But with all of your speculation I don't think there will be any chance this year for ethereum to cross that level but of course nothing is certain in crypto market and everything may go behind our expectation.

though i doubt that by any chance ethereum will ever cross 4k this year or at least not in 2023? maybe when i can see this happening is in 2025 and that is the perfect time to check and believe this to happen.

I don't think 2023 has yet made the ethereum determinant reach a price of 4000$, if previously the bear season occurred it would take a long time, unlike the bull season, only one year or less occurred. so if you have been in crypto for a long time you will know the bear and bull situation in the past which can make comparisons

this year I think eth could hardly reach that value, considering that even btc is still heavily in massive corrections, despite eth recently have quite the rally it’s still in correction regardless, after the rally its still losing its value again and this means the rally was only temporary, I think it requires the changing of trend from btc first then $4k could gets realized

This is something that I simply do not think it is going to happen, the ATH of ETH is higher than that but not for much, so it will require for ETH to generate a lot of enthusiasm on its own while we are still in a bear market, which as you may guess is not easy at all to do, especially when we consider the extent of the growth you want for ETH to reach, so having said all of that it should be clear I think there is no chance at all for ETH to reach this price during this year.

That's a pretty lofty goal in such a short time, we're at the end of the third quarter and just over four months away from the end of the year.
Although the market is always going to have crazy things happen, it won't be easy for ETH to hit $4k, unless there are some powerful catalysts that will take the entire bull market in a row from here to the end year. The merge is approaching but bitcoin signal is less optimistic when Mt.Gox releases 137000BTC, which makes investors quite nervous and fear the market will fall rather than rising.

I can tell you that can't happen this year, we are only four months away from the end of the year, and looking at the global economy, that's not as good for venture capital as crypto. The market is under a lot of pressure from the economic crisis so the biggest event of ethereum is not strong enough to help eth increase more than 150% in just 4 months. The $4k target is not difficult for ETH but not short term, it is more suitable for the long term.

Crypto is dumped so hard this year. next year may become a recovery phase for crypto. So, i didn't even see any point to call ethereum would be going to the 4k or even more easily. It's hard to know when ethereum will hit $4k again, but we can hope it will be before the end of 2022. If that hasn't happened yet, we shouldn't panic, especially if we see the price drop further as bitcoin price moves affect the altcoin market. Maybe we should be more patient in waiting for the price of ethereum to increase again, and this doesn't seem easy because the first target that ethereum has to achieve is to increase the price to break through the $2k again. All cryptos have struggled due to the bear market but now that the bear is slowly subsiding, we are now feeling a small relief in each of their price but if you will noticed, eth excels a little bit, that is because there is a merge that will take place.

I forget if how long will this merge last or how many phases it has but I can feel that 4k will be reached out soon, most especially if the effects on the merge is very positive like if the transaction fees will also go back to it's original form just like the early times as that will magnet investors again or only those who want to use the coin for their regular activities like playing a gambling and online shopping.

I dont see ETH getting close to $4k or breaking previous all-time high by the merge in less than 30 days. If it will,it should have been priced out now. I only think it can prevent a lower bottom in this bear by increasing trade and other activities on the blockchain and trade volume of ETH, that can sustain the price. I don't see 4k price as too much big a price for ethereum to reach in a short period, but many think that a 4k price is too big of a price to anticipate in this present market condition on the contrary, if any good news breaks out and the $2000 price is reached it will become very easy to beat the 4k benchmark.

If the market moves onto bullish, then we can experience the price of ethereum reaching high above $4000. For now the market moves won't be that wild to reach $4k within this year. This year the growth is much slower than other time period with fluctuations in large margin. Speculators have predicted it for the year 2025-26. Based on what I've learnt, the price movement starts over the days of halving and this can make a direct bounce or can move in a stabilized way. Anyhow the $4k is predicted to happen after 2024
