I am quite amazed when looked Japan back to lose from the 1st half, I know it seems like mission impossible to win or draw after Gundogan creates a goal on a penalty kick. I agree with your opinion and would like to add a little. Yesterday, I think Canada fell victim to the referees as well. The first penalty given was a net penalty, but if it didn't exist, that penalty wouldn't have been given. Again towards the end of the first half, Axel Vitsel dropped a Canadian football player, but did not give a penalty despite the variance. I think it was a clear penalty in that position. Canada played like a team, but it's hard to say the same for Belgium. I think Canada will come out of this group.

Canada played really good football yesterday in fact they don't deserve to lose they deserve at least one point for consolation. The points needed to be shared between the two teams, the major problem of the Canadian team is a good finisher, only Davis was given some attack to the defence of Belgian but the early minutes penalty kick missed by him demoralized him to an extent.

It damm obvious that Belgium are not contenders this time around and I don't know how Kelvin De Brune won man of the match. Even himself was surprised.

Canada played well but they were bad in finishing their attacks. They had 11 shots on the Belgium's goal that went wide and only 3 shots were on target. You can't win against Belgium with that kind of attack. I may agree that they deserved a draw, but they should be more precise in the finish. Even the penalty kick that was awarded to them was bad and Curtois had no problem saving it.

Argentina defeats to Saudi Arabia and Germany defeats to Japan shocked anyone who understands football. Argentina and Germany both took the lead in the first half through goals from a penalty, however they were hit by a comeback from the underdog in the second half.

Indeed Canada really played well, the are very organized team and if they had quality in the front they would have scored a goal,the match shows that Belgium is not so a very good team and the world class generation of world class players are fading away, suprise to see Jan vantoughen and Alderwierd are still playing at the back, Batshayi is too average despite him scoring, hazard is a shadow of himself, for me the stand out players are Kevin debruyne and courtous the goal keeper and the rising star that plays for Brighton Trosard.
