Social media is a place that everyone cannot leave in this era.
And the management of each social media benefit from being paid by sites and various platforms when they want to advertise their names.
The government cannot stop advertising because if you want to stop it, the government must indirectly prohibit the use of social media itself, while some social media are global.

Actually, the government is not at a disadvantage with advertising on social media, it's just that it becomes a problem when there is gambling advertising and some social media users are minors.
That means social media managers must be able to provide filters for all their users and only allow users over 18 years of age to view gambling or other adult advertisements. And the ad filter must be able to provide its features to all users so that they can filter the ads they want to appear on their homepage. Maybe the government can give this advice to social media managers because the only ones who can do this are the social media managers themselves. After doing that filtering, it is hoped that ads that are not suitable for users will not appear on their homepage.

The problem starts when there are minors and gambler who can't control their participation into gambling I see your point as social media platform most of the time are being view by both minor and mature people the consent is no longer needed as curiosity when begin to raise with minors they can simply click the site and start showing their interest, especially now where influencer are just a view away from anyone.

They can simply show you or encourage you how to play as quick as it can be and knowing minors nowadays they can simply do things that can bring them into gambling. (faking docs as they can simply use their parents' information)
I am pretty sure that gambling ads are targeted for people that are old enough. Google has gotten pretty good at profiling age groups and defining where you are from, are you male or female etc and it wouldn't even make sense for ad programs to waste ads on wrong target groups.

I am sure that it occasionally gets it wrong, at least with some ads.. At least in my case, i never got casino ads, maybe it's because where i am living, but i got actual lambo/sports car ads when last bullmarket was happening Smiley. Never casino ads though.

Lucky you, though you got a good point as google have that system where they can separate that information and they can select ads for any classification, and once you mistakenly click or if the system detects that there's a chance that you'll be interested with that particular niche, expect to receive more from that same criteria.

And moving back to gambling ads, expect to see more if you already visit one of those recommended ads.

Thats how SEO works on marketing on which it would be normal that they would really be throwing out lots of ads which is correlated on what you had currently searched or click on which this is where they would really be targeting out a possible client or prospect which it might really be able to get involved or buy a certain product or services on which it is really that normal. We've been through in lots of accidental clicks
that we do online and even just watching some ads on facebook on which if you do make out some simple searches on a certain product then when you do hover out then you would really be spammed out with
ads with having on that same corresponding content on which its never been that shocking. This is why if you dont like those ads been popping out then we could always make out some report
about on being that inappropriate.

My question is if this is just one of many marketing gimmick to make money or create awareness for a project they might be working on.

Who would win of course?

Can such a fight influence the crypto and stock market world majorly?

I also know bettings would be made for this, incase it goes down as reported. Who are you betting on?

You have to understand their differences first before knowing who will have super edge over another, now if we are to consider the entire social media networks then there's a more likeness for mark Zuckerberg to win because of his influence on the entire social media networks being the most recognized founder, but we can consider Elon Musk to have more win onnthe cryptocurrency channel because he's more recognized in the crypto world, we can also use their service net worth to judge and gamble over them as we may decide.
This is very true, we see Elon Musk only as a Billionaire who wants to do things , change the world, he behaves in a very strange way with the earth , he wants to conquer new worlds , things are like that, but since Mark is more young man, he has more support because Mark obviously with Facebook=Meta , things have turned out very well for him, besides his nature as a Person is not bad, even though he is a millionaire I know he is calm , he has no interest in Bad things, I think he has much more support for the cryptocurrencies because what Elon Musk did was throw the Bitcoin community on top when I speak badly , for my win Mark.

This is why it's questionable to see many gambling ads in different platforms that includes young people as well. Gambling ads are now all over the internet, not just specifically on youtube, but in most social media sites as well including facebook. Most gambling ads are masked into memes or entertaining videos which is somehow concerning especially if the children aren't supervised by their parents in using these platforms. But I guess we can't really hinder the growth of gambling and its reach, hence people must adjust to safeguard their little ones in stumbling upon ads related to any sort they don't have to know yet at a young age.

