The Saudis had a good skill level, both goals show that, but most importantly I would say that the Saudi coach won the match. The defense offside trap was just brutal against Argentina. It could have easily ended 4 - 0 for Argentina if the Saudi coach was playing in a more standard way.

It was pure stupidity from Argentines. They have some of the most experienced players in the world, and still they fell in to this offside trap. It could have easily backfired on the Saudis, but their opponents were unable to make use of it. If I am not wrong, the odds for the Saudis were something in the vicinity of 21.00-22.00. Those who made a bet on them got a fortune yesterday. I didn't placed a bet, but would have never gone with a Saudi win. At the most, I would have placed a bet for draw. A win for Saudi looked just impossible.

Eriksen had a good performance but he was not able to bring Denmark to a win. Anyway it is a very good return of Eriksen after his serious medical problem in Euro 2020. At that moment, I did not imagine that Eriksen will be able to come back to football at highest level. Eventually he returned to Premier League and played well in Manchester United. Now, he played good in World Cup and is one of most important players of Denmark.

Poland and Mexico is a very balanced match but Mexico has more chances to score goals in the match in general and in the first half in particular. it was clear that Argentina's forward line had problems, bad enough when they failed to score a goal in normal play against a side so far below their quality.
Saudi Arabia played freely without any burden and they took advantage of the careless lines of the Argentine defense.

This would had been a risky bet as Argentina almost won that game if not for the newly introduced offside calls that saw two goals get cancelled. Argentina is a football power house and was meant to win that game but the Saudis got lucky today. The Saudis had their fans behind them and that helped them alot because they were least favorite in that match. Argentina still has a chance of qualifying from the group stages.
