Like Trofo said, the cards in Atleti-Barca were a letdown considering the injuries extracted from the players. I'm still at risk of penalty (thinking also Liverpool could end up 0-0) so all my hopes tonight are on Bayern to make Real pay dearly for their efforts.

In my previous post i stated about avoiding the most probably prolific game in cards just because who was the referee and i was correct on it, in someway i ahte how Turpain works because he is not prone to show cards and he doesnt add so much minutes as extra time in games (despite the 8+ minutes of yesterday), but he tents to arbitrate in a very "english" way with less cards and carryiing the game in his hand and he do it good avoiding falling on showing cards.

About Liverpool we all expect to see them out but scoring 0 goals was not in my books.

Didn't wanted to to write anything yesterday after the game, so, I'll do it now with cold head. As much as Lenglet tried to help Barca with his awful mistakes, red card killed us again. Same like in 1st leg, same like last year with PSG. Though, I must admit that already maybe 15 minutes before the red card game wasn't going that good for us than we did in 1st half. Seems that for Barca it's much easier to win 38 games marathon than any knockout tournament.
Yeah, Simeone last first home game in knockout stage ever, but it still feels like a win.
And this result means that in final we will have team that never won CL before - it's Atletico and Arsenal or Sporting.

The way this Barca plays with totally attacking mindset and high defensive line plus super young players in the defense... It is too be expected. They are never boring to watch but there will be games where the opponent will capitalize on those weaknesses. Simeone and Atletico are the perfect example of how to pick on those problems and make Barca suffer. You can see lack of the experience throughout the team, Yamal will learn with time to not give press conferences with words that can make opponents even more more motivated. Also this last red card, come on, Sorloth is the one running away from you, use your head and just make up for the lost space. It isn't like Mbappe is running away from you  All those are small details, but combined, in the hands of manager like Simeone? I feel like Barca, gifted this one.

Too bad, I would have really liked to see Bayern - Barcelona game, have a feeling that one could have gone into double digits with goals

Absolute cinema in Munich, both teams are playing like there is no tomorrow. And at the same time someone is watching Arsenal - Sporting, what is difficult to call football. If you're not fan of one of these teams and still choose to watch, there is something wrong with you .

I agree with most things that you said. Problem that Simeone isn't only who is able to capitalize our weakness. We would have same problems against PSG, Bayern, Real or City. And yeah, I hope tht one day they will stop giving extra motivation for opponents in press conferences or complain about refs after the game.
Anyway, I hope that Flick will stay here as long as possible. IMO, he is best what we have since Enrique and I trust him completely.

I dont see anyone can stop them winning the Champions League trophy this season, unless they have a really bad day or missing players.
Arsenal is in poor form, so I am expecting to see Bayern against Atletico Madrid in final match.

I won my most points of the season today 40+ points, but it's still not enough for a yellow, and now there are technically just 5 matches left in total, I guess that's all she wrote for me this season

If there was ever a manager that has Barcelona completely figured out, it’s Simeone. Man has got a complete play book for Barcelona and his winning. Not to neglect how he allows his players to commit Barcelona to the point where, they are always red card and his got runners in the team to handle this side lines for a swift counter attack.

That’s about it though, the goals and the two last goals were created out of individual brilliance in the case of Olise and some team work in the case of Diaz. I hoped Real Madrid would have won but, for a game with such high tempo, where both teams are seeking out loopholes in the defense, a red card is one way to lose the game and Camavinga.

I was on track to get 24+ points in the Real Madrid game until Camavinga came on and ended up ruining the game for his teammates. Someone cannot be that dumb while on their first booking.

Atletico Madrid needs to do us a big favor and knock out Arsenal; I've never seen a team play this level of irritating football all my life, I can't wait to see them gone..

What a contrast between the two games last night, a feast of football in the Bayern vs Real game. Then we had a serving of dog **** in the Arsenal vs Sporting game.

I am quite certain the winner will be PSG or Bayern. The other semi will be anti football, Arteta vs Simeone haram ball.

Sounds quite easy for either PSG or Bayern though most likely seeing latest games I am sure PSG will not have that much of a problem going to the final and most likely also win it. It would be two times in a row if they manage to pull this of again and they would surely be directly in sport history books as one of the few teams to have achieved it two times in a row. As for Arsenal game maybe is not going to be that boring as both teams are trying their best and most probably will be an open game where teams attack more and defend less.

So, I'm supposed to believe that wretched Arsenal, which is in a dire situation in the Premier League, is the favorite in the away game against Atletico, which doesn't care about other tournaments and is focused only on the Champions League? Bookmakers' perception of reality is incredibly inertial.

And there's me with 7 PEN after 14 rounds - I think there should be a prize for who's consistently bad at what they do  me for example. Arsenal vs Sporting game recorded the lowest views in the history of a quarter final games - I didn't see any minute of the game and neither did I bother looking for any. Arsenal are terribly bad, yet their fans wonder why everyone hates them. Simeone plays a bit of an attacking football in big matches these days, can't say the same for Arteta.

I wish I was one of the geniuses,,, I dropped more points now and scored the lowest total of top 10 teams in leaderboard,,, so disgusted with myself if I am honest. LTU_btc will most likely go over me, same as Trofo because of my 10% penalty. 3 more Matchdays this is probably going to happen but at the same time it is difficult for me to use up stakes while trying not to make ANOTHER penalty

Why not Atletico Madrid who are not favorites? Obviously not how Atletico Madrid always wins at home this is like an imbalance from the bookies, but somehow Arsenal are not considered bad by the bookie.

I'm not too sure anymore for Arsenal they are now too bad... however looking forward to fighting Man City later if they lose then we don't expect Arsenal in the champions league in fact every time at the end of the season Arsenal always slip.
