Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency

I think Bitcoin is not becoming a global currency, rather it is already and it has always been. The nature of Bitcoin is global.

Bitcoin I think is already a global currency, because Russia, China, Australia, Europe, Singapore, Japan and others are accepted bitcoin in their own nations, maybe they believed it will help to their economy in terms of profit,.

Yes it is accepted in many countries in the world but does it make it the Global Currency? I mean do people prefer now paying in Bitcoin rather than cash? I think not because people still dominantly use Fiat currency and Bitcoin is still some kind of option to them. Can you name one company that only accepts Bitcoin as payment? If there is than that is the time that Bitcoin is the global currency.

It wouldn't make sense for any company to ONLY accept bitcoin. And by saying global currency, perhaps people mean that it is accepted any where in the world. There will be some people who are willing to trade fiat for bitcoin. Bitcoin has been getting acceptance and it is promising. In the next 10 years or so, we can see it coming up as a reserve currency.

I guess the probability of that happening is very low, we cannot expect it will be a currency that will replace the current system. It will only be a payment system online and nothing more special than that,  can be regulated by the government and anonymous transaction can only happen if you will not convert your transaction to fiat. Always consider than if a certain exchange sites will not comply, the government can sanction them.

That's what I'm thinking too,  is an alternate currency online and also an alternative method on processing our payments. So it will not replace the fiat money of every country, there is only an adaptation but not replacement.

I agree with that. The definition of a global currency will tell us that this kind of currency is not being bounded by political boundaries and that is the nature of cryptocurrencies, it is not limited to one country but to all nations in the world. Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency can be considered a global currency since it can be used all around the world. Bitcoin doest need to replace fiat currencies and its impossible to do that, but even though it cannot replace fiat currency it is still a growing global currency that world has.

we need more time to see bitcoin is becoming a global currency and there will be a mass adoption in every where since until now, there is only few people know bitcoin in one country. if the bitcoin user is united and maybe make an proposal to the government and give explain to the government that bitcoin is a good thing and they can get involve in bitcoin too, then i think we don't need too long to see bitcoin as global currency.

A lot of the country are not determining if bitcoin is including on the / same as a commodity.

Yes i agree to you, todays generation is very different from the past. We have so called technology, very improving and productive today. I think every year they produce new technology that can be used and useful to the people. That's why, bitcoin is famous its because of the new technology, sooner or later, the things that we don't expect will come, like bitcoin is becoming a global currency. What i mean is bitcoin will become a global currency but it doesn't mean that it would replace the fiat money. Yes i would agree to you that bitcoin is a payment system online but also bitcoin is a kind of currency that will be replaced into real money. That's right today in era of centralized money we all are looking for a way to skip the system away. Bitcoin is appeared in the right time in the year of the world's financial crisis (2008), it's decentralized and bitcoin users are only people who can control bitcoin.

People from different countries using it makes it international in my eyes. I would consider it global if people from all the countries would use it. Also i acknowledge it as payment method but not as currency. We are quite far away from being a currency.

So far only few people do it , the rest is an investor who holding bitcoin only
Also considering there only few merchants, not spreaded evenly around the world
So basically it's not yet completely recognized as global currency.