Here many things will always be evident, first the responsibility of the parents, because parents know that if their children under 18 years of age must be aware and supervise them of all activities they do, that is something they must do.

Raising a child is always difficult, no one said it was easy, because things always change and as time goes by things get more complicated because they are more rebellious, and the internet must always have control parental to avoid crazy things that they see.

One of the things that is always seen in the parenting style of parents, how dedicated they are to their children, if they really show the interest they have, all issues with children and young people must be addressed, when it comes to money have to be very clear, speak to them truthfully so that they do not get into trouble, that is something that many already know due to their experience, like all fathers or mothers, they always seek the best for their children, that is why gambling They should be told about everything, the good things and especially the bad, the dangers of addiction.

You are over estimating the care and due diligence of Google unfortunately.     Maybe they are able to judge age but they frequently promote things they shouldnt including illegal scamming, phishing and just plain fraud.    Its probably because quite alot of the system is automated and people work their way around it.   All you can rely on that the firm will avoid getting fined for putting the wrong adverts in the wrong places, they should take action but I frequently saw bad ads not suitable for anyone as its a fake product but maybe they cant be fined for deception adverts as its quite common to see them.

Behind glossy ads, they're peddling a digital mirage of money and success! These platforms are "rigged casinos" where the house - or website - always wins. Social media gambling ads are another beast. It feels like neon signs are shouting, "Get rich quick, just bet!" It's never that easy. These adverts lure inexperienced and needy people into a loss spiral. Filter advise is a Band-Aid on a sinking ship. Instead, outlaw these deceptive ads. If not, then strict restrictions and clear disclaimers, a true consumer protection. Why bandage if we can prevent the cut?

While this is completely true I do not see it happening as this will require the entire advertising industry to reinvent itself, become heavily regulated and monitored for this to work, advertisers are allowed by law to make fluff statements with the intention of improving the perception of the consumer has of their products, and if a gambling ad states that someone can earn a fortune on their casino they are not really lying as this could happen, however what they do not mention is that the possibilities of this happening are incredibly low and the most likely outcome is that you will lose your money.

That's their job too. These ads attract people to their site and make them gamble. Ads serve their purpose. I don't think there will be any prohibition because the person is free to make decisions. Those advertisers do not force you into the site.

There are winners too, so there's nothing wrong with advertisers. I agree with you about what they didn't mention.

This is why if you dont like those ads been popping out then we could always make out some report about on being that inappropriate.

I'm sure the current algorithm is close to being 99.9% accurate.

There's no way in most cases that inappropriate advertisements will just throw randomly that's why reporting those ads won't change anything since the ads thrown were accurate based on their system not unless we can back up our report with accurate details and information.

It's just that users have to live with that and accept that related ads will really be shown based on the user's activity.

These ads attract people to their site and make them gamble. Ads serve their purpose. I don't think there will be any prohibition because the person is free to make decisions. Those advertisers do not force you into the site.

There are winners too, so there's nothing wrong with advertisers. I agree with you about what they didn't mention.
The ad is just a choice given to people, and the ad is not telling people to gamble. But what those people do is they visit the site and start depositing money to play gambling. So there is a tendency as if the ad is telling people to gamble even though it is just an ad. People are free to choose, but they see gambling as a way to get money fast when it's not. And perhaps now the number of advertisements has increased, not only on Youtube but other social media to attract more users.

This has a point. It's still entirely up to you if you will give into the temptation of gambling. The advertisements are just there to encourage you but the decision still lies on your hands. Although having more and more ads in social media platforms and in the internet in general has its cons as well since not everyone has the capacity to be logical thinkers. There are minors lurking around the web which can stumble upon many ads about gambling that can affect their way of thinking even their decision making. Since adolescents mostly are impulsive and I'm saying this based on experience myself when I was younger. So, i think it's much better to have regulation of gambling advertisements so that there won't be too much of it and it can just reach the right target audience or market.

