For me that was privileged to watch most of England, Spain and Germany games in the just concluded UEFA Euros Championship, I think I quite agree with you to an extent. Germany before they were eliminated by the eventual winners of the tournament Spain were visibly better than England in terms of performance and would've stood a better chance of eliminating England if the two teams had met each other in the competition. Germany who happens to be the host nation was unfortunate to meet a stronger team like Spain in the quarter finals which was why they got knocked out while England on the other had was lucky with knockout stages draw. They had to face teams that wasn't as strong as Germany, Spain or France till they reached the final of the competition. England wasn't convincing with their performances but they managed to get to the finals which was what they wanted but couldn't get the ultimate prize because they faced a better team like Spain

This could have actually been a more enjoyable tournament if some other favourites also played better. I mean England and France especially here. I can say England were better to watch at least but still not good enough. Bu thankfully we had Spain and Germany as well.    After Germany were eliminated I was fully confident about Spain to win the title. Nothing is guaranteed in football, I know. But Spain were just too good to believe in a different team to make it.

If England had a pair with either Germany  or Spain earlier after their group stage or at the group stage then they might have not even had the privilege of playing at the finals in the first place because there was no way they could have get passed Spain , Germany and even France .. yet they failed at the final  ...they really need to put in more effort probably better luck next time as we now have  a defending champion which is Spain.

But England needs to up their game and if they can build a strong squad for the next Euro Cup they will have dreams of winning the title.

Winners usually get a better sign from the "players of the tournamnet" type of stuff, but I disagree. Just because spain won, they put so many Spanish players there, and to be fair they played all well too, but Olmo? I do not think so. I think even Akanji is in question, I just don't think that they were as good as this, fabian ruiz wasn't that great neither.

First of all, Jude wasn't "this" bad, ok maybe he wasn't as good as his Real Madrid level, he played better at the club, so I agree, but not in the 11 players of the tournament? Are we insane? Whether luck or not , it was recorded that they reached the finals and they would have even caused some kind of upset too if only they didn't go back and relax after scoring that equalizer because the goal made them relax and Spain was tirelessly working in the Frontline with the likes of William and yamal running down defenders on a steady.

What's your point? England had an easier path and they went through it worse. But we can make an assessment from the other side: before the start of the tournament, England was the main favorite (rated slightly better than France), Spain was rated 3 times worse. If I remember correctly the odds were approximately 3 and 10+. But by the finals the roles had completely changed and Spain was already the favorite and they confirmed their status.
