I was really not impressed with Uruguay today. This team has the most efficient strike force in the World Cup. With Darwin Nunez, Luis Suarez, Cavani and also a strong midfield and defense.
They came against a South Korean team which doesn’t have much individual team force but they have team spirit.

I think this can be considered an upset and the group is wide open. In the next game Ronaldo came through for his Portuguese team today but my man of the match in that match was Bruno Fernandez.

The game has already over, and Ghana has lost. They were defeated 3:2 by Portugal, a stronger team than them. We wouldn't say Ghana didn't give it their all in this game, but Portugal dominated in terms of possessions and shots on goal. They were the first African team to score a goal in this World Cup, but it wasn't enough to give them the victory. There is still hope for them, hope they play better in their next match to secure a win.

Portugal had a decent game, Bruno Fernandez was the stand out player. My only query to the Coach is why is Leao not starting and Danilo ahead of Pepe.

Ghana should have there head held high they did great at the end of the match had not been for inaki Williams slip what could have been.
Ghana only failed to come in the first half and tackled too much they should hold possession more. But a great game in the end.

The referee had a questionable calls in the match much importantly the cancelled Ronaldo goal, that wasn't a foul.

Lol, Ghana played badly after getting a goal from Andre Ayew or is it possible, because Andre Ayew was replaced it made Ghana's performance decrease. Because I saw that Ghana could play well during those minutes but unfortunately, it looks like the Ghana coach made a mistake by taking Andre Ayew off because after Andre Ayew was substituted then Portugal could quickly score two goals.
I think after Ronaldo's goal from the penalty spot, it was like the only goal that was created in this match, but what happened actually made the match even more interesting after Andre Ayew's goal back.

Winning at the beginning is indeed very important in the group stage with a system like this, because for the following matches the team that has led the standings can at least be safer.
Because national team matches are usually not too ambitious to have many goals, considering the players' fitness if they are required to continue playing harder throughout 90 minutes. Beside Andre Ayew the Ghana coach mistake was the substitution of Mohammed Kudus, that guy is playing really well in this match, he can break through the Portugal defense. The last match today is closed with Brazil Vs Serbia, I guess Brazil will win easily.

To be honest, Ghana tried. Big team, but unlucky. They did great in the match. The substitution of Andre Ayew and Kudos were a big tactical mistake made by the Ghana Coach. Despite the loss, Ghana gave a good account of themselves. I am so much impressed. Kudos to the boys. If the play the way they played in the second half with Portugal, I am certain they will beat the remaining two teams and qualify from the group.

A game full of thrill and excitement ended between Portugal and Ghana and score is 3:2 . Although Portugal won this game but what a performance by Ghana and what a fight that was. They didn't give up till the end and tried to score a goal but unfortunately couldn't do it.

This is an interesting match that I saw during this world cup event, because from the start no one really played with as many things as happened in this match.
They really played very well because neither team wanted to give in and the tension was also very high in this match.

That's the issue with Ghana right now. They came on the match with a mind set of getting a draw if they could manage it. There formation speaks loudly of it and so does there lack of courage. They aren't taking much of there chances of counter attack. I might just applaud Mohammed Kudus and Alidu Seidu to have trued to push forward in an attempt to attack.
They had a chance in a 4-5 Ghanaian players to a 3 Portuguese defenders from a lost ball by Joao Cancelo but still, they just ran up front and relented on an attack.
Them haven't conceived a penalty with Ronaldo haven't scored the goal, they came out a lot more to seek out an equaliser. They shouldn't have be holing back.

In terms of quality, in my opinion, the mentality of Ghana is inferior to the Portuguese players who incidentally are the top players in the top European leagues. But the two goals they managed to score against Portugal are proof that this assumption is completely inappropriate for Ghana in this match. Ghana did lose, but it was a better loss than what Costa Rica suffered last night.

But then Ghana's struggle will likely end if they lose one of the matches against Uruguay or South Korea. I believe South Korea can qualify for the last 16 more than Ghana or Uruguay, but it's really difficult to predict.

Ronaldo's performance at Manchester United was very poor. He could not play well in the league and could not score goals. But Ronaldo's performance in today's match proved that he is not old yet. He is still capable of performing better than any youngster. Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Felix's performances in today's match were excellent. Also the overall gameplay of both teams was very enjoyable. Although Ghana did not play well in the first half, they played well in the second half.

Perhaps you ought to be impressed with the Korean side then. Having a squad not measurable to Uruguayan squad and still managed to share points with Uruguay. Not much was done in the game but, Uruguay did manage it to land 2 balls on the cross bar. One came from Diego Godin just before the first half with a header while in the second half, Federico Valverde tried it with an out of the box shot. They both did the best but, both couldn't get a goal.

Portugal 3:2 Ghana was a terrific match. I think the abilities of the Ghanaian team was hindered by the fear of the Portuguese team. A fear that was set loose once the CR7 penalty and goal came up. 0:0 in the first first and over 5 goals in the second!

Ronaldo had good opportunities of scoring but he only scored the first goal in the match  with a penalty kick after he was brought down by Salisu inside the box. This goal made history for him today as he is the oldest Europe player that has scored in the world and the second oldest player that scored in the world cup game apart from Roger Milla from  Cameron in 1994 who was 40 years.

Ronaldo is a history maker i.e the more matches he plays the more past records he broke. Portugal scored two goals in two minutes,this gave them their victory over the black stars who score their second goal at the 89th minutes. The match ended 3-2 against Ghana. I hope Portugal can go beyond round 16 this year.

Even if Serbia is not a weak squad to be underestimated in the World Cup, I predict Brazil will dominate the game. So far, the score is level, with Brazil controlling the ball and having more possessions than their opponent. Brazil should score before the end of the first half since their offense looks strong and in form compared to that of Serbia.

This seems to be the tournament with the most 0-0 matches. More than 4 years ago now, when there was only 1 draw. What would be the cause of that? It is not the case that we have all seen teams that differed greatly in strength from each other. Favorites also failed to win, and Belgium also only managed to win 1-0 yesterday.
