Seems that Zverev is mentally and physically not ready. He complained as he had 7 hours less of regeneration and he said it is unbelievable they scheduled the game for this time, since he played a night session yesterday and Musetti had his game finished by early afternoon. I can understand that quite a bit and I saw it coming that he is going to be busy with his fate more than with the game itself. That's quite typical for him. But still, 7 hours more of regeneration within a 24 hour time window is huge for Musetti on that level.

And rightfully so! This was too much if you ask me. 24 hours is a must or at least close to it and Olympia isn't just any tournament. Fans and the world in general wants to see the best play against each other in their best possible shape. Somewhere they said that the goal is to play 1 game per day, but as you said that shouldn't be necessary. But if they want to pull it off at all cost, then do some rescheduling based on the results of the games such that the fairest outcome is achieved in terms of time to rest for each player on average.

I mean there is no question that if Zverev loses this game, there will be drama right afterwards. Don't understand why those in charge would risk that in the first place. It is not only the player who will complain, but German fans across all social networks. As I said he complained and the response from the ITF was "sorry, schedule already been made". As if it was not possible to introduce slight changes, especially in a situation like this.

But it is solo sport. Look how merciless coaches in football are: if the breaks are too short, they simply send their B team to League Cup games, like Klopp once did. Nobody wants to see that, but it is the consequence. There is no B Zverev to be send to the game though...

Ah hell Zverev. Not that it mattered as Trofo was "smart" enough like me to pick him but did not expect such a quick turnaround. I know Olympics is shorter format but the fact is, you go out on the pitch, you're in a certain condition, you need to recover and recondition. Human body is not capable of it for long while maintaining a high level of performance.

I played football almost every day/night at one point but when I reduced that to about 3 times a week I generally played much fresher and faster -- of course I was eating like shit and sleeping like crap so heh, but the point is, we're asking a lot of athletes and it's unfair to give some more rest than others.

Nah, those can't be the reasons, as they did the same thing in previous Olympics (no rest days like for Grand Slams and instead playing day after day). That's just how they do things.

Djoković looks injured to me. That right knee doesn't look good to me and I am thinking he is out today even after he won first set. We all have him so no big deal but nice money to be taken. I just tuned in and caught odds of little under 4 on Tsitsipas. Just hope he will finish the match.

Does anyone have a website where you can find odds for literally all the olympic disciplines? I was trying to find something for "Women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay", but it is confusing. If somebody knows a website that has most or even better all of the odds, would be nice if you share it here. Was wondering whether Ledecky is now a favorite with the USA or not.

It's quite unfortunate, but I think they're are used to it already, it usually happened when there is rain delay and weather issue, but with the way the tennis season is shaped there are usually no break at all, only the athletes choose to part in the next event after having a long one, we currently have Washington open going and that's an ATP 500 which even some of these Olympians would have participated in if the Olympics wasn't in play, perhaps the lasting solution would be to have all courts with coverable roofs, and at least such they can be guaranteed that plays will going in case of extreme weather conditions., although, I think the organizers often prefer natural weather conditions like some winds being part of the game.

Unless some big surprise happens in tennis semi final matches it should be Djokovic vs Alcaraz in final like most of us expected.
Question is who is going to be more motivated to play, they are 3:3 in H2H matches but Alcaraz won last match easy in Wimbledon.
I am up 3:1 against Saint-loup but there are plenty of questions to play in this round and I want Djokovic to win in final.

Katie is someone you can always expect to not under perform on the Olympic stage and she’s seems at it already, after a dominating win in the 1,500 meters freestyle. Was optimistic about her but, I sort of limited her to 3, maybe.

I wish I did a better research about her but I didn't have much time before submitting my predictions.    I hope to get lucky otherwise there is nothing to do about it. I'm waiting for her next events now.

I would hope so too as it favors my prediction in this way but, can’t say Ariarne Titmus wouldn’t be much of a challenge, she’s already hot 2 golds on her and would be seeking a third.
The little gaps they allowed of Ariarne Timus to get ahead of them after making contacts with the pool’s edge and spring ahead is how she held the advantage all through the swimming contest.
It’s what Katie should look into rather than playing catch-ups because, Ariarne is fast and does get that spring boost every time.
