I agree. At the end of 14 overs, the match was completely under Gujarat's control. Gujarat's collection was 169 runs in 14 overs. Gujarat's batsmen batted very aggressively in 4/5 overs in a row. And if this trend continued, Punjab could not have won the match in any way. At such a crucial moment, Vijaykumar gave away only 10 runs in two consecutive overs. And Gujarat was under pressure because of not being able to bat well in these two overs. Gujarat needed 56 runs to win in the last 3 overs. Gujarat's batsmen batted well in the last 3 overs as well. Yesterday's game was so interesting and wonderful, as we have seen the Punjab Kings were batting first, they scored 243 runs, it could have been a one-sided game only by looking at the score.



However, Gujarat Titans had a solid batting performance and sometimes in the middle overs it looked like they would be able to chase it down. In the last over, they had to make some of the runs, Gujarat Titans lost 2 wickets in the last over, resulting in a defeat and hit six on the last ball but that did not make advantage to them as they had already lost the game. They lost it by 11 runs.

At the start, he was looking good tho and only messed up when the Vijay guy came, credit to bowler, for nailing those wide yorker length consistently against lefty and righty.

In hindsight one could make a case for other batters but no one expected such brainfade moment.

Guess, they need to find a way to play phillips in the playing XI (they went with only 3 overseas players), he could've saved 10-15 runs on the field and handy with the bat and with the ball (when there is some help).

In the T20 game, half of the game is dependent on the opening start. If the team open well, they mostly experience a win or if the team starts badly, they may get bad results. So if we talk about both teams opening, Punjab Kings were batting first, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh opened the game, but unfortunately Prabhsimran Singh was out early. However, the third number batsman Shreyas Iyer held the innings together.
 
While on the other hand, the target was high for Gujrat to chase, their openers start fast as Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill scored a lot but I think it was good to start fast but they should had to take care of their wickets, as after scoring very fast Shubman Gill was out and it makes pressure on the next players, hence they lost the game but still they tried well.

While on the other hand, the target was high for Gujrat to chase, their openers start fast as Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill scored a lot but I think it was good to start fast but they should had to take care of their wickets, as after scoring very fast Shubman Gill was out and it makes pressure on the next players, hence they lost the game but still they tried well.

Wickets were never a problem, GT bats deep. It was dot balls from Vijay that didn't allow GT batters to score runs as was required and eventually the deliveries weren't enough and so the loss.

There was a lot of intensity and interest in this match, but Gujarat Giants also had a chance to win and it looked like they would win until the end because they were under pressure to stop the runs, which is why we didn't give them much of a chance because in the end they had less balls and more runs, which is why we were disappointed with their good performance in the end.
