I think Bayern is still slightly favorites against Arsenal, Bayern has never failed to advance to the next round when they met Arsenal in the Champions League (4 times).
Arsenal might get 3 points in the 1st leg but most likely they will be eliminated because of the aggregate goals at Bayern home in the 2nd leg later.

From head to head both teams so far, of course, we cannot deny that Bayern Munich is very superior to Arsenal, and even in their last meeting in the Champions League Bayern Munich managed to destroy Arsenal 10-2 on aggregate at once it became a record of poor results Arsenal got in the Champions League, it may not be ethical for us to underestimate Arsenal at a time of their current rising form in the league,  But to be honest we can't expect more when Arsenal have to face Bayern Munich who have been quite tough in the Champions League

Not just that game it's already two consecutive games they've played and they have raised the bar of them performance. Don't compare them with Arsenal, mind you they have almost all kf them Injured players back from Injury.

They're at the same time, exerting so much pressure on Xavi Alonso and his Bayern Leverkusen side but I do doubt if it'll be easy to knock Bayern Leverkusen off the top. For the Champions League clash, they're my favorites  to win until gunner's prove otherwise.

How Arsenal got through the round of 16 against Porto opened my eyes to this team from North London and they are nothing more than a mediocre team in this competition. They had difficulties against Porto and they should have been able to qualify without having to go through a penalty shootout. But that is the reality that the teams that are so promoted in this biggest competition are nothing more than participating teams each season.

Yes, I agree with you that Real Madrid glory days are gone after Manchester City had a much more perfect squad, while Manchester City players didn't have many changes and remained a perfect squad, while Real Madrid didn't have the players they had during its heyday has quality players like Benzema and Ronaldo.

I wouldn't be so sure that Real Madrid will win Man City in that match because the match is a very tight one with both having equal opportunities. Man City is not a team to write off easily, they have broken that hard luck that prevented them from winning the UCL for many years. They have the team and the coach to win the trophy again this season.

Real Madrid may appear a favorite team to advance to the next stage but I will not bet my money on that because the match can go either way.
