It's final time. IPL 2026 has been a pretty boring season for me overall thanks to way too many one sided matches though I hope that the final itself will be entertaining considering the fact that GT and RCB are pretty evenly matched currently.

My bet is on GT to become 2 time trophy winners primarily thanks to their amazingly consistent top 3. If they field well, I don't see them losing this one.

Both openers were gone quickly. This allowed RCB to keep pressure on and restrict GT Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia on the crease.

With the last 4 overs remaining in the GT inning, they are not having a good total. With most chances, their chances are not high to have 150 runs as well because RCB bowlers are doing good bowling.

I was expecting some resistance, but GT failed again and started poorly defending this total is looking not easy.

We were probably all waiting for a high-scoring final. I thought we would enjoy a very exciting match. Both the teams were in good form. But the batting of Gujarat's batsmen disappointed me.

Gujarat's top order played very badly. After 17 overs, the team scored only 121 runs and lost 6 wickets. Except Washington Sundar, no other batsman could bat responsibly. Rasikh Salam and Krunal Pandya bowled well today, Rashik took 2 wickets for 17 runs in 3 overs.

If Gujarat can score 60+ in the last 3 overs, it will be a good target. But the chances of that are very low. I doubt if they can score even 40 runs in the last 3 overs.

I was a bit disappointed with Jacob Duffy bowling as he was a bit expensive and also wicketless, but that doesn't matter in the end because the rest of the bowlers were top notch today.

I was a bit disappointed with Jacob Duffy bowling as he was a bit expensive and also wicketless, but that doesn't matter in the end because the rest of the bowlers were top notch today. 

They controlled their batsmen with all their hard work and determination and the Gujarat Titan batsmen showed a lot of carelessness due to which they could only give a target of 155 runs which is of no value and they will soon be defeated with the same target. They also took wickets and also stopped runs due to which such a target could be achieved for 8 wickets and it has become difficult for Gujarat Titan to strengthen it. Sometimes, no one hard work and determination does not work, so it is not necessary that the expensive one comes first in every match but the real reason should be their success which is going to happen. Royals Challenger batsmen will succeed by achieving this target in a few overs.

What a brilliant performance shown by Rajasthan Royals team. That was a mind blowing batting they played. In starting they lost 2 wickets but Vibhav delivered great impact on opponent team and played outstanding inning. Je scored 96 runs in 47 balls. Another 2 players played brilliant inning. Just 3 players scored well runs. Remaining players did not deliver responsible inning. So they collectively made 214 run and lost 6 wicket. On the other hand Gujarat Titans team bowled poor bowling they gave more runs and got just 6 wickets. But in batting side they overcome their mistakes and played knockout inning. Shubman Gill batting was outstanding, he made 104 run in just 53 ball. Very good inning he played. So they played fast inning and chased a big total in just 18.4 overs and they won the match by 7 wickets.

I'm going with RCB, they are also considered as favourite. Both teams have a good batting lineup, but the performance of the bowlers will have a primary impact on the match result.

You were bang on with your predictions while mine were completely wrong in this match. GT basically repeated Q1 like morons and scored a below par target which made RCB 2 time champs. RR or SRH could have probably done a lot better here.

Yes GT openers started too slowly. In a big final game like this you cannot waste the balls or wait for the perfect delivery and this is the reason that they create pressure from the start and also put pressure on the rest of the team. On the other side if we see RCB team they utilize the power play by playing big shots and a good start . Yesterday RCB team was looking very calm and were playing with very confidence they were playing like that they will win and will become 2nd consecutive champions of ipl 2026.
