Yes, it is, the same punch, Ryan is too defensive on his chin that he forgot that he is fighting a small guy and his body is vulnerable to a liver punch, Ryan is not ripe for this kind of fight, too anxious, prone to careless moves not good in defense, when he attacks he opens a room for a counter punch, that's because he has never faced a guy like Gervonta who is almost flawless in his moves and defense.

Yes, Ryan Garcia doesn't need to fret about this fight because after all, it's not a total loss on his side because there's an experience which he learned from it. That same experience will be his guide and be the reason to step up his fight even more to be more unpredictable because Tank Davis literally exposed him. Being strong is not about being undefeated, it is about how you stand up after you stumble.

Nonetheless, Ryan Garcia somehow improved on that fight like his defense has been improved wherein his past fights, you can't see him really guarding himself because he was too focused giving the offensive strikes. But even that is not enough to take on Gervonta Davis, better luck next time.

I don't know if I missed the announcement or I was just busy on my day because right after the Tank vs Davis fight ended, I directly tuned up for the NBA games because in that same hour, it's still the LAL vs MEM (Game 3). But since you mentioned this now, I directly rushed to search it on google if there was indeed any announcement made regarding about the Terence vs Crawford fight but no, there wasn't any. Another disappointment, IBF should now make their move to give the mandatory fight.

Yes, he really exposed Ryan's lack of movement, not his punching power, but as he have said in the press con before the fight, Ryan weakness is his head movement. And then Tank's setting up trap for Ryan that's why he caught him up with that powerful left in the second. The good thing about Ryan is that he has good recuperation, that's why he was able to stand up and continue to fight.

But no one can recover from that body blow, it was a perfect punch to the liver. Most likely it's like the same punch that knockout his manager Oscar Dela Hoya against Bernard Hopkins when the two fought.

I already said in the other thread that there's none, no announcement that is going to be made about the supposedly fight of Spence and Crawford. Most likely it's just a promotional trick for this fight.

Can't even blame them because the kid does really have the talent needed to defeat another knockout specialist, Gervonta Davis, it's just that he lacks the experience needed as we can really see their difference when the fight started. Tank made some mistakes too but he was still smarter than ever and baited Garcia to over extend until he can make that nice counter in the 2nd round.

Kudos to Davis, what a great prediction because the fight really ended in the 7th round, just like what he said.

Mike Coppinger confirms this fight is happening at least once a month. He's wrong every single time. I don't even bother listening to the rumors anymore. Spence hasn't fought in 12 months so he is due for his lone yearly fight. It's a shame all these PBC fighters aren't more active.

Ryan shot like I'd just hit fast and maybe hit, in general I think it was all about his nervousness. I'd say cowardly, but he wasn't, but he looked extremely agitated. Not even half the comfort in the Tank. Tank Davis rocked hard in his first knockdown, yet he proved resilient as Ryan Garcia was able to stand up. Ryan Garcia couldn't even adjust his breathing to make these hard hits and he lost the match and couldn't even stand up. The smart game always wins, just strength is not enough.

One mistake I see is when Ryan Garcia became aggressive, he started to close the gap in the hope to deliver his killer hook punch which Tank Davis is aware of. He has wasted all the advantages he had when he does that.  Aside from that, the lack of punch variation is noticeable.  He could have do an uppercut when Davis is defending the side of his face from Ryan's barrage of hooks. Ryan's over-aggressiveness in the second round caused him to be countered and got KD.   I thought Ryan Garcia had improved when his trainer speaks how hard they trained Ryan on this fight but I guess it is all talk. lol.

It is a disappointment, yes, because I am expecting an almost balance fight yet, it was one-sided.  Tank Davis makes Ryan Garcia look like an amateur in this fight  .

The liver shot is legit and with Tank's power any boxer will also go down, so I will not take out the credit on Tank's body shot, Ryan is having a hard time setting up that left hook because Tank knows that Ryan is heavily relying on that left hook and he will find a good opening once he unloads that left hook, exactly what happens in Ryan's first knockdown.

I very much agree! King Ry's punches were not very impactful when he hit Tank Davis and also that body punch would not have a big effect if Ryan was allowed to rehydrate more properly. Why should Tank Davis care how much Ryan Garcia weighs on the day of the fight? His team scammed Ryan and Ryan's team should be responsible enough to tell him not to sign the contract. However, for much of the people who watched it, they do not know and they will not care.

Indeed, it should be a good learning experience for Ryan Garcia and his camp.
Perhaps they should also learn to not accept a contract clause like another weigh-in before the fight. To avoid that, they might as well put Ryan Garcia in a higher weight class rather than forcing his body to be on the weight that they fought against Davis.
Being unable to rehydrate before the fight, is something that can affect the conditioning of their boxer. Davis' camp did a great job of including it in one of their demands but for Garcia, it is a big problem. Not gaining 10 pounds before the fight is not a joke. That means avoiding a lot of water and food just to stay at almost the same weight as their first weigh-in.
I like the fact though that Garcia didn't use that as a reason for his defeat. He owned it as his own mistake for not being a better boxer.
