Certainly, bitcoin is becoming a world wide currency, and will grow bigger in the future. Half of the places I go now, all except bitcoin.  Wink I guess that's a good thing for us investors. BTC
Most of the countries now are starting to accept bitcoin. And being treated as there own currency. That is why im so happy i am one of the users of bitcoin because not only it's benefit for me is to give me money but also to give me access to the currencies of different countries. And it is a good thing because if you need anything from that country no need to convert anymore manually because you can do it via online.
As far as I know, the government are starting to accept it like a stock or goods instead of a currency like your said, they also have tax for Bitcoin, some countries have succeeded apply the tax for Bitcoin are United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany ...

Yes, I also think that bitcoin is becoming a worldwide currency and more people are interested to know about it and using it.

Yeah right it is now the crypto currency of the world. Bitcoin is so popular now not just for its price value but also it give us opportunity to have income on it. More people now are aware of its potential to gain when you invested on bitcoin. Some use it to send money to their love ones because of low fee or even no fee at all and you can send it anytime and anywhere but of course net internet connection to do so.

Just given current transaction times and fees, Bitcoin is definitely not a currency that will catch on globally at this time. However, should these issues get figured out with scaling solutions, perhaps in the next few years, more mass adoption will occur.

For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.

It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption.  There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.

For sure in the future it will become a global currency if there are no hindrances in the environment in using bitcoin. When all of the nation will support btc there is a possibility for btc to become a global currency.
I also agree that bitcoin will become global currency. I think all most of the countries will support the bitcoin in the near future. Our country and our government is fully support to the bitcoin because they know the benefits that we can earn by using bitcoin.

No doubt, bitcoin users are now using it in form of global currency where use their bitcoins to buy and sell any product all over the world.
Bitcoin is digital currency that is fast, secure, decentralized and acceptable worldwide. Bitcoin has no borders, boundaries and regulations whatsoever.
And that is what makes it the global currency. Smiley

Definitely, that is why people now preferred to invest than to use it for daily transactions.
But we should always consider that the gambling industry is growing and they have the biggest demand of bitcoin IMO.

I thought about that too. Bitcoin is the currency that is recognized in almost all the 7 continents of the world. This is a superb thing circulating the world for it can be widely used globally thus one currency we can all unite for. Isn't - good thing to have?

we must admit that bitcoin has the potential to be a global currency, because it is being recognized so many countries and is being used some of their transactions like payments, spending online shops, restaurants and so on..But  it also has a disadvantage for it is also  being used for maoney laundering and even payments for drugs and there are still few countries that doesn't accept Bitcoin and even see bitcoins as illegal. I think bitcoin still has to face a lot of legal discussions before it is legally declared as a global currency.

Still it is impossible that it will become the global currency because bitcoin has no proper value. Its difficult to think a currency that is so volatile and still other countries dont legalized bitcoin as form of payment. It can lead to many discrepancies and would create a problem to world market.

If I am honest I don't see this happen whatsoever, its too a lot if you ask me and the fact is that a global forex is originating but it will not be the bitcoin for sure. The bitcoin is just too small and it is also not manageable through the federal government therefore it should never be accepted by the globe.

Every country has a minimum of a single person using bitcoin. So in a single type it's already a worldwide forex but in other terms of controllability and global approval it requires time to arise as a worldwide currency.

Bitcoins are coming soon. That will definitely change the way Payments are used. And it's especially near now that bitcoins are already recognized by countries and legally using it. So the bitcoins can not explain our lives full of darkness. Let's take our bitcoins and consider them as gold. Surely the world will be cashless world.

It may be that many countries accept it as a form of payment, but many countries have banned it so we still have to wait a long time.

If this happens of course this is good news, bitcoin or cryptocurrency can make international transactions easier and safer, as we know that transactions between countries currently using USD or EURO, of course this makes a high dependency with 2 currency .

People talk about Bitcoin one day becoming a global currency but something we don't consider is a currency is anything that you can trade goods and services for.
Money (Fiat or cryptocurrency) is only worth what people value it at.

Bitcoin is valued at ~330AUD$ and is used globally.
Bitcoin already is a global currency. It is used around the world and is technically valued higher than any other currency in the modern world.

It's arguable as to whether its a global currency. Sure, it can be used globally but in not many places. It would be very difficult to travel the world on bitcoin or survive solely on it. I hope one day this will change however and it will take time but I do believe it could become the worlds first global currency.
It's interest has been increased globally and will slowly become internationally accepted by almost all vendors. As for traveling, once you have enough money to trade with bitcoin you can become financially independent to spend on traveling and others leisure expenses too. Once the popularity increases every circumstance will support bitcoin.

I think US Dollar is still the most used business currency in the world. You are paying for most of your international deal with US Dollars after all. I don't think it will gonna change anytime soon. Bitcoin is definitely not a currency that will catch on globally at this time

I think, it would be just a matter of time before Bitcoin can be called as the global currency or should I say, the international currency. Today, bitcoin is being known to every countries and it is a big shock for them once they knew about it, that there are cryptocurrencies that actually are having larger value than what they use today. Many people are just being drawn to bitcoin and they are asking for it to be used in their daily payments or transactions.

It is a great opportunity for us if that will happen. But to others who are not yet using bitcoin, it could be hard for them to adapt such currency because they do not know how to use it and they do not know how to start wit it. But for us who are already using bitcoin, of course, it could be easy for us.
