The buying and selling of club spots is a nice addition. The permanent fee sounds discouraging, but it shouldn't be a problem if you can always finish at the top of your Division.

Its not permanent isnt it. You can choose either 20% forever or 50% for next season only, the later option sounds better. Atleast thats what I understood from the post so yeah 50% is huge but its totally worth it especially if the buyer can keep their permanent position in division 1

I'd vote that we have an extra division 1 promotion slot for division 2/3 players, I'm not saying that we should have 4 relegated teams from the Division 1, but rather the 3rd relegation slot should be up for grabs via the BSFL Cup route, it doesn't have to be a direct promotion but perhaps some sort of play-in/play-off slot if whoever win the BSFL Cup is from Division 2/3.

I don't think I was expecting any better from you, lol, at least you've got yourself someone that can actually take on any challenge you throw at him, and you don't need to worry about you not having a division mate that's willing to take on a side bet with you.

Speaking of changes, I'm not expecting an instantaneous response or implementation of my suggestion, it was just an opinion that I felt could be worthy of a consideration come season 6 or at any point in the future, because at least there have been 2-4 new implementations that have been put in place for season 5 that none of we the players could have seen coming.

There will not be unless some teams decide not to pay the fee. There is already more than 60 of us so all new teams are almost guaranteed div 4 spot and we will have to relegate some current div 3 teams as well. It is all in that post from cryptofrka and will soon be integrated into OP.

Schedule for 2023

In the first year, the leagues would occur during the following dates:

Season 1 - COMPLETED

• 13.2. - 28.5. (15 weeks) – 12 teams per league, 3 leagues (11 rounds, 1-legged competition) – 36 players
• Start date is the CL knockouts week (13.2.), end is the last PL games/CL final
• 2 teams will be relegated to lower divisions, 4 teams promoted from 2nd to the 1st division and 6 teams promoted from the 3rd division to the 2nd division
• Bottom 2 teams will be relegated directly
• Top 3 teams will be promoted directly from the 2nd Division to the 1st one, and positions 4.-5. will play 1v1 decider in the first week of Roland Garros.
  3rd league has 6 promotion places (4 direct, 2 playoffs – 5v8, 6v7)

Season 2 - COMPLETED

• 5.6. – October (18-20 weeks) – 14 teams per league in Divisions 1 and 2, 12 teams per league in Divisions 3a and 3b (13/11 rounds dependent of leagues, 1-legged competition) – (52 existing players, still taking applications for Season 3)
• 2 teams will be relegated to lower divisions, 4 teams promoted from 2nd to the 1st division and 6 teams promoted from the 3rd divisions to the 2nd division
• Bottom 2 teams will be relegated directly
• Top 3 teams will be promoted directly from the 2nd Division to the 1st one, and positions 4.-5. will play 1v1 decider. 3rd Division has 6 promotion places (2 direct, 1 playoff (3v4 place) from 3A and the same from 3B)
• The future outcome of Divisions 3 and 4 depends on the number of new players entering in Season 3. We have envisaged the possibility of relegation from Division 3 into Division 4, but are yet not sure whether it will happen or not
• Maybe nobody will drop to Division 4, maybe 1 or 2 players will drop. So far play like the last 2 players are dropping down for sure, and we'll see if these players will be lucky when the season finishes

