Ethereum has struggled alongside bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the market if Bitcoin goes down altcoin also follows suit which is why the altcoin market is in shambles at the moment. But ethereum looks like the only Savior of the altcoin market. So will the ethereum price get to 4k before the end of 2022?

I dont think that eth will reach 4k this year only if there is some big news or a bullrun. Eth is a big project and probobly the biggest one so far but still has a lot space to improve. I expected it to be at 8k but this bear run slowed them down with the price range. No doubt that we will see again 4k but not soon

That is the case.. "we are not in a bull run right now"  meaning ETH is still in the bear market, this hype and price recovery is just an effect of an artificial hype created by the merge event.  If ETH failed to hit $4k during this upcoming event, I do not think $4k is possible for ETH this 2022.  There are some possibilities but it is kinda slim.  Like hype continuing after the merge and eventually creating FOMO.  If that happens, even $5k  is possible.  But if not, I think we will be back again at $1k - $1.5k  ETH a piece.

This can happen unless bitcoin goes from 20k to 69k again we will have a chance to see ethereum hit $4k, but that can only happen in a dream, when we are only 4 months away from the end of 2022, a period too short for bitcoin. Not to mention world events from war, economy, and inflation show no signs of slowing down. The market not only did not increase but also had more corrections, even more dumping if the economic indicators were not more feasible.

Not too. There is no pattern formed on the intraday chart indicating the arrival of any uptrend. ETH would have to rise more than 2X from its current price to reach its $4k valuation, and the current data says nothing about that.

I agree that ETH reaching 4k looks quite easy if the merge happens very easily. The process will be a very scary one for most people and we will all be holding our breath to see if it will be a good one or not, and when it happens we are going to end up seeing if it worked or not as well.

Overtime people will see that it is working and we are going to be very happy about it and many people will start buying more and more to earn, the staking reward is only 5-6% per year but ETH price goes up as well which means there are added benefits, so there will be a ton of people who will want to hold it. Inflation made it look like 5% is nothing, but it used to be a great return, when you consider ETH price going up, it is still great.

with Hours left? I still don't see that this merging will help Crypto specially Ethereum  for this event , and there are even thread created hours ago about the sentiment of the people in this merging yet the answers or the vote in the poll are negative.

You're absolutely right about your argument, merger was ethereum's biggest driver this year, arguably the biggest hope for ETH to break out this year, but it's disappointing that it didn't happen. The market is still falling and there is no sign of going up and the market will receive a new rate hike from the Fed soon, everything will continue to go down.

I expected the market to rally after the ETH event and then it would go down when the Fed raised rates but things didn't go as expected. We're almost to the end of the year, I suspect by the end of this year ETH will hit $4k, I guess ETH will have a hard time surpassing $2k this year, the $4k dream is far away.

Yes, it is difficult to expect the price to rise to $4,000. This year will end in less than 4 months, it is a too short time to have a significant change from $1,450 to $4,000. During this bearish season, the price of altcoins can't increase very fast. It may be different if we are in the bullish season, the price may change $3,000+ in a few months only. Since this is bearish, I think the most possible price to achieve is about $2,000.
