Incredibly, Argentina came back from 2-0 down to snatch a 3-2 victory from Egypt in an absolute thriller of a match. At 0-2, I didn't believe the Argentines could even equalize, given how intelligently Egypt was defending. But they dug deep and claimed the win. The Egyptians deserve massive praise for their disciplined performance inside the box, but Argentina ultimately managed to breach that defense and certainly deserved to move on.

The match is ending like a magic, just like Senegal match. From 79th minute to 90 + 2 minutes, Argentina scored 3 goals. Egypt lost to Argentina. Cristian Romero, Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernández consecutively did the work. So sorry for Egypt.

This is unbelievable, I can't even believe it even when it's happening right in front of my screen. How do you allow this kind of come back in a FIFA World Cup round of 16 game. Egypt played more than they've ever played since the start of the tournament, they should've held firmly but somehow, they allow Argentina come back and win the game.

When Egypt scored their second goal, around the 60 plus minute mark, there was a guy saying that he expected Argentina to equalize. However, everyone said it was not possible, that Argentina would not be able to equalize the two goals against Egypt because Egypt is not the kind of team that easily gives away such an advantage.But surprisingly, before I knew it, Argentina scored. From that moment, I started to believe that Argentina could equalize the match. However, I never believed they would be able to win the match, even after they scored their second goal.The fact about a good team is that, at any time, they can change the game and achieve their aim in the match. Seriously, this is a crazy comeback.Now, my favorite team to win the World Cup is Argentina because they are so determined.

It was a match of stark contrasts for Argentina. When the score reached 2-0 in the 67th minute, I considered betting on at least two more goals being scored, but I decided against it—because I never imagined Argentina would be eliminated.

I think the Norway Viking row celebration is somehow becoming some sort of a lucky ritual for the Norway national football team. Ever since Norway started their first Norway Viking row celebration over a win against Senegal as they progressed to the round of 32, they had managed to beat both Ivory Coast and Brazil and the Norway Viking row celebration continues. I truly wonder if we will see a fourth Norway Viking row celebration once Norway completes their match against England in the round of 8.

It's never been easy for anyone to stop Argentina and Messi from having their best Egyptian do a good job, but in the last few minutes Argentina shows their class and has 2 goals that bring them to level; we are heading for injury time, and both are giving their best.

Just a few minutes back, I checked Egypt at @1.25, but now they are back on their level with @16 due to supremacy from Argentina and Messi, but here we must praise Egypt; they did an impressive job and kept things under control against Argentina. This was a really challenging game with both teams showing good class.

Edit: Injury time started, and Fernandez scored the third goal through a header for Argentina. Now it's all over for Egypt. Good fight.

at last!!! a truly fantastic match. 98 minutes of thrilling football. what more could we fans ask for? five goals, a red card, a missed penalty, a really superb Egyptian goalkeeper,
and a Messi who still managed to provide an assist and score a goal. the match was ten times better than yesterday’s game between Spain and Portugal.
now I’m curious to see whether Ecuador or Switzerland will make it through to the quarter-finals. i’m expecting a very close result.

What was this? Just what we were watching right now? Egypt scored one goal on 15th minute, then Argentina gained penalty after 6 minutes, Messi missed, then Egypt scored on 67th minute and I was like, this is the end but oh my god, what a wonderful assist Leo Messi made on 79th minute. Honestly, I still didn't have a hope for Argentina, not even for a draw but in 4 minutes, Leo Messi initiated the attack and scored the goal. This was a sensation, the moment Messi moved on right wing, he started playing better.
It was very visible in these minutes how hard Messi was trying to score or give an assist and he succeeded, this guy managed to turn the fate of the game. I almost cried with him when Argentina won and saw how he was crying like a small kid.

I'm so full of emotions. Congrats to all the fans of Argentina!

Lol did you came from Future or you can see the future? Today no one though Argentina could have won in 90" . Thanks to their brilliant play they bade a comeback . They scored 3 goals within 15" . It's not something anyone can pull off easily. I thought match is going to draw in 90" but they won.

