would not get to where it is. It would be appropriate to say after God, the Teachers should be mark next for the ability to procreate and bring human to what they should be in the future.

In this sense it is up to say that teacher should be well rewarded if we need the best from them, no teacher no development as the case may be.

Definitely teachers should get higher salaries and work in good conditions. Teacher salaries in my country are very low. The education system is really bad compared to developed countries. The system needs to be rebuilt from scratch. There is also this, teachers should also take the exam and improve themselves every once in a while. There are some teachers who, once they get the job, work the same way for years. They should be open to innovation so that they can provide education to young people in the most accurate way, being aware of the responsibility they take.
If a country's education system is not good, it's not possible for that country to develop. Unfortunately, some governments don't put enough emphasis on this. When you look at the countries that have already solved the education problem, you realize that they are the most developed ones.
