Bruno is destroying me.  

It happened all last season, and it's happening now. It looks like the chip's activation is inevitable.

You were up to a flying start and moved up pretty high before Man United game. If I Haaland in my team, I’m not sure I would have captained Bruno for this match, I guess that’s a blessing in disguise, since my alternatives aren’t doing badly for this week either.

Many of us do not have Haaland as captain, I see some of us went with Bruno, Isak, Pedro and so, only one person with a TC on Haaland and that is a great move with Haaland’s two goals.

At least you guys have Haaland. I was really considering him for GW3 to not fall behind so much but now you guys already have 10 points average over me. I suppose I should be happy I captained Bruno, how nice if I'd TC'd him like I was itching to do.

10 points ahead of you is just one player away at this point, and there are lot of different selections across the pool for now, Imagine those that have Pascal Gross in this round.

For me, the round has turned out to be not so bad after all, but I’m somewhat angry that I have 3 Sunderland players with 15 points on the bench, while I’ll be hoping that Arsenal doesn’t concede any goal against Villa.

There is surely no way I'd be able to navigate the coming game week without using a chip or taking points hit, I believe I'm very likely going to use a chip, since I'm without Haaland or Cherki while Man City are facing arguable the worse defense in the league, and Chelsea vs Arsenal isn't a fixture I want to be heavily invested in so to say.

I didn't captain Halaand and he's already on a goal in less than 30mins - it's going to be another long GW.

I have Haaland and Bruno but im stuck at 22nd position and too far away from that first place. I captained Bruno but i guess it didnt even help because i didnt move a single place. Haaland is a good option for GW3 probobly the best one and i think everyone will have him on captain.

Currently the only good thing so far is that i didnt use a single chip and that maybe that can help me out to boost my place on the table.

I don't know what to do. Before the Ispwich game, I don't want to sell Isak, Wirtz, and Frimpong, but there's no other way to get the players I want.

It's very difficult to get Palmer or Bruno, and practically impossible to get both without catastrophic damage to the defense. I might get both if Konsa starts tomorrow and I can optimize the defense as much as possible (then I think I'll have 3 x 4.5, 2 x 4 + 8.5 goalkeepers... but as I said, that would be a disaster because I won't be able to be flexible.

In other news, anyone tilted and already took Cherki into the team? Seems like he had to beg to stay on pitch after half time, meaning his minutes will surely not be that good going forward. Now with Gakpo signing as well....

Yeah, I did of course, before the Gakpo transfer.
I stil think Gakpo won't go straight into the team (if at all) so as long as Doku is out Cherki is probably safe - which is not a lot but as long as it's the Coventry game that's good enough for me.
Needed to sell a mid to free up some budget for a defender - hopefully I made a god call.

My Sunderland guys are killing me though. At least Hume got CS points, Le Fee is a disaster.

Everything here simply wrecked of my Team, I switched from Bruno Captaincy which I had earlier on to Captain Halaand after seeing that he has scored in its last six games against them with most been braces I had wanted to Opt in for triple captain but switched to bench boost because this early season is the best time for it most especially with the lower table teams still springing surprises and I am definitely glad I did.

Imagine captain Bruno I think that’s an extra 20 points and that covers for my bad start last week. Now i also wish Aston Villa could just go and spin surprises on this Arsenal, I don’t want anything close to cleansheet for them even though I have Tzolis on my team but most managers still have up to three arsenal defensive assets left

I can live with Tzolis blanking or getting benched, but I honestly I can't live with another Arsenal cleansheet ( I noticed some Bruno captain managers still have 3 triple Arsenal DEF) we don't need such a gap after 2 GWs lol hhahah.