Season 3 - COMPLETED

• It will start on 16.10. and probably last until early March (20 weeks or so).
• We have 16 teams per Divisions 1 and 2 (15 rounds, 1-legged competition + the Cup and playoffs) and an undefined number of players in Division 3 so far (probably 24 or more).
• Regarding Division 3 - We have 1 player that withdrew and 1 player that won’t be near his computer for a few months due to personal reasons so had to withdraw as well.
  Unfortunately, that is our Division 3B playoff winner Ozymandias_DZ – who deserved his promotion to Division 2. The spot will be taken by his playoffs opponent vivekdhyani1.
• We have 2 new players arriving so far (Brahim012 and shogun47) and will probably keep the same format of Division 3 going forward with 12 clubs in Divs A and B – but might decide on something else entirely.
• What we can surely say is that the Divisions 1 and 2 will not be expanding this season – meaning that Season 4 will have 16 teams in Division 1 and 16 teams in Division 2.
• This season there won’t be a Division 4, but that does not mean that the following one we won’t have it.
• It is more likely that we’ll continue having 2 Division 3’s, in that case there won’t be relegation and we’ll keep filling the Div3 spots with new players.
• There will be 3 or 4 players relegated from Division 1 to Division 2 (3 direct, 13th from Div 1 will play directly against 4th from Div2 for the last spot in Division 1.
• Therefore, 3 or 4 players will be promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 (3 direct, 1 potentially in playoffs (4th team from Div 2 to play 13th team from Div 1).
  
  
• There will be 3 or 4 players relegated from Division 2 to Division(s) 3. 3 players from Division 2 will be relegated directly and the 13th player from Division 2 will play a H2H game versus Division 3 playoff loser.
• That will be defined in paragraph below, so please read it.
  
  
• 4 players will be promoted from Division 3 to Division 2. Division 3A winner and Division 3B winner will be promoted directly, and players placed on positions 2, 3, 4 and 5 from both Division 3’s will enter a cup-style playoff format.
• Out of these 8 players, only 1 will secure direct promotion. The loser of the final game of this promotion bracket will have 1 more chance though – he’ll play the 13th team from Division 2 for a spot in Division 2 next season.

Season 4 - COMPLETED

• It will start on 04.03. and probably last until end of July (20 weeks or so).
• We have 16 teams per Divisions 1 and 2 (15 rounds, 1-legged competition + the Cup and playoffs) and 23 players in Divisions 3A and 3B. We're still looking for 1 more player.
• Divisions 1 and 2 will not be expanding this season again – meaning that Season 5 will have 16 teams in Division 1 and 16 teams in Division 2.
  We like this format and feel it is optimal for now, but might expand leagues again for Season 6 so we get a single Division 3 with 18 teams.
• This season there won’t be a Division 4, but that does not mean that the following one we won’t have it.
  If we do go with Division 4, Division 3 will have 16 players as well and all lower placed players will be relegated to Division 4 (all spots below top 8 if we go with 2 Division 3’s).
• There will be 3 or 4 players relegated from Division 1 to Division 2 (3 direct, 13th from Div 1 will play directly against 4th from Div2 for the last spot in Division 1.
  Therefore, 3 or 4 players will be promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 (3 direct, 1 potentially in playoffs (4th team from Div 2 to play 13th team from Div 1).

If I had won just one of those draw games and make it a draw in only one of those losses by one point, I would have not gotten relegated. Oh well... I understand some people dont want to add the sell/buy teams features, but for me we need this to head up the game and also to make a step foward about it, i allways thinked the teams like some NFT i know this now can sound silly, but we never know in the future what we can develop and how trusted it can be and expand beyond the forum walls.

About the divisions, for me the div 4 needs to be set up asap.

Division 4 will be fully amateur, free to play and without any BTC rewards, with a possibility of some freebet awards only for final placement for top teams. There will be no penalties and Division 4 members will have free participation in the Cup and LMS side-competitions.

I understand that you see it as a sort of amateur league, but the f2p model and minimal reward system will probably lead to people taking the competition too lightly, missing submission deadlines, and eventually getting kicked out and this will ultimately create more work for you. Then again, I am sure that you are aware of that.

I see some people are already making offers for selling and buying clubs but that is not legal activity, it can be done only after season 6 kicks off, so be careful  
It would be cool to sell shares and percentage of club ownership, so we can share profits together if I own 51% of club I receive 51% of reward and other owner receives 49% reward.
I am never selling my glorious club for anything less than 100 mBTC.
