I'm happy with keeping Fernandes in my team a lot. Captaining him has helped me significantly in this round so far. He could really be one of the best active footballers right now.

Maybe I should have sold Haaland though. I think I have made a mistake by deciding to keep him for longer. I have been just hesitant with selling the best striker in the league but his form is really bad recently.

I was genuinely shocked by this response of yours. The last update I saw on that match was Liverpool leading with 1 goal. At that point, I lost every single hope to see Chelsea in the UCL (unless for Aston Villa, who became the next easy target). Only for me to check and I'm seeing 1-1?? What sort of game plan was it? Fernandes was supposed to have been my captain, if only the change was made. I feel the only chance I will have to accumulate some points next week would be to use the wildcard chip. I look at some of the team selections and am amazed at how many managers (including yourself) are usually getting consistently high points.

Many are getting a lot of points without even having Haaland in their team, he is no longer as prolific as he was during the early part of the season.

At least with Rice, you're certain of DEFON returns on average but Salah? There's nothing to expect and Liverpool isn't a high scoring team. Since I moved on from Salah, I never for once thought of bringing him back.

For those going for Wirzt, who is the most useless of all, why not go for Wilson or Stach instead.

I have 3FTs and two positions to find a temporary fix for this GW.

61 this round is great, and if Thiago has a game with a goal or more, I’ll exceed 70 points three weeks in a row. Little by little, I’m paving my road back to the top 10. But now that I’ve played well for a few weeks, I’m also a little scared of falling back to my old position.
Those three weeks around New Year are still haunting me, when I didn’t play Fantasy because of my vacation in Budapest.

Fantasy is all about spinning things so they don't look so bad. In this case you should think about it in the way, great I have very good bench and I can use those players in the future, maybe I will even get some price rises 

Or in my case, instead of bitching about Salah and Joao Pedro not doing anything, better to focus on the fact that Haaland and Rice didn't do anything as well and my new guys at least play in gw31.

I’ve been curious about this for a while, but it seemed too minor to bring up here before. What’s the purpose of choosing a vice-captain? It doesn’t seem to provide any additional points. I understand that picking a captain gives an advantage through double points, but the vice-captain doesn’t appear to affect anything at all. Unless I’ve been missing something and someone can clear it up for me while Fantasy Premier League is still ongoing

If your captain doesn't play the vice gets the captain band and the double points. Like a fail-safe

Ohhh what a shit round for me, no because it was horrible since im just below average in this round but i was truly expecting much more from my team, Igor as a captain "work" but not in the way i was expecting, my whole forwards were a disaster, Ekitike 1 point since Slot left him in the bench, and Joao Pedro this time with a blank didnt help also.

I will probably finalise my team this evening (in advance of the deadline) because I have probably had far too many weeks where I wanted to make changes to my team but never did it. I do not want to miss any more deadlines and maybe the best way to counter it would be to make changes as soon as possible.

The problem about timing is really frustrating. It is not difficult to dedicate necessary time to manage your team, the problem is remembering when the deadlines are.

Dango is for short term - Don't sleep on Wilson; he's one of the best midfield asset after Bruno this season, he's about bro hit double digits in goals and assists in the league and 143 FPL points. Got him around GW19 I guess..

He hasn't been himself since the knock, but I still have faith in him and I'm sticking.

Halaand Captaincy is clearly not working and we all know it, but we're scared to take risks

For me, gameweek 30 was pretty decent, but I still struggle with choosing a captain. It feels like I always pick the wrong player, not the one with the highest potential for points and definitely not the one who ends up scoring the most in my team. For example, this round I made Garner my captain and Fernandes my vice captain. Garner only got 4 points, which gave me 8 in total, while Fernandes scored 10, which could have been 20 for me. For next week, I’ve made Fernandes my captain, but I’m not sure he’ll perform just as well.

Schade is a better deferential pick if you have the money - when I got Dango, I believed he would be the Brentford differential pick, but I had no idea that my rivals in the top five were also vying for him.
