I agree that nothing can compete with the European Leagues but the Saudi League is different from other leagues like China and America.
Saudi has a pretty good football federation so there is still a big possibility that the Saudi League will develop in the future.

They still won't easily overcome the problem that young and strong players won't give up a career in Europe for 10-20 million per year in Saudi Arabia because they can earn that money in Europe already. The price will stay very high for Saudi Arabian clubs to get players who are in their prime and who are outstandingly strong. The aim of the Saudis will not be to make the league the most competitive, they need the attention from people I think as a country and football is a way for them to achieve it, that is why they are going after old players who they know people already like. You're right and the Saudi Pro League is just going to be a pretty highly competitive league in Asia nothing more, and if anyone is touting that they could be one of the best leagues in the world it's bullshit. Bringing old players to their league is clearly the goal only to increase the value of their country and league so they can win the 2030 World Cup election. And if there are young players who go there, of course because they don't get good offers from big clubs, it could be because of their skills is average but if at the same time get an offer from one of the clubs in Europe which is quite competitive of course these young players will choose Europe, the Saudi pro league is suitable for players who have got a lot of achievements and it's time to earn more money, and I quite doubt they will continue to do the same thing for the next ten years because of course it will be seen whether it provides benefits or not.

And the Arab League has actually succeeded in attracting the attention of the world of world football after successfully bringing in Cristiano Ronaldo by Al-Nassr last season. And this season another big name from the world of football has also returned to the SPL.
