I'm happy I used my BB. It really has been a problem for me to utilise it, and I've actually got more points this GW1 than I did in 2 seasons of BB (if my unreliable recollection serves me well).

Trofo has always been a Foden guy , and it's like going to Buwaytress to ask "Nunez vs.?" Kind of questions and expect a neutral answer. 

Foden boi does seem to make an appearance in my squad a lot, but I've tried to start with wildly different picks -- almost reverting back to my early years.

You bet Nunez would be in my team instead of Isak ha!

I personally don't use any additional apps but I know many serious fantasy managers rely on tools like fantasy football hub. It’s a data aggregator that uses AI features to rate your team, suggest transfers and plan your lineup several gameweeks in advance, but it's not free.

As for the bench boost, you're correct, It lasts for the entire gameweek, so if a team plays twice, both fixtures count. It's usually best saved for a double gameweek. However since FPL now gives us two bench boosts, one for each half of the season, it's very unlikely we'll see a major double gameweek in the first half anyway. Using it early is completely fine. You'll definitely want to save your second bench boost for late in the season, when postponed matches create big double gameweeks. By the way the same logic applies to the triple captain chip as well!

Ok as for additional apps, I will leave it at that. FPL is fun, but it is probably not going to become an additional part-time job and therefore paying for apps in not an option.

That is good advice from you, I appreciate it. I haven't thought about postponed matches at all, but they will definitely be considered in the week you activate the bench boost? Nothing happens retrospectively then, which makes sense as it would destroy the whole FPL logic. But if you don't know it, you are for sure at a small disadvantage although it is a bit like gambling, hoping for matches to be postponed. I remember last season there were quite a few I think that were postponed.

I have just been reading about how to treat injuries, transfers and how quickly market values of players can change. These serious fantasy managers, I can only guess how much time they invest. The management of an FPL team is one thing, but being aware of all the relevant things going on in the league, it'll surely cost them a good amount of time.

I read that the best timing for transfers is right after any gameweek is finished, but I think this is not true as a set in stone rule. If there is a player who is going through a crisis and you are convinced he will come back stronger, wouldn't it be smarter to wait for many managers to sell that player first? Or is it usually ill-considered to buy any player who is going through a crisis?

J. Pedro would be a good replacement, Chelsea is on the rise the season and with it, we would see the likes of Palmer and J. Pedro that failed to perform last season looking to rectify that this season.

Being cautious on how these point differentials are building this season is actually one way to keep up, players would be rushing to be profiled on goals and assist at the start of the season before it all slows down.

Instead of just using one transfer, why not use your wildcard, and save up the transfers going forward ?

Looking at your team you'll be better off with a wildcard that'd afford you a proper reset with your team and best thing is that you have more information about a lot of teams and players at the risk of playing minutes compared to what was available for GW1, and you have just one Arsenal assets, while you have 3 of Chelsea, how do you plan to navigate GW 3 when Arsenal and Chelsea face each other ?

I was surprised to find you on the table though, I recall you did say you were going to boycott this season due to last seasons result as, you weren’t really focused on the league and kept missing having to do the necessary setups for some GWs.

Anyway, you’re just 2 points below the general average and that’s not so bad for a partially randomized team.

At 4.6m I think De Cuyper is a great asset because of his advance position current and from the next game against Chelsea to game week 6 I think they have pretty great fixture except the game week 5 against champions Arsenal which one can easily rotate him, my biggest concern about him in that advance team is the return of Mitoma who has that position hold down but if De Cuyper actually plays this well in next two games before Mitoma returns to full team training I think it will be a very difficult selection problem for the manager,

I am sticking with Marguire for the Ipswich game if not De Cuyper is my favourite going forward and probably use the remaining money elsewhere. In the attack,

I also have Maguire in my team. I am not sure how i ended up with three Manchester United assets in my team, Bruno and Mbuemo the other ones, and only one Arsenal asset, Calafiori. It already seems like such a bad mistake when i think about it now.

However, Cherki looks like a player that would have a very good season and can bring in a lot of points, i hope Maresca starts him from the off tonight and not as a substitute like the last game against Bournemouth.

Well i just made the only move i can with only one transfer, and it was one in my forwards, i took out Gyokeres, i dont want to do it but since Havertz seems to be the starter i dont want to have 7.5 millions in a player who is not gonna play the full minutes in a game, i took him out and i went with a forward of Newcaslte which with a little of luck could be a potential sweet spot.

Next week i need to took out McAlllister since he is not being a starter also.

This is my first season in the Fantasy League, so one goal I’ve set for myself is to at least not miss any deadlines, so I can maximize my chances of earning points as much as possible


I got off to a really rough start, but I hope my team scores more points this GW2
In GW3, I’ll have to make one or two trades

I’m still getting a better grasp of the game’s mechanics, it’s amazing how easy it seems, yet at the same time it’s strategic and hard to master

My hope for scoring more points this round is that Manchester United keeps a clean sheet along with Arsenal (which will be tough) and that Haaland scores a few goals

For now I have decided to make just the one change to remove Watkins. I think I still have a squad that can help accumulate some points this weekend therefore have decided to save using the wildcard. It is too early for me to use the other chips, I prefer to wait until I have an idea about how the players are performing.

It was my first season in the league last season. I missed too many deadlines because of time constraints (and lack of focus) therefore wanted to skip this season but a very persuasive friend made me change my mind

Does that mean Hume is going to be in your starting lineup, he’s going to be on the bench for me, so whatever he does might not affect me much, in as much as he doesn’t drop in price, I didn’t get 3 Arsenal defense just to bench them against depleted Aston Villa (now watch Villa score a goal or two) and I believe Shaw is a better choice against Ipswich than Hume.

He should be in the 7.5-8m region at the most, I’m more curious if he’ll be classified as a MF or FWD…

Too early to hit the panic button, I’d agree, and you could use the extra information that would come from the final deals happening in the transfer window as well.

I didn’t even make any transfer in my team, though, I could make use of one or two changes, but I still like my team going into the gameweek, however, I’ll have a tough decision to make next GW with my triple Arsenal picks and Manchester City being the standout team for that one, and Haaland probably as a must have for it as well.

What the hell Cherki, I hoped he'd go under the radar so I can pick him in my GW6 wildcard team. Didn't expect him to start today but Doku's injury pushed him into the team a bit earlier.
It will be a panic mode now to get him back in. Foden played well too, I'm still not convinced that Cherki will be a guaranteed starter no matter the goals today.

I still think I need to bring him - no doubt about that.

So far in GW2 everyone from Man Citys attack did something. Thankfully i had Semenyo and Haaland,the only thing that hurt a lot is that i switched the captancy from Haaland to Bruno and i hope Bruno does something good or else its gone a hurt a lot. Foden and Cherki with a lot of points in this round and anyone who didnt have Man City players in this GW really missed out on some big points.

Sure he would, O'Reilly is a very top player. Not to mention his versatility, he can fit in multiple positions, so his name is definitely going to be amongst the first ones on the teamsheet. I'll keep him if i were you.
Oh, Cherki, i said he was going to be very important this season and he has gone and shown what to expect from him this tonight. Glad i have him in my team and i believe he will be in it for a long time, if things continue in this manner.
