The Spanish keeper really stayed professional making the right decisions to stop Musiala's and Sane's very good chances in the end of the game. The previous two matches were also very surprising, Japan lost to Costa Rica while Belgium lost to Morocco. Germany and Spain made it a very nice match. On that basis, they both deserved a draw. Spain took a 1-0 lead, but Germany saw a goal disallowed for offside at the end of the game. There were chances back and forth, it was a very open game. Germany really gathered themselves up in the second half and put up a much better fight against Spain. I appreciated that effort honestly. Maybe Musiala wasted an absolute goal opportunity but he still did a good job by making an assist to the life saving goal scored by Fullkrug. Spain were close to getting ahead once more also. If Japan draw with Germany then Germany will need to defeat Costa Rica by at least a two-goal difference. In fact they can do this easily if they play properly. I'd like to remind of the Spain - Costa Rica game which ended 7-0.    Costa Rica are struggling against big teams that have a solid game plan.

Croatia and Morocco can only qualify for the next round if they draw their next match. Morocco's opponent Canada is not very strong. Morocco will win or draw this match. If Morocco is not unlucky they will be in the top two of the table on points. On the other hand, although Belgium's squad is strong, their performance is not satisfactory. It is challenging for them to win against Croatia in the next match. Here's a look at Croatia's performance in today's match. They played very well. Won 4-1 against Canada. And so I think that even if Belgium is a strong opponent in the next match, Croatia's players will be able to perform well.

This time more teams that are expected to be on the top order is suffering and are at the bottom. This is happening out of the tremendous performance from the small teams. It's a shame, though I expected them to lose again in this match and my hopes were even greater when Spain took the lead for a while thanks to morata but it's a shame that Germany scored a goal back a few minutes later.
But seeing conditions like this, it's actually still possible for them to win for the ticket for position 2 at least.

There were several impressions in my mind during the first match as if they underestimated Japan in the match they did which actually backfired on them. when this happened again in the game against costa rica then i'm not too sure if they can win or not.
Currently the conditions are getting more difficult so they have to lower their ego a little because the quality of the players does not guarantee they will win easily if they underestimate the opponent they are facing.

That really was a pretty good game to watch today. In the beginning i thought that Spain would totally destroy Germany today because in the first 15 minutes of the game Spain was extremely dominant and had the ball almost all the time. After that period though Germany found it's way into the game and then the game was even until the half time break. In the second half Germany started stronger in my opinion and this time they were in control of the game but then Spain scored the first goal pretty much out of nowhere. In the following minutes the 2-0 was closer then the 1-1 but then Germany managed to get back again and after the 1-1 they even had a chance to make it 2-1 for them so i would say the draw was a fair result in the end.

The most important thing for Germany is not to make mistakes against Costa Rica later.

It is a must if they want to have a chance to qualify for the next round. If they can beat Costa Rica dan Japan is defeated by Spain, Germany will be in 2nd place by getting 4 points. I am not sure if they underestimated Japan, I assume Germany lose focus in the first match. In the world cup tournament, the first match often gives surprising results because some teams may feel nervous or lose focus because of many factors. In this world cup tournament, not only Germany, even Argentina was also defeated in the first match. But they can get a positive result in the second match. Sadly, Germany can't do it since they must play against a strong team like Spain.
