I was very surprised by Milan's game, their performance was very bad and it shouldn't happen in the semi-finals. Everyone certainly expected the Derby match to be fierce, but I'm quite disappointed with Milan for not being able to develop their game to match Inter's game. For the 2nd leg, Milan's steps are getting heavier, if you can't improve your game, then the Rossoneri must forget about the dream of qualifying for the final. Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri certainly don't want to give their rival the slightest chance.

I think that anyone who has been always watching the previous meetings would not be surpried with it. Intermilan was still far above acmilan in all the terms. Intermilan has solid squad in attacking lines and defensive lines compared with ac milan.
The result was the same as the previous meeting when intermilan destroyed acmilan with huge scores. I think that the winner is intermilan. It's caused by there was not playing home or away. These clubs will be playing in the same place in the second leg.

I see no chance for acmilan to be qualified for final soon. Simeone was not even putting lukaku as starting line up.
It seems like that he thinks that even with dzeko, intermilan able to beat acmilan easily. Intermilan already had one of its legs going to the final soon.

Im so glad that if intermilan performs very well at this moment.

Such a poor night for Milan really. I didn't see as big effort as I expected from them. Because there were big problems with the shots. This 2-0 loss already in the first game can be a serious issue for Milan in the second leg. I was expecting Inter to play good but this was more than I expected. After capturing this psychological advantage Inter can most probably eliminate them.
I wonder why Inzaghi didn't prefer Lukaku in the starting lineup this time. He has been in a good shape recently actually.

I would say AC Milan was unlucky to lose so badly at home. Inter Milan is a very tactical team. They conceded the first goal in the 8th minute and quickly conceded another goal. Before AC Milan could organize their defense, Inter Milan went ahead with two consecutive goals. And later on, Inter Milan was more focused on keeping their defense tight than attacking. However, Inter Milan's players were able to mount several excellent counter-attacks. Overall the match was very enjoyable. AC Milan are unlikely to qualify for the final after losing 2-0 at home.

There were unlucky moments for Milan as well actually yeah. They wasted a couple of big goal opportunities. One of them was Tonali's decent shot which hit the post. But in general Inter seemed much better. Besides the biggest help for Inter was their scoring two goals very early in the game. This was a really big shock for Milan players to get rid of.

If Inter didn't start this much quick maybe the result would have been different. I was expecting both sides to score honestly despite Leao's absence.

I wasn't expecting such weak performance by AC Milan. The first goal by Inter was due to a mistake of AC Milan's captain, not blocking Edin Dzeko well enough. The second goal was scored after a counter attack, when AC Milan's defense was in total chaos.
Inter had missed several other goal opportunities and AC Milan was pathetic at their attacks. Olivier Giroud is in a really bad shape. Raphael Leao's absence also had a role in weakening AC Milan's attack. I can't see how Milan would win against Inter in the next game between them.

I am happy with Inter Milano 2 - 0 victory over AC Milan in the 1st leg and it seems that this victory was due to an AC Milan player who was injured so he could not play.
The 2nd leg matches will take place next week Inter Milano vs AC Milan on 17 may and also Manchester City vs Real Madrid on 18 may.
I have made bets for both matches and my bets remain the same as before where I bet on Manchester City and also Inter Milano.

Indeed, the presence of one of the injured Milan players, Rafael Leao, made it very difficult for Milan to carry out his usual attacks from the left flank and the victory for Inter was also enough to make them confident of playing the second leg. I can't say if Inter Milan played better than Ac Milan or not because the game in the first minutes was really unexpecting and Inter Milan scored two goals while Ac Milan was shocked because the performance of them but regardless of these first minutes I think both teams had a good and close performance.

And from the results of the first leg, at least Inter Milan will have the capital when facing the second leg match which will take place at their own cage later, although I hope AC Milan can provide a more fierce resistance when playing at home to Inter Milan.

Inter were fantastic today, especially at the start of the game, they were quite aggressive and effective. So the 2 goals in the first minute of control, namely the 8th and 11th minutes, were really astonishing and made Milan's mentality even more down. After that, Inter played more defensively, so that at least they had secured 2 goals and made a strategy so that Milan could not penetrate Inter's goal no matter what. Inter's victory at home to Milan was quite surprising, but at the same time it gave an advantage for Inter in the second leg later.

I don't think anyone expected that Inter Milan would get goals early in the match, it's not what a UCL game is going to be, it's more a Serie A match for them. I want to ask you, do you think it's possible for AC Milan to make up for the 2 conceded goals they had in the second leg and make the match end in ET or penalty shootout?

AC Milan didn't have power when they faced Inter Milan in the first leg of the UCL semi-finals, even though in reality they had dominance in possession, but that was not enough because the most important thing to get victory they didn't have (attack).

Inter Milan dominated from the early minutes of the match and managed to score 2 goals in the 8th and 11th minutes which were scored by Dzeko and Mkhtaryan. Overall this match was a bad game for AC Milan, I'm not sure AC Milan can do much in the second leg later.

AC Milan wasted the advantage playing at home, they even scored no goal. They actually played not so badly, they dominated the ball possession and made 13 shoot attempts. Sadly, their attackers have no good accuracy in shooting. It indicates that AC Milan needs a chance in their attacking line for the next season, especially for the striker (CF) position. AC Milan needs a new striker that has better quality than Giroud or Origi.

Their attacking side isn't too bad, they're just unlucky, if you look at the match highlights you'll find some of the shots I mean. Besides that, Rafael Leao's absence really had a negative impact on AC Milan, I'm not sure AC Milan will be defeated by a score of 0 - 2 if he plays in this match.

