The first leg match between Manchester City and Bayern Munich is really interesting to look forward to. The match took place in front of Manchester City fans at the Etihad which is likely to favor the hosts. Manchester City are in good form going into the first leg, which is great for Pep Guardiola's squad.

So far Manchester City are really the favorites at home despite Bayern Munich being very strong team. I don't think Manchester City are bad about this, but anyway they have to try their best to win at home. I'm assuming Manchester City won, but it's hard to predict with certainty the outcome of that match.

Its seems not matter for Bayern Munich have good away record with 100% winning ration from group stage, indeed how strong Manchester City when playing home but Bayern always won on every away games. But have new manager under Tuchel I am not sure with Bayern will continues the winning record from group stage until quarter final? or has possibility for Manchester City stopping Bayern winning record until 8 games.

Between Manchester City and Bayern Munich are quit well performance in domestic league, Bayern success back to the top Bundesliga standings and Manchester City have impressive performance last several games and keep compete for Arsenal in Primer League tittle race.

Bayern Munich is an experienced side in the UCL competition and you can’t take away the fact that they have been a major contender for many seasons now. They know how to play games at this stage and with the experience of this new manager, I think it’ll be difficult for Manchester city to win.
However, as Manchester City prepare to face Bayern Munich this  night, Guardiola knows that if he does not win the competition with this Manchester City side, just as he did not win it when he was the manager of Bayern, then his time in charge of Manchester city will be regarded as incomplete and his reputation will be diminished.

@Bobrox Bayern’s old nemesis Haaland is bound to hurt them a lot again, and I expect him to score at least one goal and continuously torture Bayern defenders. Also with Tuchel Bayern have a coach who understands City first hand, but that too won’t help Bayern because I feel that City will completely crush them and almost secure their promotion to the semi final’s.

It's hard to say they have trouble getting a coach. I think with their current financial situation it will be easy to get a good coach. But it looks like they have their own policies and they don't want to rush like Potter's election.
At the moment Lampard's problem is to understand the new players. They need adaptation and at the moment they are not a good team. So I wouldn't expect much on Lampard to bring Chelsea better. No worse than potter, maybe that's my best expectation. In the UCL I think they also don't have as much hope as they will be against Real Madrid.

Lampard is optimistic to get Chelsea into shape, but he needs support and good cooperation from players and everyone. Some players haven't adapted well to the team, Lampard has a duty to make it better. I noticed that Chelsea need a good touch from Lampard even though I doubt it, but Yes, he should be supported instead of hated.

It's difficult for Lampard to be expected to be able to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League, but there's nothing wrong with seeing how he proves the quality of his team this time. Chelsea are a good quality team but they are just unlucky with goals.

Previously Chelsea under Lampard isn't too impressive and if i am not mistaken Chelsea even unable to advance to quarterfinal when Lampard train this team before so i highly doubt this time he can able to bringing Chelsea to beat Real Madrid especially Chelsea currently looks difficult to win and players mentally also seems dropped and maybe if they can able to beat Wolves last week i would say there is opportunities for them to gets at least get draw result from Real Madrid

But Chelsea even cannot beat Wolves on premier league and we all know Wolves is weak team on that competition so my question is how Chelsea will be overcomes Madrid if they even lose from Wolves and my predictions Chelsea will lose twice on the first leg and second leg so obviously their journey will be ended here

Chelsea under Frank lampard won't be able to spring up any surprise against real the confidence is lacking in the team and the players are not blending, the only positive is that kante is back but he alone can't inspire them in the UCL...

Regardless of who the coach is, I don't think Chelsea will be able to say much. This is not only limited to Lampard but Chelsea's problem is very risky and more than that so when they can't do much I don't think this is a problem for a new coach like Lampard considering that their problem is bigger than it was before and Lampard is only an Interim who is like a victim who will Scorned when Chelsea was still in the same condition.

Lampard's past managerial career has not been particularly bright. I think he may be a coach who is considered temporary.  Its permanence depends on its success. If he makes a big surprise and gets successful results in the Champions league, maybe he can continue next year. If Chelsea's current bad chart continues, they will continue with another coach next year.

It's hard to expect Lampard to make big changes to the Chelsea squad in such a short of time, his experience as a coach at Chelsea before as well as Everton shows what he really is, he still needs time before he becomes a great coach, and actually coaching teams in other divisions will it is better for him to gain a lot of experience like Vincent Kompany did.

Especially in big competitions like the champions league where only a strong team will survive, not only about the player material that the team has but the coach's ability to determine the right strategy from one match to another, because Chelsea has pretty good player material but doesn't have a coach yet which is pretty good.
Chelsea will lose this first-leg match and Chelsea's poor defense will make Madrid free to score lots of goals, maybe Benzema will make a hat trick, and Lampard's position at Chelsea will not be permanent and that is a good thing in my opinion.

