Below average bowling against SRH (a team known for its batting superpowers) was the main cause of defeat. RCB scored 200 runs which is average plus specially chasing a gigantic score. Royal Challengers Bengaluru's top-order batter Jacob Bethell will return to England due to a left finger injury he sustained in the league game against Punjab Kings on May 17 in IPL 2026. The problem for Punjab is that even with the latest win, they can't directly qualify for the playoffs. The poor performances in their recent matches will come back to bite them. That said, the recent performance from Rajasthan is not that satisfactory either. In the initial phases, they were in the top-2 of the points table. A string of unexpected defeats placed them in 4th to 5th positions. There is a lot of dependence on the opening pair of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
