Potter Graham lacked the experience to assemble the key players, making him an inadequate team manager. It's important to get players you can use and manage rather than just buying players. Potter Graham invested in players that he couldn't employ to help the team win any trophies. The choice to fire him prior to their Champions League match against Real Madrid was a wise one. But the administration made another error by appointing another inexperienced Coach like Lampard.

Agree, it's true that most of us will always focus on Potter even though if we look back at it that the root of the problem lies in Todd who at the same time demands a great achievement for Potter. On the other hand, Graham Potter will inevitably try his best to fulfill these demands. A club as big as Chelsea, whose existence is capable of being a competitor in the Premier League, doesn't really fit in. So let's take a look at Todd appointing a Lampard back to Chelsea and the results may not be much different. Inter won the game against Porto and kicked them out of the champions league while they had a better performance than Benfica and even Inter Milan now they are going to face another team in Portugal while they are not stronger than Porto so Theoretically Inter Milan can beat Benfica in this game but since they didn't have a good performance recently in Serie A there is a possibility for Benfica to have a surprise for Inter Milan.
