We don't see much of what Putin says regarding stopping the war. This is because he says basically one thing. What he says is, Ukraine back off and stop fighting, and we will stop, too.

Zelensky says, Ukraine wants peace, and it's Putin who is keeping the war going. Then Z goes out and attacks Russia every way he can. If Z really wanted peace, why doesn't he try stopping for a while? It's because he is a liar, and a con-man, and an actor. He doesn't want peace at all.

Looking at the trajectory of the happening since the beginning of the war both parties are yet to understand that war is not just a rocket science where one will work through without losses, if losses are counted both are lossing squarely , I wonder at what point will Putin be satisfied to end the war I recall in the past the Ukraine president made a statement of being ready to negotiate if they create or give such green light, everyone seek for peace nut not showing readiness for that very peace , Ukraine will not accept Russia have dominance in their territory and losses most of their land including the infrastructure damaged and numbers of life lost that is reason why the peace is difficult to initiate even Putin never imagined the level of resources wasted as his plan for the war never expect long time war as it's till dates, it take a party to surrender and who will does that no matter the pressure at this point that is question for another episode, peace is the path way for better living.
