Even though many players from France have suffered injuries, they still have many star players on all fronts, say Mbappe, Griezzmann, Giroud, Dembele, Rabiot and Pavard. So this result of conceding first is not an excuse for France, they have to work a lot more. Update the score while it was a 1-1 draw, a goal scored by Rabiot in the 26th minute.

I was really surprised to see Argentina play the way they did today. Saudi Arabia is not a known for football and seeing them win Argentina is unbelievable.
Argentina are my favorite to win this tournament but today I don’t know if I should have a rethink, they where not clinical and although I give props to the Saudi Arabian goal keeper he really deserved the man of the match award he got from today.

A great match, we are enjoying the match between Australia and France. Both the teams are playing great, they are putting great pressure on each other. So far, both teams have managed to score one goal Hope we all enjoy the game.

It was a really interesting day for Argentina. This was normally like the easiest match in the group for them. However their performance was much worse than I expected. I mean they had big difficulties in defense especially. Both of Saudi Arabia's goals were impressive at the same time. By the way, I couldn't even count how many times Argentina players were caught offside.    Many goals were disallowed just because of that. Martinez's first offside was a really slight one as well.

Not being able to find the second goal brought Argentina's end in the second half. After those shocking goals they tried to make a comeback but it didn't help. Saudi Arabia's goalkeeper was really amazing today by important saves.

2 goals were immediately replied by Saudi Arabia in approximately 5 minutes. The spirit of the Saudi Arabian players immediately increased after the first goal scored by Al-Shehri.

What game did Saudi Arabia show? This is an incredible game.  Never expected that in today's game.  It is a shame for Argentina that they are going to lose to Saudi Arabia. Those who supported Saudi Arabia and bet on them are going to be rich today

If I could have bet some of my money on this match, I would be rich today.  But due to bad forehead I didn't bet on this match.  But it has to be accepted that those who bet in support of Saudi Arabia today are the owners of a lot of money today. I never imagined that Saudi Arabia can win this match. At the end of the game, Saudi Arabia won.

This is really very crazy, 1.02 odds against 100, This is crazy, to be sincere, alot of money was lost today, and if you had betted, maybe you would have lost your money too, because no body was expecting Saudi Arabia to win this match, from the odds, we can see that alot money went to Argentina.
The only people that would have betted for the Saudi Arabians are the Saudi Arabian supporters themselves, any sane gambler out there would never have thought that Argentina would loose this match.

Due to the hard work of Saudi Arabia team players, they won 1-2 against Argentina. The players of the Argentina team were to attack Saudi Arabia again and again. Saudi arabia deserves it. The defenders of argentina was not doing so good at that match. That's why argentina must lose against saudi arabia. That's good for saudi to take full points from a nation with so many great players like messi.
I would like to call that if saudi arabia can be considered as a strong team. Argentina loses against saudi arabia which has been making so many fans surprised with the result from that match. Saudi arabia was loosing everything like ball possession but it can used any change perfectly and then two goals were enough to make saudi arabia to win the game against argentina. That's very good to see that if saudi arabia can also perform so well during the match even so many pressures have come from argentina

Almost everyone was surprised by Argentina defeat I don't know if this is just luck or indeed Saudi has a strong quad
To prove it we have to see their next match against Poland and Mexico. I can't imagine Argentina going out in the early stages
Because Poland and Mexico are not easy opponents based on statistics these two countries are stronger than Saudi Arabia.

This match is the group phase stage so you don't need to worry too much about the defeat, of course Argentina will be able to perform better in the upcoming matches. argentina played quite impressive earlier it's just that they were unlucky in the inaugural match of this world cup. I think Lionel Messi will be able to bring Argentina through to the last 16 because in the group phase there are still many matches to be faced by Argentina. Indeed, this defeat broke Argentina winning trend, but that is not a strong benchmark if Argentina is very weak in this world cup. I'm sure Lionel Scaloni will be able to bring Argentina to victory in the next match against Mexico.

Argentina must be disappointed in their players after losing to Saudi Arabia in their group opener. Most fans supported Argentina because of Messi, but he was unable to deliver, so Argentina will need to put forth more effort to defeat Mexico. I had expected Messi to score more goals not just penalty and nothing else or, at worst, for the game to be a draw, but sadly, they were defeated how exciting the World Cup has become.

damn, Argentina was a real surprise. I was actually expecting to see it doing a goal showdown. On nthe other hand, Saudi Arabia may well be the diamond squad of the cup as they performed really well in front of the south american squad.

From what I've seen from their first appearance, if Argentina keeps up with this flawed tactic, it will probably not reach the following phase.