We have watched just the kind of a game I was expecting from Manchester City and Real Madrid. Guardiola was going to attack their opponent with various strategies that we have been used to. He did exactly the same in the first leg. Of course, Ancelotti was going to do what he did all the time against that and we have seen it. Real Madrid tried to send most of the balls to Vinicius Junior to create dangerous attacks.

Did this help Real Madrid? Yes, it did. But they still couldn't get the kind of a result they wanted. Because De Bruyne was there to save his team with a great shot from some good distance. But I must admit that Manchester City could have done better. Especially if Haaland had a good day they could have even won this game.

Still I'm expecting to see Manchester City finishing the incomplete job in Etihad Stadium. I will expect to see much better performance from Haaland and De Bruyne as a duo especially.

Milan can still win the semi-finals to qualify for the finals this season, but of course they won't have a high chance of that coming true. It's bad to be 2 goals behind from Inter because Inter's performance so far has been very consistent. Obviously Milan will have to give their all to qualify for the final, so that had to be proven in the second leg by pressing Inter even harder from the start.

I suspect that this season's Champions League final will be for Manchester City and Inter. They have their respective advantages even though Manchester City does not have a goal advantage in the first leg. Manchester City are expected to win the match at home and that is an advantage they have in the second leg apart from their good form.

I think early goals do help in destabilizing opponents. AC Milan had more of the ball in their possession as well as had a couple of attempts but the early goals scored probably destabilized them and they ended up not being able to even score a goal of their own. It’s obvious on why you or anyone would think Inter seemed better cause they ultimately won the first leg of the game.

I also did think both sides would score like and was actually disappointed when the game ended with AC Milan, despite having more of the ball during gameplay failed to score a goal. Playing at home didn’t seem to have any impact on the game.  The second leg would be interesting as I would like to see AC Milan try to come back from this.

I find early goals a bit risky for both sides. Generally the team which score an early and a single goal, sometimes two goals, tend to lower its performance and vigilance so take goals and end up losing! Sometimes, early goals destroy the opponent psychologically and they end up losing the game even if they try to catch up. It was the case for Milan in yesterday's game. The second leg will be very hard for them..

To win a football match you don't only need a good performance and a good shape, you also need the momentum and timing on your side if it is a close game and also some luck. Yesterday everything just went in Inter's way pretty much from the beginning, when you are scoring such an early goal after a corner kick, then the whole plan of the opponent is basically irrelevant after 5 minutes and it is also a huge shock for them. Then only a few minutes later the second goal happened from Inter which made things even worse for AC Milan obviously. Even though i have to say that the second goal was a nice one and it was AC Milans own fault to not defend better there.

Football is full of surprises and sometimes a 3 nil or 4 nil goal advantage can be overturned but I doubt if that would be the case of AC Milan despite their history in the competition because Inter is playing nice football and has won AC Milan in their last meetings in all competitions. I think it's the end of the road for AC Milan in this season's champions league.

This is AC Milan's defeat, which suffered quite a bit at home. I know 2 goals is a tough thing that will be contested again later in the second leg, while Inter will maintain the aggregate they have now, or they could just lock in the goal and hold it to a draw in the next game.

I think AC Milan will be a little more difficult to face even though I previously bet on Milan and that made me fail to reach the odds, but if Inter get the goal early then Milan can't return the game they must be sad to end up in the semifinals which have been been waiting for that final.

Milan suddenly dropped their performance.  Inter are currently performing much better than Milan despite being far behind them.  Inter's 0-2 win in today's match was a big achievement as it was not easy for Inter to win 0-2 against Milan. Inter has overtaken AC Milan to occupy the fourth position in the Italian league.  Milan is currently in fifth position in the Italian league.  It is difficult to accept their sudden poor performance.

In today's match of UEFA Champions League Milan vs Inter two teams entered the field to play. In this match Inter won the match with 2 goals. E. Džeko scored 1 goal in the first 8 minutes of the game. And H. Mkhitaryan scored the 2nd goal in 11 minutes. After Inter  Couldn't score any goals. But Inter played very well in the game. Milan tried hard to play well from the beginning to the end of the game. The goalkeeper of Milan team performed very poorly in this match. I thought Milan would play very well in this match but their players played well.  could not for which the Milan team had to lose the match.

Milan's appearance was not as expected, of course that is the defeat that did not match what most people predicted. Milan convinced many when they beat Napoli in the quarter-finals, but their form has been dropping in Serie A since then which has affected their appearance in the semi-final first leg.

I agree that Inter will be more favourites now that they have a 2 goal advantage in the first leg, so it is true that Milan will only have a lower chance of qualifying for the final. The second leg will be more difficult, but we also know that nothing is certain now. Milan was expected to force the game into extra time and the team that qualified would be decided by a penalty. For me it is possible even though the chances are low.

In the second leg between Inter Milan and Ac Milan, I think we are going to see an attacking playing style from Ac Milan because they should score two goals to this team while they could score even one goal in the full 90 minutes and this will be more difficult for them to win that game because they are surely under pressure.

It will be so hard for Milan since they need to push forward and in counter attacks is where Inter is the scariest. With Lukaku and Lautaro they will be able to do damage on such a vast open space.

What a resounding victory for Inter Milan last night against their core rivals AC Milan. Their 2 goals early lead in the first half was enough to seal a first leg win advantage for them. To be honest I expected AC Milan to win but Inter were good last night and dominated the game leaving AC Milan with not converted goal chance.
