  I have had Samurai and due to recent events I loaded some of my items addressess on it.

  To my horror one of my high end items came up at zero! I checked on blockchain and my item was still loaded. No idea why this happened...I even checked and triple checked the address again.

  I like Sentinels TOR feature as well but it does not give you any alarms if balance changes...neither does mycellium as far as I am aware.

  In the past on one of my previous phones I had an app called Bitcoin address watcher. An alarm popup used to pop up within 5 minutes on an address balance change to alert

you of this. You did not need to check at all. unfortunately I couldnt find the app to do download on my newer phone.

   It would be nice if a website offered services to send an email alert as well.

With the BTC tracker app for IPhone, at first it didn’t support segwit addresses but I wrote the developer & he added that & other features I asked for like more capacity for addresses, the ability to rearrange the order you put them in etc.  I don’t know if there’s a way to contact support for the android app, but it may be an easy fix for them, whatever it was causing it to say no balance.

This reminds me (for the people using Mycelium as a watch-only wallet): I've seen incorrect empty balances once in a while too. It's a bug, but scary moment indeed.

That's not someone who's feeling a whole bunch of shame yet acknowledging responsibility would do....but it sure as hell is what a scamming piece of shit would do 100% of the time--just like that bunch of charity scammers from a while back and likely countless other examples. 

Yogg's name is one I'm definitely familiar with, even if we've never had any interactions with each other.  This sucks that such a reputable and long-standing member pulled this shit, degenerate gambler or not.  It sucks even worse for all of his victims.

I did a big mess, which turned into a bigger one as I tried to fix it.

I've heard this before from him (I believe in a screenshot someone posted) and I don't understand what he means by 'trying to fix it'.
As far as I can tell, he did not attempt anything to 'fix' peeled cards, instead he peeled more and more of them. The complete opposite of fixing anything.

Assuming a heavy gambling addiction, could this way of thinking stem from the delusion that you can actually make money by gambling, and he was peeling card after card, immediately gambling it away in the hope of winning big and repaying everyone? (playing devil's advocate here, of course)

The wisest choice would have been to immediately stop peeling once he realized his mistake, delete that backup, immediately get on here and apologize, then get himself admitted to rehab and psychiatrist (provide proof) and reimburse the (few) victims later on.

What has been said during the Interview was already public available so there Is nothing new. Maybe this Is just a summary but there Is nothing special regarding the scam. What Is really hurting (at least to me since i have spoken at phone) Is the passion of a collector / artist that at the end become a scammer.
Many of us are dealing/talking about hobby and passions... See some "friends" (even if virtuals) become a scammer is seriously sad/creepy.
