Paraguay made life difficult for every opponent they faced, and France also had to work hard tonight. I didn't expect France to struggle this much, but in the end, they got the job done.
France remain the biggest favorites to win the World Cup. Up next is a quarterfinal clash against Morocco, and I think they'll come out on top there as well.

Morocco continue to impress with their determination and fighting spirit. They defeated Canada 3–0 tonight to reach the quarterfinals in convincing fashion.

The match is now 1-1. Egypt took the lead just  13 minutes into the first half. I expected a better performance from Salah. But he is  not performing that well.

Egypt faced Australia in RO32. As the game started Egypt gets an early leady of 1-0 in the 13th minute Ashour scored an incredible header and converted it into goal. First half ended 1-0 to Egypt. Regular time ended on 1-1 so extra time was added and those 2 halfs of 15 minutes also failed to separate these two teams . On Penalty shootout Egypt won by scoring 4 and Australia just scored 2 . Seems like the Paraguay players came solely with the mission to antagonize France players 😂, I’ve seen a lot of kicking and poking and elbowing and any foul you can think of being committed by them and the referee seems to be very lenient because he’s not booking them as he should. I don’t think they can score France not to talk of winning because their focus is on being antagonistic rather than scoring goals.

Paraguay is playing defensive games which I think must be responsible for not scoring France when they suopsed to score.

Starting a defensive game very early doesn't work always work out, at least a team is supposed to know where they stand before playing a defensive game. That has always been the mistake of many teams, to be honest this game would been something else if not the Paraguay's defensive pattern and their keeper. I have only assumed it has much to do with his status of start player within the France selection.

Apart from Uruguay, all the other teams from the CONMEBOL were exceptional throughout this tournament. I would say that 6 spots is not fair for this confederation. At least they deserve one more, which can be substracted from the CONCACAF. Anyway, Paraguay will head back now, as they were unable to prevail in the end.
