So I read a conversation from my hardcore friends that Tank Davis didn't just demand a catchweight at 136 but also a rehydration clause of no more than 146. So this is a fucked up fight for Ryan Garcia. So I guess it may be true that his lazy ass is done with boxing and just wanted to cash out big time so he surrendered every possible leverage he could take in this fight for sake of millions of dollars for his early retirement fund. Ryan Garcia is nearly a year inactive and after spending 2 fights at 140, he is now back to a catchweight of 136 which would be harder for his growing age and that rehydration clause will affect his full potential for this fight.
No wonder Tank is getting 1.39 odds which surprised me, I was expecting around 1.50 something.

Ok let's hear the opinion of Shakur Stevenson, he will have his fight at 135 lbs later and this is his take in this fight. “Ryan don’t have the IQ, the defense. I just think Tank's IQ is better than Ryan’s for sure. You gotta make him earn everything. Ryan, it don’t look like he’s the type of fighter that’s gonna make him earn anything. It’s all gonna be given to him. Once he gets that shot, it’s over with.”
https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-believe-ryan-garcia-iq-beat-tank--173482So another fighter in the books who think that the odds are correct and it should be in favor of Davis because he believes that Ryan doesn't have the ring IQ and one dimensional and he blatantly attack and says that everything that Ryan got at this point of his career is like spoon feed for him but Golden Boy. Not sure what will be Ryan's response here, (I haven't seen one), but for sure he will not take this lightly and could be very well replied through his official and verified twitter account hehehe. Yes You may well expect that Ryan Garcia won't be silent about this one as this specific opinion that Shakur gave will literally trigger Garcia. This is getting fun, only the minority believes that the young blood can overcome the title holder. Well, can't really blame Shakur for what he had said because he was just being honest as Ryan surely got no defense and his IQ isn't that vast compared to Tank, and worse thing is, he's just attacking blindly most of the time while waiting until those punches will have a clean land.

I'm afraid you got your facts wrong my friend. First off, it wasn't Tank Davis who demanded a catchweight at 136, it was Ryan Garcia because it was said that he's not that suitable anymore to fit at 135 and to give back the favor, the latter also agreed with Tank's camp to have a rehydration clause which will limit the latter's weight in the day of their actual fight. Take note, this wouldn't happen if only Ryan Garcia proceeded with a plain fight that will be contested at 135 but since his camp asked some favor that will give them an advantage, it's no wonder that Tank's side will also make up something to even out the table. Second, Ryan Garcia was already more than two years inactive at 130 if that's what you mean because his last two fights was contested at 140 where he fought Emmanuel Tagoe and Javier Fortuna, respectively.

Well, it's been years already since Ryan Garcia is challenging Tank Davis in public. Tank a couple of years ago went to 140 also. It came from Tank Davis' mouth that Ryan Garcia tried to negotiate for 138 then 137. Tank Davis being a cherry picker and doesn't care about fighting nobodies and tomato cans for the rest of his life never gave Ryan Garcia the chance to meet halfway which is at 137.5 something. Tank Davis learned a lot from Mayweather's strategy of exploiting deals or no fight at all. This is the reason why Oscar De La Hoya seems a little furious about his ward's willingness to give up everything and just follow all the demands of Tank Davis. At 136, they should have demanded a no-rehydration clause. You're a little lost mate or maybe you meant 135. Ryan fought Tagoe and Fortuna last year, so he is nearly a year inactive. After this, Oscar will be more focused on grooming Vergil Ortiz, Jaime Mungia, and his other potential prospects of becoming superstars since Ryan is ready to leave boxing after earning $5 to $20 million unless he scores an upset.

Lol, i'm leaning towards an upset here when they start negotiating for this fight as Ryan Garcia is the bigger fighter here which could give trouble to Tank Davis but with that rehydration clause i don't think that King Ryan could impose his size here as he will be only taller not bigger and upset is a slim possibility and Oscar knows that because he experienced that scenario too when he fought our very own Manny Pacquaio. But i don't think this would be the end of Garcia's career if he lost, he could be the gate-keeper as he will be exposed on this one and potentially could earn 1-2 million USD per fight if being called out to fight champions hehe.

I mean, after the reported canceled bout of Inoue versus Fulton, I would believe this could also happen with Davis versus Garcia. Injuries could happen in their training camps so it's a possibility. Pay per view price is not changing so I guess it is stuck at $84.99. This is much higher than Canelo vs Plant fight $79.99 and just lower by $5 in the Pacquiao versus Mayweather fight which is $89.99. I don't know if viewers will find it worth the price because they made a big trend in social media. I would gladly just wait for the replay instead of paying this and just use the money for putting my bet on Davis.

Yes, my bad, it was 135 (super-light) and not 140. He fought Tagoe and Fortuna last year which makes him already 2 years inactive at 135 because the last time he fought at that division was the time his chin was revealed, it was against Campbell. And of course, every boxer is aiming to have a fight where they have the advantage and not their opponent. Who would want that fight? Ryan Garcia and his camp already asked for a catchweight that's why they can't decline Tank's camp to make a rehydration clause. As I said, none of these things would happen if Ryan Garcia agreed at a plain ol' 135 bout. ...since Ryan is ready to leave boxing after earning $5 to $20 million unless he scores an upset. Interesting... Is that a speculation or a fact?

In any case, very much similar to Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, we will never know if the price of the payperview is worth the quality of the fight. However before April 22, just knowing that Tank Davis and Ryan Garcia are willing to go in the ring vs. each other while they are strong and young is clearly worth $84.99.