And of course playing at home will also be another advantage for Benfica in this match. and it looks like a lot of people are betting on Benfica. but I'm thinking a little different things. i.e. I have a hunch that Inter Milan will give a surprise in this match. although I know Inter had a bad match in their local league. but I feel that Inter are not an easy opponent to beat. Recently, in the local league, Benfica lost to Porto. and as we know Porto narrowly lost to Inter Milan in the round of 16. but I'm still unsure whether I should bet on Inter or not. and so is the Man city vs Bayern match, I will probably favor Bayern or a draw. i know man city has haaland. but if the Bayern players are able to keep tight on the path of the ball that will be directed at Haaland then I think Bayern will have a chance in this match. this first leg I would expect a draw.

For Benfica, I also think that they should win, but there are doubts about City, after all, Bayern is a very serious opponent. Their performance in recent matches doesn't look very confident and they concede a lot, Sommer doesn't always manage to show a good game, and Haaland is in great shape now, besides, I think City are also in better shape in general. I doubt City will "completely crush" Bayern. I see City winning the game and the round in general but I don't think they will crush Bayern. Aside the fact that Tuchel understands City's game, Bayern is a team that know how to play against teams that play like Man City. They will allow you have your possession and make your short passes but once they get the ball they stretch their opponents with long balls and counter. Sane, Gnabry, Coman, Musiala, theyre all very fast players and also good dribblers. Man city have to be very careful of how far they attack because if they are caught out of position, Bayern can and will hurt them.
Pep can also be a victim of his own smartness today again as usual. He always likes to twerk things and try out new tactics. He should be very careful of the decisions he makes going forward in this competition because they can either make him or break him.

Betting for Benfica does look more convincing for this match. But I won't dare to bet big for this match because Inter Milan could surprise us in this match. Likewise with the Man City vs Bayern match. I will probably bet on Man City because the position as the host seems to bring high motivation for the Man City players to win this match. Actually this match is no less interesting than the City vs Bayern match, I'm pretty sure the two teams will offer a pretty fierce battle. however, if we refer to it in terms of performance. it is very clear, that Inter is quite in doubt in this match. yes, considering their performance in the Domestic League and several previous matches in this competition, Simone Inzaghi's squad tends to play more defensively. plus, they don't have much to offer from each of the matches. so, it is only natural that the home team is superior in this match. and if I refer to the predicted line-up that Inzaghi will apply, I don't see any significant pattern or strategy changes that will be set by the Inter coach. yes, they will use the 3-5-2 formation pattern, which duets Martinez and Lukaku as the spearheads.

Meanwhile, the home team seems better prepared for this battle. to be honest, i don't doubt the work ethic of benfica players. it's just that Roger Schmidt has to anticipate every counterattack that Inter will do. because IMO, I'm quite sure that Benfica will take the initiative to play with an offensive pattern, as I refer to from the predicted line-up that will be implemented by Roger Schmidt with a 4-2-3-1 formation, which places Goncalo Ramos as the spearhead. well, as I said in several posts, Benfica's chances are big enough to overthrow Inter. Lampard is not a good coach, I can call him average at best. He has the modern day coaching mentality, that's why his team try to play well, but he's not tactical in any way. I think he should just stick to the lower leagues or a mid table team.
In all the teams he has coached there have not been any significant difference.
His first season at Chelsea, he was decent, given the fact that the team was under a sanction that made it impossible for them to sign any new players, but after then he was just awful. He is very similar to Potter, but a little better. They both manage to make their team look busy but they actually do nothing with the ball.

After sacking Potter, if Chelsea have managed to get a good coach, they would have stood a better chance against Madrid because even Madrid is not in a very good form but instead they went with Lampard. I still struggle to understand how the management of Chelsea don't see that as a bad decision.

I personally think Benfica will win against Inter Milan. I watched Benfica's performance in the Primeira Liga. They are playing very well this season. And more importantly, Benfica's performance in the Champions League this season has been very solid and consistent. Benfica played very well on the group stage and was probably the group champions. Benfica's players have shown excellent performance in both the Round of 16 matches. And a win against Inter Milan will not be difficult for Benfica to maintain this streak. But Inter Milan is an experienced team. Benfica must perform very carefully.

Im thinking to pick benfica as well and why? here's my opinion

Intermilan doesn't have a good striker right now. Lukaku was always making simeone disappointed while dzeko was not performing so well in intermilan as a striker. The previous meetings between benfica and intermilan already happened a very long time ago. I see no reason for us to judge benfica was not superior compared to intermilan. This time benfica is not the same as old benfica. I meant benfica is coming with a very good record in the domestic league. Benfica's performance is as good as napoli.
that's why simeone has been urges its players to be very careful when intermilan will be facing benfica soon.

There are some benfica's players that will become the biggest threats for intermilan. Intermilan may not use lukaku in the upcoming match against benfica.

Goncalo ramos is as good as haaland. He was a goal machine for benfica.
