You have one problem in your opinion. You are telling "if you win". When you donate without "if" - you can guarantee your donate. If you gamble - you can possible donate more. You're right. Why risk the money in gambling if you can directly donate to charity (for people who are really willing to help). There's no need to gamble to double your money before donating because chances to lose it is high. Plus for donation, any amount will do its a big help already.
