Was an easy call to the podium for Perez, their car is just insane and in this track with 3 DRS (while DRS is the strongest point of RBR) was quite easy to achieve.

Ferrari its probably now the second team in the circus and it is not clear who is in the third spot.

Aston Martin is dropping from the top, also Mercedes is not he same car as 1 month ago.

Big step ahead for Mclearen, keep in mind only Norris had the upgrades and Piasti (exceptional driver IMHO) will have them from the following GP.

Once again my loyalty towards Oscar doesn't pay off  and I've lost my bets but I still trust him and I still think that he will find a way during this season to get important points or who knows , maybe even having a podium out of nowhere but today the luck really passed him and it's well known for not having great starts but he is well known for making almost 0 mistakes and also have a strong race pace.

I really don't know what happened to Piastri, he seemed to have a bad first half of the race and couldn't recover after that. After all, updates are looking great for McLaren and next race, Piastri will have the updates from Norris as well, so maybe we can get a good result from McLaren in Silverstone.

Perez had an amazing performance today after getting criticized for previous races.
So, in general it's still a very unexpected podium but today, everything went well for Perez making that podium possible: good race pace, good strategy where he stayed out longer and especially a weak performance from Mercedes. Hamilton didn't seemed happy at all.
But I'm still hapy for Perez getting such a great achievement done after his recent disappointing performances despite losing my bet, which is very unexpected after an excellent performance from Perez today.

Many thanks for the congratulations but I'm not sure if the results on Superbru are arealdy final because some penalties have been applied to Sainz and Hamilton after the race. Positions might change a bit and from what I've checked, Superbru hasn't updated new results yet.

Piastri is a great driver but he needs to have better luck,he usually is not well known for good starts rather for strong race pace as this is his strongest point in my opinion while for Lando we all know that he is a very talented F1 driver who is lacking the car to give him his first desired win.McLaren management claimed that they will have a completely new car in Silverstone compared to the previous races and luckily that race is this very next weekend.

Ferrari is doing great I think and if with just a bit of luck and if Sainz did not have that 5 second penalty he would be on the podium also,it was not that easy for Perez as Sainz hold him up quite enough and if he did not get that penalty Perez would not have a chance to come to the podium.

Congrats to both of them for today because it wasn't easy at all to predict this race outcome and personally I got 10 points which is not bad 

Curious to see how Silverstone race will be next weekend because we saw a competitive Ferrari and a half competitive McLaren and my guess will be that Aston Martin and Mercedes will improve their car a bit here and there and if that happens , the battle for 2nd 3rd and 4th place in Constructors championship will be nuts

It was hell of a week really.    My placement in the leaderboard is still not good of course but this week was at least some help for me to climb four places.



This is the final look of the time penalties given to drivers in this Grand Prix. What a race it was really that drivers still continued to be punished even a long time after the end of the race.    It is such a tough track for most drivers here. Even Verstappen had issues with this before but he didn't make a big mistake in the race of course.

Perez's climb was really important for Red Bull. It was easy for him to overtake most of the drivers ahead of him of course. But the last overtakes weren't easy for him at all. Sainz made really serious difficulties for Perez and made us watch a great rivalry there.

Ferrari.... i see the rebroadcast of the race and they were really luck in the thing of Mercedes and Aston Martin being so bad in this race, because with the awfull double stack in the pitstop they made can cost them the whole race or podiums, if Mercedes or Aston MArtin were more close.

Last fast lap for Verstappen was really stupid and risky without reason. I think it was more like a bluff.

The whole thing was triggered after Aston Martin's protest, I just checked with Superbru the result hasn't been updated yet (Mondsy morning) so there might be some minor changes, the top 3 in the race are not affected by the penalties.

It was very risky yes but he had a good advantage of over 23 seconds over Leclerc when he entered the pits and the average time lost there was 20-21.5 seconds,of course there was risk as a single mistake from the Redbull crew and that would have blown away the complete perfect race that Verstappen was making so far.In the end I am happy that he did that fastest lap of the race as most of us got 1 point plus in the rankings as many people here usually put Verstappen at the fastest lap and also it was his decision as the crew did not want that pit stop,Verstappen wanted it and he took the risk of doing it when everything was fine for him even without that change of tires.

