Trabzonspor lost 2-1 away to Konyaspor. I don't remember the last match Trabzonspor won. Despite being title last season, Trabzonspor is in really bad stituon this season. Kerem was also very ineffective. Galatasaray relied on random crossing from wings. Most of them were terrible. Beşiktaş used pressure to kill Galatasaray's passing ability. In general it worked. Today in the derby match I think Gedson Fernandes was really impressive with a good level of effort. When Icardi scored the first goal I thought for once like Galatasaray would have a good game here. In the first half, the Torreira-Olivera duo squeezed Beşiktaş a lot. That's why Galatasaray got the goal. But Beşiktaş midfielders reacted very well in the 2nd half. While Galatasaray substituted 4 players, Beşiktaş still had not intervene in the game at some point. Then Tayfur and Necip entered. It is questionable how much they could be effective but at the end it turned out to be ok. In Galatasaray's side, it can be argued about the mistakes but there is more clear truth: Beşiktaş literally just played better and deserved a clear win. I'm really annoyed with Galatasaray's performance yesterday. Icardi's goal was a big hope for me that I thought we would even be able to win against Besiktas. But things started to went wrong for us after that. There were serious defensive problems which was the main reason of our losing this important game. We just handed over three points to them due to individual mistakes.

We are still 3 points ahead of Fenerbahce in the standings though. Besides as far as I can see we have 5 games left while Fenerbahce have 4 now. We have a 3-0 head-to-head advantage over Fenerbahce at the same time. Taking all of these into account, I believe that we can still become the champions. I just hope that we don't make many simple mistakes in defense in the remaining games.

Fenerbahce defeated Sivasspor 1-3 away. In my opinion, Sivasspor-Fenerbahçe match was one of the most important matches of Fenerbahçe this season. Mertens and Icardi were left alone in too far away in building up phases. Galatasaray was having hard time doing runs around. So their game looked very "zombie-like". Normaly Galatasaray could be able to unlock that strategy by players doing sprints to different wings. That could make Beşiktaş center dizzy. But it would take too much energy. Şenol Güneş did good by ordering his players to do harsh fouls. Those made game colder so Galatasaray could never heat the game.