Argentina just wasted a golden opportunity to grab three points. They controlled the game and created many chances but they could not get legal goals because most of their goal attempts were ruled offside. Saudi Arabian defense did their best and their attackers greatly utilized the few chances they created. I am sure the second Saudi goal by Salam Aldawsari would compete for the goal of the tournament. Argentina is now in a very tight situation and if they are not careful, they might go home in this group stage.  

Now France are playing a draw with Australia for now. But I think France have a chance of success in this match.

The French team reacted to the Australian goal by applying much pressure on their defense. Their pressure paid off with those two quick goals within five minutes. I am sure the French side would comfortably win this match if they continue in this manner.

yes you are right. the many saves made by the keeper of saudi arabia really deserve appreciation. although I support Argentina and of course disappointed with the result of the game. but I really appreciate the hard work of the Saudi Arabian team in the match. and I was impressed by the offside traps made by Saudi Arabia. and Argentina continues to be stuck in the Offside strategy from Saudi Arabia. even though it's a little annoying but it's an extraordinary strategy. even Argentina caught 10 offside in the game.

The Argentinian players could not learn from some mistakes, especially with the offside trap that Saudi Arabia continued to do.
They had 3 goals disallowed as they were always caught in the excellent traps of saudi arabia which made this even more difficult.
Indeed, this match seems to be a shock that is quite difficult to accept but it can be used as a good lesson, especially for Argentina when receiving quick counterattacks.

And one of the causes of Argentina's defeat was because Argentina underestimated Saudi Arabia a little. and the Saudi Arabia defense line I think is really disciplined in making offside traps because Saudi Arabia is used to carrying out this strategy. and in the second half we can see that Argentina's mentality has become a little weaker. because of course Argentina was a little surprised by the goals that Saudi Arabia managed to get. and I also see the luck factor that Saudi Arabia hangs on. because even in the second half, Argentina almost broke into the Saudi Arabia goal several times but was always saved by the goalkeeper and by the defender of saudi arabia and i think this match has been the most surprising match in the world cup this time. although other surprises of course still can happen.

I'd rather say they were more careful not to get caught when watching Argentina's game because this offside trap really bothered them the whole match.
On the other hand, the marking of the Arab players is also very good and indeed this is one of the difficult things for Argentina to win.
They have a lot of advantages in ball possession and opportunities but still Saudi Arabia's discipline is really good.

Also, I know it's just the first matchday for Argentina, but I think this defeat is enough of a hint that Messi is not as guaranteed for the World Cup title as many people expected before the World Cup even started. They think this is the last moment for Messi before retiring to give the World Cup title to Argentina, but I'm not sure because to achieve this achievement will not be easy.
Now it's proven, even though Argentina has many star players but that still doesn't guarantee they will get the luck as expected.

Even so, I also still believe that Argentina still has a chance to qualify, but to win the title I personally am not completely sure.
Because in my opinion, even though Argentina has many star players, their gameplay is not very good, so yes, they are still not strong enough to become a national team that can win the World Cup even though Messi is really expected at this moment.

I expected Denmark to win. They had good players in their team. However, the opponent, Tunisia, showed a great game. However, Denmark failed to create good chances. Hopefully Denmark will take the mistakes from this match, work on it and do better in the next match.

Tunisia likewise should have scored too, they will take the lessons from this game, and hopefully they will do better in their next game too. From the way the game went, I knew that it was going to be a difficult game for both teams. The Tunisians started confidently and were able to maintain their high spirit all through. Mexico and Poland game is still without a goal, If it ends like this, the Argentines will be happy to an extent.

They defended well absorbed all those pressure from Denmark ready to hit Denmark with counter attack's but they were unlucky with scoring goals which was ruled offside. For me Denmark were the better side today but in the final third they really got unlucky with scoring too. Tunisia actually had a good defending strategy and form before this game, the plan they had worked buy they couldn't score at least.
Denmark will have to win the next match if they hope to continue.

The whole world is surprised today to watch the match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia. Maybe many people still can't believe Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia. But it is true that Saudi Arabia won by showing great skill to Argentina. But I hope that Argentina will come back in the next matches.

It's just some wholesome surprise. Before hand although, I don't think this one game they lost redefines much of there quality, they still remains the fierced Argentina and capable of some real damage but, it was surprising to see the Saudi side win that game. The most Argentina could do is earn and score a penalty while, the Saudi side destroyed them on the pitch. Creating great goal opportunities and utilising it, neutralising the Argentina attacks before they are fully executed.

Messi had several free kicks, at least 4 free kicks and in good positions but couldn't convert any. It an important win for the Saudi side for sure haven't earned 3 points from a strong team in there tier. They could face other teams with little fear now.
