Where did you get the idea that some ethnic religious groups lived in Yugoslavia? Yugoslavia consisted of republics completely different from each other that are independent today, each with its own language, tradition and level of development.
What has very great similarities between Yugoslavia and Russia is the way in which first the Serbs, and then the Russians (brothers by blood, faith, and desire to kill innocents) had the idea on which they began their bloody campaigns. Serbs wanted a greater Serbia and claimed they were going to fight against Nazism and fascism in Croatia, later in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Russians are doing the same today in Ukraine.
The methods they use are identical, because all that remains after them is scorched earth, destroyed cities and villages, and tens of thousands of killed civilians. However, the Serbs lost the war when the Croats strengthened their military to the point that they realized they could no longer do anything to them.
A scenario in which Ukraine strengthens militarily so much that it will be able to liberate its occupied territories is very likely, especially if we see how motivated they are about it. All these brainwashed Russians who write nonsense here about Ukraine attacking Russia and the like might get a chance to defend their country on the battlefield, unless they're cowards hiding behind their keyboards.
Yes let's totally not mention NATO, supposedly a "defensive" alliance, that decided to bomb the hell out of Kosovo. That's not relevant at all and should totally be erased from history
And here we have the root cause of the problem. Ukrainians lived just fine prior to 2013, but then came the cookies. Now Ukrainians find themselves in the 5th year of busification, US totally stopped providing funds, and while conditions deteriorate and Ukraine needs more and more funds each year, it will receive less and less with every year. There are global elements that want Russia to collapse, i get that, but for some unknown to me reasons Ukrainian government volunteered it's own population for that task!?!? Now in the 5th year while Ukrainians don't even have enough resources or forces to hold the line you keep talking about Ukraine liberating its occupied territories? If it's some kind of a joke, i don't think any Ukrainian will find it funny.

WTF why is Ukraine's Defense Minister is falling out of line and now suddenly wants to preserve Ukrainian lives?? Doesn't he know or didn't you tell him, how they're about to start liberating their occupied territories any minute now?
Do you think he's finally realizing his role in all of this? Perhaps there weren't enough moral boosters, and he'll totally forget about this crazy idea if you just claim that Ukraine is about to take Moscow any day now?
Looks like the "west" is running out of Ukrainian souls to do their dirty bidding against Russia. What other governments do you think would be as willing as Ukrainian government to sacrifice their own people for the cookies and send their people as assault infantry against Russia?? Brits? butcher Syrskyi would respond to this crazy talk about saving Ukrainian soldiers' lives and using some other foreign soldiers for assault infantry against Russia. Ukrainians waking up and not wanting to play their sacrificial role, such nonsense should be stopped right away! The west can't allow Ukrainians to think like this, Ukrainians should only be allowed to think about how they will conquer Moscow, any minute now!
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's surprise move to replace popular Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has caused an outburst of anger from civil society and protests from MPs.

On Thursday, Fedorov revealed he had suggested to Zelensky that Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov should be replaced.
Zelensky, speaking at a press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, acknowledged that the conflict between the General Staff and the defence ministry had been "systemic" and occurred "at various levels", and that Syrskyi and Fedorov would only work together with his mediation.
"When the president said he did not plan to replace Syrskyi, I... said I would learn to work with him," Fedorov said at his own press conference. But "all the initiatives we proposed were blocked," he added.