There was another tactical mistake here indeed and Sainz's race got even more difficult. He showed his reaction to this bad call and a long pit stop time on the radio as well.

Now we have entered another race week. The next race is the British Grand Prix. Silverstone can be the track to determine Perez's fate at Red Bull as well. Because recently it is speculated that Perez might be replaced by Ricciardo after this race.

^  Yup been saying it since Helmut Marko and Christian Horner agreed to make Ricciardo their reserve driver.  I think Marko never really liked Perez.  It showed when he made the tequila comment last year, or was it the other year.  But yeah...  Now some journos are writing it's 'possible'.  Lol.  Not only is it possible, but the writing was on the wall the moment Ricciardo came back.  He's one of Marko's golden boys in Red Bull, like Vettel before him and Verstappen right after.

Marko has a knack for discovering young talent for F1.

yeah, next races can be decision in process for Perez, but he gave his best on Austrian race, didn't expect him to be back after bad qualifier

but, Mercedes and Aston Marton were worst, in the end Alonso was good with placement, but they could have done more, as they didn't had will to fight for better positions after not being good at qualifications

seems that having May winning all races have influence on other drivers moral

From 2 points off the leader, I got to only 1 point distance, so I guess I'm doing better than the average required. Seems like CLS63 retained yellow cap after all!

I just checked the new results and I moved up 2 places which honestly I did not expect at all yet I am eleventh and with little distance to that 6th place where you are at at just 3 points distance  .I would love to start doing what I did last season as exactly in these races I started being 2nd or 3rd every race,of course it will be much difficult now as we are 28 people compared to 12 of last season but I am liking what I am seeing.We are still for a fight in the prize spots many many of us so this pool is becoming more and more interesting with each passing race.

Yeah there were so many time penalties given even a long time after the end of the race.    I'm relieved that I still haven't lost the yellow cap despite the latest changes. Good job for you as well as there is only one point between us for this race week. 

This race was really challenging for the drivers due to having serious issues with staying in track limits. But I still enjoyed watching it. Despite not having a wet track we still watched a great competition among the drivers except Verstappen's dominance for the win.

What do you guys think of either Russel or Hamilton finishing in the podium.  It's their home race so they're prolly gonna be extra motivated for this one.  Odds for them are 4.25 and 2.00 respectively.  Both lines are kinda juiced but what can you do...

Another nice line I like is car to set the fastest lap at 6.00 for Mercedes.

What do you guys think of either Russel or Hamilton finishing in the podium.  It's their home race so they're prolly gonna be extra motivated for this one.  Odds for them are 4.25 and 2.00 respectively.  Both lines are kinda juiced but what can you do...

Another nice line I like is car to set the fastest lap at 6.00 for Mercedes.

You can be extra motivated all you want but if the car does not respond to your driving skills then that extra motivation will be useless and I doubt they will be getting a podium if they perform the same as they did in Austria,in fact it looks like Mercedes has started a downward trajectory when I compare their performance in the previous races with the last couple of them.

What I want to see is McLaren with Lando in the podium as it is also Lando Norris home race and he said he was very happy with the car upgrades,he expect a couple more improvements and he would love to be on the podium in his home race at Silverstone which he described as the best weekend of all the season for him,so the extra motivation here could serve him well,better than the Mercedes drivers.

Actually, Ferrari after Barcelona did a huge upgrade on the car, now they are at the same level or above Aston Martin.

RBR is on another planet and I don't think Ferrari wants to push more for this car, is a wiser choice to spend the remaining money of the salary cap in the 2024 car at this point.

True true..  I was just thinking Mercedes should prolly get somethin going with the car this week after the weak showing they had last week.  But yeah, we'll see.  Hope it's a good race between Verstappen and whoever is behind him.  A funny little stat for Silverstone is out of 6 races only a couple won from pole.  :/

And good one with McLaren and Norris comment.  I kinda forgot about them.  Lol.  But yeah, an English team with an English driver.  You guys think he could finish top 6?  Seems like a fair bet at 2.50.