You can't just watch down on Switzerland . In this WC season no  team is weak. So enjoy the match , watch the next match. It will start in 1.5 hour .

The first half is over and Egypt is leading 0-1 in the first half, Egypt scored the first goal in just 15 minutes, then Argentina tried their best to equalize the score but it's not done and the most surprising thing is Messi missed the penalty which I did not expect at all, it was really unexpected. I do not understand what will happen in the match, of course Argentina should win the match because in terms of potential and even in terms of strength Argentina was much ahead of Egypt, now we have to see how the result is. Let's see how long Argentina can equalize the score in the second half, and at the end of course Argentina should not lost the match.

We can see that Argentina played brilliantly against Egypt in the round of sixteen match of the FIFA World Cup but  this team had a poor performance in the first half. Ahhh that's absolutely insane guys.... I am literally super emotions like am super shocked. To be honest I never expected this kind of challenging battle. However match was super competitive like initially Argentina was bit sloppy and due to this they conceded two goal and even Messi penalty make more stressful moment but that's God at King Lionel Messi made beautiful assist as well as spotted a bangers goal in dying minutes.....

I saw a post about Dawg gene before the match and I think today's match for Messi really showed how true that post was. Egypt played one of the most complete football for the better part of the match today, and don't get started on that Haissem Hassan guy, he literally unlocked Argentina's defense twice. But that's the problem even with the complete defensive and attack performance it seems like the football gods always smiles on Messi hence the Dawg gene because Argentina really didn't deserve it.

I was thinking that the game is over after Egypt scored the second goal, but I guess I was wrong. Argentina came back and scored 2 quick goals and they scored the final goal to win the match. I wouldn't blame Egypt, the pressure on them was extraordinary, when it "seems" that the referee is whistling in favor of the opponent, it puts psychological pressure even if the referee (let's assume) is right. Look: Egypt had a goal disallowed for a foul that occurred not even during the attack itself, but before it. Before that, the referee had given a penalty in Argentina's favor without hesitation. I'm not sure if the situation had been reversed, a penalty would have been awarded.
I can imagine that it is difficult to play when some players and teams are allowed more than others

If you ask me why I would say there was a foul to Salah there before Argentina started attacking and ended that with a goal. There was a hit to his foot.

Are we going to see another Senegal exit here, where they were leading by 2 goals at 80 minutes only for them to concede 2 more goals and loss in the plus minutes. Here is Egypt on their way to repeating the same scenario, haven’t lead by 2 goals at the 80 minutes is now on a 2:2 draw with Argentina and their is still more time for one more goal in this game. Their manager shouldn’t have made all those substitutes, they would have being better off without those fresh legs.

It’s better not to support African teams in this World Cup. After Senegal whittled their lead against Belgium and got eliminated from the World Cup, Egypt have also repeated the same mistakes, this is a disgrace to the African football. The manager shouldn’t have made the substitutes after Argentina scored the first goal, because they would be under pressure, any goal they concede from that moment would put Argentina alive to get a winning goal.

However, Messi has proven that his one of the best players in the history of football. He missed a penalty that could have saved them from the first half, but he corrected his mistake im the second half to scored and put them back to the game. This is one of the craziest comeback I’ve ever watched in the World Cup for a long time. Congratulations to Argentina.

The mentality with this African teams is really getting me mad how they would lead a game with two goals and lose it at the end. It happened with Ivory coast, Senegal and now Egypt. How can you be leading 2 goals and recede to defending when you could have just continue giving the pressure that brought you up the lead.
I blame the Egyptian coach for this loss, substituting players that understands the game just because your team are leading was the biggest mistake to have made against a Messi Argentina team in a 67th minutes played game.

That is what you get if you couldn't defend what you've got. What a shame on Egypt team! I watched that match with annoyance, and I knew that Argentina would win even without scoring a goal yet. It's all psychological issue among those Egyptian players players; nothing less. That's why they lost their guard so much, and in just a few minutes to the end, Argentina scored a whole 3 goals. Massive!