They do promote things that are illegal, scams, phishing, or inappropriate in some cases because everything works with algorithms and there aren't human operators manually checking and approving each ad submitted as you said, people always find a way around automated systems to bypass the security or sensor measures that are put in place to exclude all these things and don't allow ads that have any of the elements mentioned earlier.

Even the age factor is automated, everything on these websites and services works using algorithms and they are the ones who place the ads in our browsers and videos that we watch on YouTube, it's all based on our search history and what we've been watching recently when logged in with their accounts.

We must not give up and be tempted to visit advertisements for gambling sites, especially gambling sites that we don't know. There are lots of advertisements for gambling sites like that on the internet, and it requires caution in choosing one. The internet only provides a place to search, while social media sites or other sites are just a place to promote, so we have to filter them so we don't experience any fraud. And indeed, minors can easily find any advertisement online because they already know the device, namely the cellphone. They can search for any sites they want unlimitedly, and if they visit a gambling site, it can have a bad impact on them because curiosity will make them want to play gambling. This is what every parent should be aware of for their children.

You do just only need the common sense which you do really have, of course you cant just simply click up on randomly just because it did make some pop out but eventually these are normal things that do exist considering
that these places that we've been using are being also used by tons of people or users on which it would really be just that right that they would really be making use of it as a medium for marketing. We do have different
automation now when it comes to leads and niches on which on the time that a certain user do click up on something then it would be understandable that they do already know on what you are interested into
and this is why we do see up these recommendations.

All the things been shown around though or online isnt always legit and this is why it would really be just that right that you should really be making in depth more research when it comes to things
because if you dont really be able to do so then you might be ending up on a disaster.

After doing that filtering, it is hoped that ads that are not suitable for users will not appear on their homepage.
yes there should be. However, in reality, today's children are able to make their own settings, which sometimes don't match what their parents expect. Meanwhile, on several sites, online games, or YouTube, gambling ads continue to grow and are very easy to find. This looks really promising for these young people. In this case, parental control is indeed important, but we as parents also cannot control it for 24 hours straight and monitor all activity on the device in real time online 24 hours a day. This is indeed a challenge for the online world that continues to grow. Indeed, he hopes that the government will automatically block advertisements like that in this country.

Still part of a responsible parenting is to know what the kids are doing online, like you mentioned those young minds always wanted to explore and if they manage to click one of those sites that being advertised the chance that curiosity might trigger them to play after being allured by the site promotions or offers.

We can't really control those ads as they are paying a huge amount for allowing them to promote using the platform. We should be responsible for how we react and how we keep an eye, not just with our visits but most with our kids' activities.

Yes as parents it is not possible to monitor your child 24/7. With technology you can do it but that might sounds like invading the privacy of your child. The parent needs to establish whether they want to put a surveillance on their child by checking the environment they are part of . I mean the friends the child has and what they are generally do in the lesiure time. Technically monitoring is possible if you know how to use the technology.

We need to rephrase this a bit because as a parent you have no control over the gambling ads whether they are on Youtube, social media or where ever, but if you want, you can and should control your kids and tell them not to gamble.

Another thing to note is that gambling is not free of cost. There is no way the kids can go online and start gambling just like they play online games. In gambling, we have to put in our money and then gamble/bet. How come kids get that money to gamble? I believe parents are equally responsible if their kids have the money to gamble. The parents themselves give the money to kids and later feel surprised how they gamble:Smiley

Now that i think about it there has been a rather large raise in gambling ads. Not only on YouTube tho, on Facebook and other platforms aswell. Not really sure if they are allowed however, more likely that a group/person has built a good spoofing method that allows them to trick the system. The ROi is great on these ads/offers, just running them has usually been a pain.

Ads like this will be very normal because they are aware that when marketing through adds then with good images and ad visualisation then at least they can bring some new gamblers from it.
Social media today is always a part of people especially with algorithms that sometimes when we search for gambling once then there will be a lot of adverts appearing about things like this.
Regardless of whether it is good or not for the platform they are advertising it actually depends on us in sorting especially when looking at new sites so this becomes a good marketing technique for them but of course in the selection of sites we ourselves must have our own reference.
