Against Chelsea i can see them conceding a goal and this is worrying for me because i have two defenders there from Arsenal. My team currently needs radical changes but cannot do anything because i dont have the budget to change something. I want Raya badly as well maybe from GW4 like you said but i dont think i can bring him. I think i will need to use a wildcard to get him but will need to transfer out on of my bigger players and i dont know who.

I don't think it's a difficult task to bring in Raya to your team; all you need do is to weaken your bench and bring him in. imo, you would need wildcard to bring in player like Haaland ans Bruno and not Raya.

This is the best time to take all the risk in the World, chase aggressively- we're only in GW3 and everything at this point is a gamble and there are still many points to chase - it'd be unwise to use chips to get in a single player when you could simply take a -4 hit to solve it and keep your chips intact.

On the other way, Mbeumo was not in my long term plan. Not having a single City Mid was already a big risk for me.

In my opinion, Chelsea is one of the clubs that has had the best transfer window this season because they were able to sell off most of the players that they do not need and even get some players that they needed except a replacement for Enzo Fernandez, which is something that I think they would regret a lot going further in the season because the options they have in their midfield are simply not enough.

They did not have enough time to replace Fernandez but at least they made a profit by selling him for £125 million. Alonso seems to want to work with most of the squad he inherited rather than to simply buy players and hope to make an impact.

Chelsea have sold players that did not want to play for the club or had egos that were disrupting the dressing room but the best move the owners made was to bring Alonso to the club. He might have the same impact Conte had when he won the Premier League in his first season and lost the FA Cup final (but that was playing with three at the back for most of the season).

Because he is washed, and there were better goalkeepers on the market than Martinez. They could've signed Maignan for example, or even Trafford.

I think he will be a success at Chelsea, his experience speaks volumes. Money cannot buy experience and maybe that is why Alonso wanted him especially at just £7.5 million. Chelsea seem to have made a good choice buying Martinez.

I do not know about this particular transfer but completely agree about the market is getting out of control. Anderson is not worth £116 million and Enzo Fernandez is not worth £125 million.

Age, I would say GK at such age usually go for peanuts (it funny because GK unlike players, imo, get much better with their age.. I would agree that it's quite a steal for Chelsea to be fair, if you consider how many GKs they've tried in the last 5-6 years.

Chelsea fans are probably ecstatic that they have Martinez as their number one choice. Sanchez has left the club on loan therefore could return but for now Alonso believes in Martinez.

It is a good approach to try and understand what you have first before trying to get more players in; it shows he has a long-term plan for Chelsea. I hope they give him that opportunity to rebuild. I like to see Chelsea as one of the contenders for the Premier League title, but maybe they will likely just end up at a very good position on the Premier League table, a top four finish that guarantees them Champions League football next season, where Xabi Alonso as coach will now be able to bring in some of his own choice of players that he has identified to strengthen the team in and then make a charge for the Premier League title and also the Champions League because with this current Chelsea team, the attacking strength depends solely on the three players they have in front, and if any of these players go injured, it could reduce their momentum and sway their campaign.

Xabi could also be lucky to win with this current Chelsea team in his first season; Slot did it, and he can too.

That's because City know how to do good business. Just take a look at their net spend in this transfer window, and you'd understand that they did very well to balance their books. City recouped ~ £300m in player sales this summer, with players like Savinho leaving for as high as £85m, Rodri for ~ £65m, and others.

City's net spent for this summer would be ~ £150m, if you include add-ons, and you'd agree that that is very shrewd business from them. So, they do not have anything to worry about FFP rules.

I mean I would understand the need for a to do Tzolis change considering is 6.5m while there are multiple 5-5.5m players with heavy minutes and zero risk, but with Rondon a 4.5m, that should be a one you can easily leave with on the bench until when a wildcard is necessary don't you think, you'll probably never play a 4 DEFs lineup anyway and the only thing you get to lose is him dropping in value ?

With the new signings coming most especially the midfield I think Cherki minutes will be affected as Igeh said with the likes of Foden who Enzo Maresca called one of the three pillars of the team and Enzo Fernandez possibly been deploy as 10s. Another reason why Semenyo would have more minutes is the fact that with the departure of Omar Marmoush Semenyo will be mostly deployed as a center forward in games which Maresca might want to rest Halaand most especially before tough champions league matches.

So for minutes Semenyo edges Cherki.

You can be sure you are also lucky if you a re not facing some extra restriction thanks to some transfers, for example i cant touch my team so much because thanks to the transfer of Emiliano Martinez to Chelsea i have now 4 Chelsea players in my team which mean im forced to do a transfer to make it to 3. Plus for example other guy could have Watkins who went to the arab league a few days ago and now have to replace him.

But yes overall the start is always a headache.

However, I’ve already realized that over the course of the 38 rounds, I’ll probably have to worry about how much money I’ll have, since several players have already gone up in value and I’m not sure if it’s worth making transfers every round

Cash marshalled him so much he became frustrated; that was his first bad game in many games he has played consecutively from his time in Club Brugge and the few games he has played with Arsenal.

 I bank on him to bounce back in this game and be a problem for the Chelsea backline that is not yet solid and used to playing with the three players behind. Arteta will trust him to start.

I don't think so, that why I've made certain heavy calls for this game week, but if somehow they do manage to keep it clean against Chelsea, it still wouldn't come as a surprise, right ?

Arsenal keeping a cleansheet might not be biggest disaster to my decision but if all the other heavy/drastic choices I made (like that oof triple Sunderland in Gameweek 1) doesn't materialize, then it might be catastrophic for me.

My team looks like shit but only for this round which the plan was to freehit and I did, but the usual selection headache compounded after the FPL chat session with Trofo and co, I ended up almost overhauling my team against, I had Foden, Cherki and Haaland from City, I turned that to O'Reilly, Semenyo and Haaland remained.

I also switched from Wissa/Gakpo/Thiago or to Niccholas Jackson, and as well double Aston Villa defense, I think Hull City remains a team to target, I hope I'm not wrong.

Saka against Chelsea porous defense was supposed to be the biggest differential, but I might also get burned without Bruno for this round... I don't think I'll be worried if Haaland blank, as a matter of fact, I might be happy with it if some many people triple captained him.

Don't have Haaland, don't care - everyone is acting like he's going to turn into some sort of god this gameweek, when the reality is he will probably score 1, or MAYBE 2 with BPS. That's it. But if I were to bet, it will probably be 1. And the variance evens itself out in later GWs. This isn't 23/24 Haaland.

I was unable to get Haaland, I decided to have 3 Manchester City players (O'Reilly, Semenyo and Charki). Let me serve the punishment of not having the beast in my team this Gw3.

I mean this is a perfect GW for haaland to be on triple captain,i did that but i wouldnt sell bruno or isak just to get Haaland especially to lose -4 points. Better wait to get a good chance to do transfer then to lose points now.
