Well, shit. Szoboszlai confirmed on penalties, this means that everybody and their mothers will have him in their teams soon and there's no way for me to get there until GW3.
This also means that I dodged the bullet with Isak - I kinda expected he'd be taking penalties, although Szoboszlai is one of the best dead ball guys in the world.

This penalty cost me in the standings but it's still incredibly early - and using the BB chip will make future team changes a bit easier.

Thankfully, not many user picked Szoboszlai in my other leagues, so I'm 1st there. It's only this league where I'm 2nd, lol.

It happens, i wouldn't worry too much about the goalkeeper right now. Neither would i take off Haaland or Bruno Fernandez from my team, these are proven players that can obviously make an impact in the next coming weeks. Don't fall for the trap of taking out certain players and then boom, they start bringing in the points left, right and center.

The idea to have boycott Manchester City asset is beginning to have looked like the best decision anyone could have taken. Not wanting to loose points on Haaland f*cked us real good. Could have done Arsenal with Odegaard.

Anyway, not a bad start for the season.

You're only a few points from the top spot with all your chips intact so yeah you have a better advantage now - they all had a terrible BB week ( anything below 80 is a horrible BB) some even had around 50pts; that's what we get on average without any chips. Snap the current table and come back to it after GW5 - this is the Prophet talking....

You are not the only one that Haaland and Bruno Fernandez did dirty in GW1, I have them of my team. After their performance I guess it be very difficult for anyone to leave those guys out of your team of the week. But unfortunately things didn’t go as expected. I’m still going to keep faith in them for the next GW, once they pick their spark, I’m sure they will be delivering on weekly basis just like last season.

62 points happy how things started when also looking the results of games. Tzolis + Vuskovic was a small win. Still Chelsea game is on to play today but not much will change. BB chip didn't go as planned but all in all a good GW.

Vuskovic was a good pick. I was not sure how many minutes he would get on the opening game and that was the only reason i hesitated. Other then that happy with my team. I debated around Wirtz and Szobo and made a good choice there.

What a super strange start of the season in Premier League and more in Fantasy, no one of the well know players and most picked played good in this first round plus the move of using the bench boost in this first round seems to be a correct one for most of the people who used it.

Aside of that im having a  bad start but i can recover in a good way if in this remaining game between Chelsea and Fulham the Chelsea players i have play good and add a ton of points to my team, lets see if that can happen.

But I am still learning and just found out that the bench boost works for a whole gameweek and not for a single matchday, which means if there are two matches in a week, it counts for both, is that correct? Now I used it and it's ok, but there is so much more to know about this competition.

Ben White could become one of the most valuable players this season whereas I am not so sure where Fernandes might end up. What a horror this was for Manchester United to get into the season. Owning defenders from Arsenal, and that was my bet, could bring lots of points because they may feature the best defense of the season again.

You are very correct, I just checked and there was a bench boost. If bench was boosted and still 85 points were not seen, it wasn't a good week. We go again - the choice of keeping either Isak or Haaland is becoming difficult because no one delivered.

Funny enough, when the name "Isak" is mentioned, what comes to my mind is Newcastle, I have embraced the reality that Isak is a liverpool player who is supposed to be leading the attack in the absence of Salah.

I personally don't use any additional apps but I know many serious fantasy managers rely on tools like fantasy football hub. It’s a data aggregator that uses AI features to rate your team, suggest transfers and plan your lineup several gameweeks in advance, but it's not free.

As for the bench boost, you're correct, It lasts for the entire gameweek, so if a team plays twice, both fixtures count. It's usually best saved for a double gameweek. However since FPL now gives us two bench boosts, one for each half of the season, it's very unlikely we'll see a major double gameweek in the first half anyway. Using it early is completely fine. You'll definitely want to save your second bench boost for late in the season, when postponed matches create big double gameweeks. By the way the same logic applies to the triple captain chip as well!

Did away with all my Chelsea assets before the kick off and even with the fact that I was really skeptical on Manchester City assets, I got them anyway and they shit me good too. Should have being Chelsea all the way, at least I had both Rogers and Pedro in the lineup. Haaland and Semenyo are such sell outs under Maresca.

His yet to show good performance in Liverpool that’s why he’s name doesn’t stick yet. I suppose he would rectify that this season.
