Its clear that Manchester city on paper are clear favorite but real Madrid like you said are quite effective when it comes to winning of matches and the semifinals is exactly the stage they find  a way out no matter the opponent given to them and last season they did the same and conquer Manchester city and I believe they can likely do it again the same season and if there is one team I would vouch for in the champions league would be this exact Madrid squad.

Real Madrid looking soft and disappointing in tonight game and it appears that the bookies were right that favored Manchester City since this first leg,as things stand right now and if City qualifies further then most likely they are going to be the Champions League winners this year which would be the greatest achievement for Pep Guardiola after being so near winning it for several years now.They have beaten Bayern Munchen,one of the teams that had 0 lost games in Champions League until they met Manchester City and now they are playing much better against the queen of Europe and if they eliminate Real,they fully deserve the title.

Actually, if I look at the characteristics of the game of both teams, I prefer Man City's pattern of play. They look more fluid and very entertaining. But nowadays the effectiveness of the game is much more important, in the end only winning and losing is not a matter of entertainment. Madrid should be more confident now because the first leg will be in Spain, of course there is great hope for them to win and score goals by a big margin. Because of the second leg they have to go to the Etihad and that benefits Man City a lot.

I honestly don't know who will win the first leg, even if Real Madrid have the advantage of playing at home. But either way, Manchester City travels to win in order to have a chance of reaching the final. Manchester City miserably failed in the semi-finals last season against Real Madrid, so this season I don't think they can make the same mistake unless they are damned.

It's just that I hope Manchester City this season succeeds in stopping Real Madrid's dominance of the Champions League. Real Madrid have won 3 titles in a row in the Zidane era, but I don't expect them to repeat it in the Ancelotti era.

Haaland is a good striker indeed but he has some unique feature that Benzema lack, Haaland is faster than Benzema, he is stronger has more stamina than Benzema and doesn't fall easily when they push him especially when there 2-3 defenders as last men, he make sure to pass through them and that is what he is strategizing in todays match but Carvajal and Rudiger are prepared for him, they didn't give him chance and the ones he is having are not enough to trick Cortois, but very soon, I expect him to tear that net either in first or second half.

Yeah, Real Madrid and Manchester City met last year during the semi finals. This time around, Pep would definitely want to go ahead in this game.
Right now, it’s the 38th minute and Vini Jnr has scored a goal to put Real Madrid in front. I wouldn’t get too happy for now as the game is still on and Manchester City can still very well equalize. Hopefully, Manchester City wouldn’t concede another goal cause if Madrid finds a way to score another, i think it would be difficult for Manchester City to equalize.

That goal by Vinicius Junior was superb I think. Usually he dribbles much further to the opponents goal line, but in this case he didn't think for very long and decided to go for it within a blink of an eye. What a bomb that shot was.

In the first 25 minutes, Real Madrid was literally bombarded with repeated attacks and could only defend in defense. Well Manchester City played a good role despite looking to underestimate Madrid. Starting from the 30th minute, Madrid was quite capable of chasing and being able to launch attacks and it didn't take long for us to see the goal. Don't get me wrong, once Madrid found out the gap, that's where the mistakes of the Manchester City players seemed to still be superior.