The second goal was 4 minutes apart, while the last one was 7 minutes apart. I knew this would happen since the tactics and dominance have changed. Instead for Egypt to measure up, they became still. So annoying!

Argentina deserved to win this match. And each of their goals was absolutely incredible. Because they scored each goal through their planning, where the defensive wall that Egypt's players had built was weak. And when Argentina equalized and scored 2 goals, Egypt also wanted to score a goal and win the match. But unfortunately, they gave up defense in many cases and went on the attack. Taking advantage of which, Argentina easily scored a goal and won the match. It was a truly incredible victory for Argentina. And after Messi scored in this match, his total number of goals has increased to 8 and he is now at the top of the race to win the Golden Boot.

I actually wanted Egypt to win, especially when they had a 2nd goal ruled out by VAR for literally nothing. Messi was there when Argentina needed him most, sign of a really top team and maybe potential champion, to come back when everything is against them.

The last two matches were really tough for Argentina. Especially in this match when Egypt was leading 2-0 even after the second hydration break. At that time, most of the Argentine fans thought that Argentina was going to lose today's match. But what a great comeback by Argentina in the next 15 minutes. Especially Messi's second goal was great that they equalized.
And I don't want to comment on the last goal. Maybe Salah could have been the victim of a foul there but the referee didn't take it into account and as a result, Argentina got the winning goal in the end on a counter attack.

I dont know what happened in this match,i so badly wanted Argentina to be eliminated and again they went into next round by pure luck. I had over 1.5 goals in first half and messi misses that penalty and i was so mad. Argentina overall was better they were attacking but Egypt with some big counter attacks was able to be two goals ahead but just wasnt enough,they just couldnt hold out. Messi in the end with that goal pushed Argentina to the win and i wonder how far they will go after these two heavy wins.

Perhaps if Mostafa Ziko’s goal in the 58th minute hadn’t been disallowed, the Argentina vs. Egypt match would have gone into extra time. But unfortunately, the goal was disallowed. I commend the strength of both teams. And I also didn’t expect Egypt to score a few goals first in this match. But Argentina really pulled off an incredible comeback as well, so they ultimately managed to win.

Some of the referee’s calls were a bit strange at times. But well, that doesn’t just happen in this match. And regardless of all that, I think Argentina truly deserved to win this match thanks to their hard work, they managed to turn the game around in a very dramatic fashion. For Egypt, this loss will be very painful, since they had initially taken the lead.

I completely didn't anticipate Argentina's spectacular comeback, which took them to score two goals in 4 minutes and completely alter the course of the game since the Egyptians had scored two goals in 67 minutes.
In my belief before, Argentina should pack up and leave the 2026 World Cup after 67 minutes of the match.

Argentina just scored another goal

Argentina came back from a 0-2 deficit to win 3-2.  Egypt which had initially taken the lead, will likely be deeply disappointed because they ultimately lost despite holding a two-goal advantage. but still, this proves that Argentina seems capable of going even further, just like in the previous World Cup. But I’m confident that in the Switzerland vs. Colombia match, Colombia will emerge victorious. and that means Argentina will face Colombia. I think the match against Colombia will be much tougher than the one against Egypt, so a tougher test awaits the Argentine team.

As you said, the Egyptian players are disappointed, but they performed admirably, and I didn't think they would lead the Argentines with two goals. I believe they will move up in the FIFA men's football world ranking despite their elimination from the World Cup due to today's performance.

I think the Norway Viking row celebration is somehow becoming some sort of a lucky ritual for the Norway national football team.

Perhaps, but the celebration of Norway's ancient Viking past is part of their cultural heritage and pride, and it may serve as an inspiration for their national team if added to the team's excellent preparation for the World Cup match, so we shouldn't be shocked if they keep doing it since it seems to help them achieve the necessary outcome.