I'm pretty sure that this will be an exciting match knowing that both of them are undefeated, and at the same time, they are rising stars on the own weight class. At the same time, it hasn't started yet, but many are already saying that this fight would be a candidate for a battle of year, and I guess I might agree with them just by looking on how they fight in their careers. As of this moment, Davis is the -240 favorite, while Garcia is the +200 underdog. For sure, I will put a bet on this one, but TBH I'm having a hard time picking which one should I put my money with because both of them really can just knock their opponents out.

That's a really blockbuster fight and it should happen in a wide stadium because the fans wanted to see it live in action right in front of their eyes. The fight between clean records and great fighter are not common and this fight alone will become history in the boxing industry it would be best for these fighters to give all of their strength and try hard to knock out each other. The fans know how hard their punches are and they expect the fight will not go boring and reach the judges' decisions.

Yeah, everyone was almost fooled by this report, but we all know that both are already zone in this fight so I doubt that they will just cancelled it on April 1, . That's the issue though, but if we are going to compare them in the likes of Manny and Floyd, this are two young fighters on their prime so obviously, they will gave everything on the line in this fights. Besides, it's a high stake fight and there is a possibility of earning more in a rematch if Ryan win. So for me, it's definitely a worthy fight to watch at that price range.

For sure, I will put a bet on this one, but TBH I'm having a hard time picking which one should I put my money with because both of them really can just knock their opponents out. Gervonta is probably winning this fight. But since moneyline betting here is not worth it if you want to bet on Davis, I probably look for better odds. Perhaps a Gervonta Asian total bet of over 7.5 with 1.91 odds so far is good enough. You might want to also consider betting on the fight going the distance. The odds is specifically interesting with that one. I know that both fighters have the power but it could indeed go the distance with these two young fighters.

I also want Ryan to win an upset. He is a product of careful matchmaking by GBP and he just blew it all by being inactive and agreeing to all of Tank's Mayweatherish demands. I doubt the Haney-Loma winner or any of the champions at 140 will offer him a fight if he losses this one badly and of course, he won't be getting a million too. He needs to get back in the win column if he wants to get his first title shot. ...since Ryan is ready to leave boxing after earning $5 to $20 million unless he scores an upset. Interesting... Is that a speculation or a fact? We can only speculate unless we can see the actual results. But I will bet that if Garcia will be badly outclassed and gets KO'd by Tank, he will be out of boxing. Maybe he will consider returning in a year or two return if he becomes financially broke otherwise he is good to go. In a PPV fight, there are no facts unless all buys are accounted for. Ryan is popular even outside of boxing and Tank has followers from the PBC hood. So I guess Ryan can easily bank a minimum of $5 million here.

If there's a rematch clause and they agreed to do that Ryan has to make people believe that he can beat Davis if based on your speculation that Davis outclassed and knocked him out, but if the scenario is like a Romero where Garcia is dominating the whole fight then one punch puts the lights out of Garcia then the boxing community will be happy to have a rematch and could possibly beat the first one in terms of sales and profits. I don't think this fight will be close and end in a decision because both fighters just need to land their best punch to make the fight over, both fighters' strategy is they need to land the first hardest punch.

Well, many of the boxing fans are waiting for this fight to happen for a long time, so I guess people will save money just to watch this fight.
But if you are rooting for Garcia here, the odds are at 2.80 as he is the underdog. Bookies believe Davis has the upper hand on this fight. And the odds are like 3.3x when you bet that this will go the distance. Based from the odds, they are thinking that Davis will end this fight at KO. So that's a good challenge for Garcia. If he is not indeed prepared on this fight, Davis can easily beat him. Now, if that happens, wonder what Garcia would want to do with his career afterwards.

The best fighter that throws the solid combination will win the fight, as we know both are good and both will try their best to land a solid combination and put their opponents down. I can't conclude but not being a bias, but Tank got an advantage in terms of flexibility to adjust to any types of opponents, if Garcia will fall to his plan, then possible to see the kid kissing the floor. At the end of the day, all will earn money and if the rematch is possible, they will generate more.

He needs to get back in the win column if he wants to get his first title shot. Maybe he will go up in 140 lbs just like what Teo did when he lost to Kambosos, and now he is fighting for the belt hehehe. Just pretty much the corruption that we got in boxing because in just two fights at 140 Lopez will have a chance for the belt again. It might be hard against Taylor, but at least he is given that opportunity. And I think that will be the road for Ryan here by Golden Boy. But yeah, might probably take him a year before making a comeback if he losses to Tank Davis. ...since Ryan is ready to leave boxing after earning $5 to $20 million unless he scores an upset. Interesting... Is that a speculation or a fact? We can only speculate unless we can see the actual results. I also doubt that Ryan will simply retire though, he had been embrace by his fans so he can't simply just leave boxing for good. He will still have to fight and make a lot of money regardless if he losses this one. If he remains with GBP, another careful match making and his name will still pop up in the future. And with the money in the table for him in the future, he can't resist that one more fight for a cool million at a minimum.

It's not yet time for him to leave the industry because if he will get defeated against Tank, he can still bounce back from that loss and obtain that lesson to be a better boxer next time. With just one loss and then retire? It's too early for that kind of speculation, a rest for a year or two is more possible and hopefully his problems on his head won't come back if he will suffer a loss because we all know that Ryan already had that kind of history.

Regardless of who will be the winner of this one, i think the rematch won't happen in a year or two because of Tank Davis' sentencing that will happen after this fight and the probability of him being jailed is too high but if a rematch is to happen i think Davis still has the leverage on that one even if he loses the first fight. Yeah, this fight will end via knockout (just my prediction) and it will be Ryan Garcia who will be sleeping in the canvass this time hehe. That rehydration clause is too much for him and he will only be taller but not bigger that Davis come fight night.