I don't even want to open the FPL app right now, it's been an absolute disaster for me again to say the least. Not owning Haaland and Bruno might have effectively killed any chance I had of being competitive this season.
I know everyone else is balling out with high scores right now and good for you all, but personally I just don't see how I can make up this kind of gap when gameweek 2 hasn't even finished yet. Some will say it's still early and there's time to catch up, but in FPL if you don't start with a bang you can pretty much forget about it... And forgetting about it is exactly where I'm at right now.. GG

The only way such defensive combination would have been worth a try is if you're not using your wildcard to put such team together and you're trying to maximize the return the premium players are currently providing, moreover for now cleansheets are looking super random, it's hard to tell which other usually good team would be solid defensively and so it might not be terrible to have multiple 4.5 and 4.0 defenders especially the ones that have DC potential, those extra 2 points could easily make up for the differences. However, if you're using your wildcard already the first thing you'd want to prioritize is stability and longevity, and that's at least two solid defenders, and a GK, that would already put you in the realm of settling for a 5-6m MD and 7m FWD if you're to pick Bruno and Haaland + Isak... it probably could have been better if you never hard Wirtz to begin with, he's nothing to write home about just yet, could be better if he switches to the LW with (Gakpo leaving), and for me Frimpong is too expensive at 5.5m for whatever shitshow Liverpool is doing at the back, and he's not carrying much offensive threat to be worth the punt either.

Honestly, I don't think your team is bad at all, it actually feels more like a stable team you'd want to put together for the final weeks of the season than one to start it,  and I think parts of it looks wrongly structured at eats up a chunk of your budget as well, Tzolis and Odegaard for instant are prized at 13m, while two other starting Arsenal defense that could provide you with similar points over time are sitting at 11m, that's extra 2m that could factor into Crooks and Mbeumo to Gross/Le Fee and Palmer. Konsa starting could ease things for your budget, but would you want to bring him already while they place Chelsea next though ?

Palmer would likely find his way into my team from game week 4 after Arsenal in place of Mbeumo, and that would easily be at the expense of Gabriel to a 5-6m defender, or Foden to a 5.5m for me, whatever Palmer does now before then, I can live with Foden and Mbeumo made up for it already this week.

He's the guy everyone, including myself who picked Enzo Le Fee thought they were picking, I'm sure I'll have him or Sangare (the good one), maybe both of them in my wildcard team, depending on how long it takes Isak to start living up to is price tag.

Like how the hell did Fernandes got to score a hat trick! Partying with the damned obviously, missed out on over 28 points freebies on Fernandes and have dropped to the bottom of the league.

Still got some players left to future though, hope they compensate on what I need for a boost.

Me and Inspace already used triple captain in GW2 and it was looking good. The difference is that Inspace had Bruno, while I had Haaland.

I thought I already had huge advantage when Haaland scored 13 points and I used triple captain, but it turns out Bruno basically covered Haaland’s triple captain points. Even if you just captained Bruno without using triple captain, you guys already matched what I scored with triple captain.

The good thing is I’m still #1, but it looks like I won’t be winning the freebet this GW. Inspace looks like the one who’s going to win it.

Nope, not happening. All their attackers got sold around the world, whereas the only goal threat they brought in is Jackson. You know him very well though.

Villa might be in danger this season. Not relegation-level danger, but they could slide down the table like United and Spurs

I am satisfied with first 2 GWs with the team. I think it will be interesting to see how some players fare after the transfer window is closed. I am looking at Man City players for the next GW but with Gakpo incoming and Doku coming back from injury Cherki is not such a great pick any more (long term for sure but even questionable on the minutes against Coventry as well).

That is very true and also if you get Haaland/Bruno from the start its easier to switch then to bring them in later considering the prices and balancing the team. Thought I made a mistake captaining Bruno after Haaland scored twice this weekend only for that 2nd half performance to be the highlight of the season so far.

I got Bruno as captain and also have Mbeumo, I thought I would be at the top this week, not knowing that people got more points. I wanted to triple captain bruno, but Hull result discouraged me.

Meanwhile, I'm happy, this will be my first week to hit over 100 points in EPL fantacy. I have 99 points now and two arsenal players to conclude my week.
